the h701 retails @ $400cdn??? Or is that your cost. I know it retails for ~525 american dollars and the controller is 200. You can find them on ebay all day long at 350 for the h701 and 180 for the c701. -

I know with Jeff's headunit he can control it, but it is one of the top of the line dvd pieces from a year or two back. -

If I had a choice to do it all over again I would go with the alpine pxa-h701. It is a crossover and eq all in one. I have the eclipse 8455 but it only allows me to do 4 speakers and a subwoofer, I am running 6 speakers and a woofer. I have my tweets and mids in the kick ran off one pair and my tweets in the a-pillars ran off the other set and it works great. Not as great as Jeff's camaro and his alpine pxa-h701 though. I am looking for a used one at the moment. Would love to get a used one with the controller. -
The only issue I have had with aluminum was the plastic dustcap coming off every once in a while on my diamond d1's.

I have never heard of cone related failures with the titanium cones, and the issue with the aluminum cones from TC sounds has been dealt with and fixed.

I am only using one terminal set so far as I lost one of my terminal screws and I am waiting for jacob (no rush) to have some extra ones to send me.

I would put the 1500d on bottom as class d amps are more efficient and are normally cooler unless driven hard.

Hi i was wondering what u all thought bout the amp SAX-100.2
audio-neon replied to john567855's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
secks would be good, but I would just go for the 100.4, never know when you are gonna wanna amplify more channels. -
Great choice on subs... I love mine.

Mark, stop making me want to drive all the way out to az to jack your ride for a listen.

I might just have to buy a 15"er and write a review better than my sloppy tc sound oem 10" review.

I met a guy tonight in a nissan altima with two gti's doing that was loud! I was surprised to say the least.

Since I was introduced to playing music a decade ago, I have been to numerous concert halls and even to an acoustical design firm just to learn about proper imaging and staging. The affects of material densities, seating arrangements, ceiling and wall shapes, even colors and the number of people in a room vs empty chairs. I have spent time listening to music just to listen. I have sat in a room, turned off everything non-critical and just listened. I had the privilege just last week to be sitting in my brothers room with a cheap sony surround sound system. And while he was out picking up his girlfriend I re-positioned all of his speakers, and TV, re-set all of his settings on his eq and just played with it until it sounded right. When he came back into his room later that night he was baffled. I got a call at work that night asking me what I had changed in his room (equipment wise) and I said nothing. He was amazed that a little placement could go a long way. (especially corner loading his woofer) which increased bass without needing increased volume. I was nice enough to have left the movie black hawk down in, cued to the scene Irene. He pushed play when he got home, and was just amazed at the crisp bass, that he was used to being washy (poor acoustical room shape). I tell people all of the time, You don't need focal berylliums to sounds amazing. But you are committing a sin if you don't take the effort to make your current equipment live up to its fullest potential. Granted my car sounds awesome to most people (not as good as my last sq car yet), but people are often amazed when they get in my car (which has a few audio stickers on the back windshield) and are expecting boomy rap, and instead they are greeted by great imaging, staging and a relatively flat response. Bass isn't overwhelming especially considering they are sitting in an spl car. I have been blessed to have a great car audio mentor, and I am working on bringing that same philosophy into my house.

I hear ya buds I have already decided that when I do get married, I will just spend an enormous amount of money on my wife's ring so that she can never use that line against me... but than again If all goes well I will be a heart surgeon and making some pretty decent amount of money.

I will try and get it on video, i don't know if my digital camera will pick it up, worst case scenario, is I send it back to you to get looked at.

almost deffinitely a hatch, my best, even in testing on a Tl with one saz-1500d and 2 10" woofers in a neon has only been 140.9 so far, but I need to do some more wiring and get a real battery and fix some issues... Speaking of issues, I noticed my Saz-1500d is quite noisy lately. Turn on and off pops, and if you touch the gain knob at all it pops as well. Kinda of a soft thudding sound, is this normal??

MY saz-1500d only generally gets warm when I push it, but it wasn't too bad even right after bass race. It was very warm, but that was with some clipping going on.

here is a vid that I made for kicks... of the oem's in the spl box.

Here is a little list of the equipment I am looking at getting. Reciever: Yamaha Rx-v661 Dvd: Yamaha DVD-C750 Speakers: 3 pairs of Axiom Audio M3v2 bookshelves Axiom Audio Vp-100v2 center Substage Amp: Behringer EP2500 The woofer(s) is still undecided, but that is ok, because this will be next years project. Leaning towards a single TC sounds 3000 (15") or a Fi Q (18")

Well first comp of the season yesterday, I was not really prepared, my resin on my box wasn't completely cured, I hadn't done any testing, my car looked like crap... but I went anyways. I hit low yesterday, but was having issues all day. Final run for head 2 head eliminations was a 139.1 in street A. Good enough for first place. Street B was won by TJ (goes by old/skool on termpro) with a 151. something. Street C was won by my friend Matt in his ford festiva with a 138.6. Bob the guy with the blue van and all the t3 woofers was there doing mid 60's all day, it was impressive. Bassrace, I came in third in the 139 class, I wanted to be in the 129 class but qualified with a 130.2. Ended up in third in bassrace. So here are some pics of the work I have been doing all weekend... and some of the show. This is bob's truck doing 160's+ all Sunday.

~5 hours maybe a little more. I'm practically in Albany, Colonie is a suburb with more population and more land mass than the city of Albany... I'm sure we could always hit up shows in Syracuse considering that is about half way in between the both of us.

Yea, there were only about 16 ppl competing, we are trying to revive the local spl scene, so some of the Team 420 heavy hitters were there.
