    1998 Dodge Neon

Just wait till the myspace kiddies of your group see some of my other project(s). A 1991 camaro, a 2000 chevy silverado (lifted 8 inches) a 1985 k1500 lifted 6 inches, my own personal Camaro (looking for one for my own b-day etc... The neon is just getting old and using neons for audio cars is just starting to get depressing. I figure if I take a year or two off of audio I can have a decent car to play with. * I have yet to add a real battery and do not suggest running the 1500d's at 1 ohm strapped (.5 each) off of a factory charging system*

    1998 Dodge Neon

It's too bad my neon started acting up as soon as we got to Maryland. So we turned around and started the long 6 hour drive home. Sometime next week I will bug marty to bring his TL over so I can give you guys some more numbers. Here a bunch of the recent progress pics, and I went back to the old box b/c the new one was having issues.

    Strapping 2 1500's

I have been running mine @ 1ohms for almost a week now, with no electrical system to back them... *I know I know*. As long as you set your gains properly the amps will take it fine. Just be smart with the volume if you don't have the charging system to support it.

    ICON VIDEO'S

His are also broken in and in a larger ported box. All helping that sub to move to its fullest potential.

    some questions

I wasn't trying to imply that you should use a btl in infinite baffle. An underhung tc2 or Image Dynamics 18D are just amazing sounding in IB though and can get hella low.

    some questions

I know for a fact that your camaro can fit 2 18"s in infinite baffle in the trunk, so any of the btl sizes should work for you if fed enough power.

    ***** SPL 12 Pre-Order *****

is there eventually going to be a 10" version. You have piqued my interest.

    Welcome to the IHoP

so fixed my low pass today, but didn't get audibly louder at all. I think I am running into compression issues that I can hopefully alleviate when I port this box tomorrow. Right now its ~2.04 cubic feet sealed. Seeing over 3600 watts from a pair of saz-1500d's strapped at 1 ohm. (.5 per amp)
  10. I wouldn't miss the crossover. You can use the crossover on your head unit for a simple front/rear/sub setup. Or, if you want to go with a tweet/mid/sub active setup, most will either use an external EQ/over. I like the idea of a 5/6 channel, saves a lot of space, installation headaches, time, wire, and cost. The sub channel is never really that powerful where you can get a good amount of bass. You can call it an SAX-1400.6 and it would be a truly unique product. I haven't seen a 5/6 channel with a 1000 watt sub channel. I think there are a lot of family oriented guys who need their trunk (like me) who would love to have something like this. Doesn't the memphis belle, the big one have a 1300 watt sub channel @ 1 ohms.

    Welcome to the IHoP

so I am sitting in my bed all depressed today b/c one of my ex's decided to stop by un-announced after not talking to her in over a year. When it finally hits me. Why didn't going from one saz-1500d to two strapped gain me anything... b/c I turned the low pass all of the way down before I set the gains... dur!

    Welcome to the IHoP

I really did enjoy the movie, what I was trying to get at it was the story lines were not as good as I was really hoping for. The graphics were amazing, and yes the patroness (sp?) charm did change.

I am willing to watch anything. I have actually bought a movie just for the soundtrack.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I would have to say that it is definitely one of the least captivating of the Harry Potter movies. It does the book no justice. You take the 880 page Order of the Phoenix novel, and make it into the shortest harry potter movie yet? You emphasize Dolores Umbridge, a one book character, and yet you put Ron and Hermione on the back burner. The first 4 movies did a much better job of telling the story. I am not saying that this movie was a bad movie. It is a very good movie. But when the series is over, many people will think of this one as the weakest, unless some other director can manage to over emphasize small characters, and loose the magic of Harry Potter.

    SD-1 question

I would do two 10" sd-1's ported to 30 hz.

    Welcome to the IHoP

So I hooked up my second saz-1500d today. Funny thing is, that it isn't much louder. I am will be porting the box soon though. Hopefully with my port-happy subs I can get louder.

    SD-1 quick listen impressions

Hint... they throw down hard ported, tuned low Rich was kind enough to build a box to my specs for the SD-1s tuned in the 30s. I also tested them in a double flared box my brother built tuned dead on at 30 Hz and a bit larger than the one Rich made for me and the extension was even lower. That box was a bit large for my application, though, as I stuff my trunk full of amps every day The SD-1 is a keeper. I will be running two of the 10" SD-1s on a daily basis in my primary car if that tells you anything. How do the sd-1's like iso mount, say 20 hz tune??? I really want to do something low for a daily setup.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I just got done ordering more stuff for my car; wiring tid-bits and a radiator fan. Now I am going to sleep but I really can't, just waiting for my saz-1500d to show up. Than I can sleep.

    TC Sounds OEM 10"

Just a little update guys... This sub is now 2 boxes later, fully broken in and awaiting my second saz-1500d to unleash some more hell. They have taken everything I can throw at them. They can get low. and sound good doing so. Here are just a bunch more pics of what they have been through:
