Personally I think the Q and the 3000 are a great match, go with the bl if you want output, but go with the Q or 3000 if you want lows. Watch out for the 3000 being out of stock though. Just check my signature. You can see what I chose but I love Fi as well.

I lied dominick makes a 200amp for my car... Yay, considering my alt is dying right now. -
jl w7's?

Here are some of my comparison pics, all 10" woofers. Note the impressive size of my newest pair (10" Tc sounds oem's.) TC sounds oem 10" against a 10" alpine type E TC sounds oem, side by side with a Diamond D1 woofer.

That box looks awesome. I love different looks in car audio. There are too many plain jane carpet and vinyl boxes around.

If it were up to me, I would choose dominick iraggi alts, albeit some delays in production sometimes, than ohio gen, but the high price and excessive amperage. At least you have an option. For my set-up Dominick Irragi is the only one who will build me a big enough alternator. Ohh, and that's a 180 amp. (The largest alt built for my car) -
So let's say you were buying a vehicle...

Can't wait for an amplifier review (personally wouldn't know where to start when reviewing an amp) Bet you couldn't tell from my sub woofer review.

The Q and Bl are basically two variations on the same level of woofer. (like mitsubishi eclipse and eagle talon). The Q is made to be as linear as possible and some just amazing, it does get loud and low too. The Bl is made for those who don't necessarily want to take the step to the btl level, can handle more power than the Q, but at 1000 watts, I am willing to guess the Q will outperform the bl in output due to the stiffer suspension on the Bl. SO my recommendation would be to get the Q.

the truth is I am not really set on 7.1 just like the reciever and would like to try it. My budgets are never set, and I will always overshoot my budget by about 33%. I could always do a projector, I could get one off of my dad's work for pretty cheap as they sell off used equipment at the end of every year. I am just looking for suggestions, I don't even know if this is going to happen as I want to buy a car next year too, before I start getting swamped with medical school. -

and a 42" tv isn't a final solution either, I could easily get a 56" non hdtv for cheaper than a 42" plasma lcd. Or I could always go with a non flat panel tv and go bigger for the same price... This project is currently in a thought stage, so pretty much everything is up for change. Right now my goal budget including tv is 5 grand for equipment (not room construction as my grandparents own a construction company). -
msrp: 175 dollars per woofer. was doing mid 40's in a ported enclosure in the trunk of a neon, high 39's low 40's with a sealed box.

yea, generally you can turn your gains up slightly more in 4 ohms than 1 ohm.
