I think I am going to sleep on my porch today so when my amp comes I will be there to get it!!!! God I can't wait for 4000+ watts of pure sex... My subs are already cowering in fear. (yes there will be pics when it arrives, ok.) Just another saz-1500d.

15 amps is about all you get from a stock alt to power accessories. Definitely not enough... But for some reason I play mine all day @ 1 ohm on a factory alt and battery. Maybe his battery is dying too?

The issue with the house is the rooms downstairs are common rooms, like one big hallway with just a little trim separating the rooms. I figured the couch idea would be fun b/c you would feel and hear it... That and the house isn't really geared well for ib as there is no attic and the walls are brick, with just a layer of insulation and drywall on the inside. Not bad for a first house, that I can rent out after I move away to college and stuff. It was my grandmother's but they are moving so I am getting a good deal on it.

1/0 into a dual 4 out fuse holder (memphis audio) than 2 runs all the way back to the amp. They fit pretty well in the 1/0 spot. so I wouldn't call it stuffing per se.

slow hop tonight...

I already paid for my kinetik, it is being delivered to me at the Suitland Maryland Show on the 15th.

Do you really just go out of your way for people to call you a dumbass?

and Jim, I got bottom. I am buying a house, with my friend instead of renting an apartment. So it is time for me to start investing in ht. He already has a big screen tv. We are buying my grandmother's house for 60 grand. It is a nice 2.5 bedroom, (only one bathroom though). Full kitchen, large dining room and nice 10 foot ceilings.

I want to build a woofer couch... Capable of 5-8 hz... Should I go dual 18" woofers or what? It will be a full size (probably plus a bit) couch. I am thinking 2 18" tc sounds lms 5400,s or 4 18" Fi Q's in iso.

looks clean, I like it.

How much room would you really need for a pair of 10" level 4's seeing ~2100 watts each rms?... Could they work in 2 cubic feet ported to 46 hz... Or are these subs made for larger enclosures?

who in the hell is who? I am MJ.

Originally I ran it on just 1 run of 4 ga. @ 1 ohms, but after my first comp. I ran more 4 ga. I run 2 runs of 4 ga. per amp right now. but I am still worried that it won't be enough when they are strapped @ .5 ohms each.

I always miss the hop parties.... So anyways my new radiator fan came in early, but of course I am broke.

Water proof Jacob.. Waterproof... you'll have a winner for sure *goes to find my surfboard wax) What kinda output you were thinking at (stereo and bridged) ? I want to do it's rating at 12.5 volts no sweat... 250 x 2 @ 4 ohms and 1000 x 1 @ 4 ohms. That is the idea So we are looking at close to 500 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms??? Can anyone say crazy 8" mid-bass amplifier? -
i happen to be a huge fan of paper cones over plastic and metal... lol!

good night guys, I am hitting the sack... Long week plus it will be in the 90's today and tomorrow with high humidity (70+%)
-
You have me beat out of a trunk lol... My damned frameless windows.
-
jacob, are we going with a composite cone... and any possibility of doing a competition version (much like the TC 5200 kit?)... I want them in 10"ers... LOL.
-
Does anyone know what this sub is. I have somebody looking to sell it to me but we don't know what it its. \ And yes it is a 10".

Sometimes we overlook the stupidest little things. I know when I put my DD m1 in my buddies truck the phase know wasn't all the way to one side or another costing him a bit of volume.
-
Whenever I get stumped I start re-setting my gains, ssf's etc all over again. Start with just setting the low pass around 60-70 hz, than leave the ssf all of the way down if it is sealed. Make sure the phase is all of the way one way or the other. Turn your head unit up to about 3/4 volume and just start turning the gain up. Remember that a sine wave will clip before music.

to SSA!
