He listed his budget @ 200$

Jacob, I sent you money for one under my rangerxlt email.

I still think the sundown would be fine (unless it fried from low voltage) if you switched from agu to anl fuses. (and made sure the wire that was going into/leaving the fuse holder is still a shiny copper color.
-
morel tempo components or hertz hi-power components would be my suggestion.
-
Jacob said it better.
-
Jacob, i'll be sending you money for 2 soon. Just waiting on my brother to give me the cash for them.

ANL> than circuit breakers imo. Circuit breakers are more accurate but get trip happy. I prefer them both. both in the same install is not only overkill, it's wasted voltage/and or/ current.

yup thats my R/T and it is a cervini kit but i decided to not go with the exhaust blow through skirt due to the fact it robbs horse power noo many sharp bends:) Shes hella dirty I love the look of that kit. I know what you mean about the exhaust routing though.

is that a cervini sniper kit on that dakota in the background... and if it is does it have the sideskirts with the side exit exhaust? Nice mr3

Bigger magnets aren't everything. Although a large diameter single slug is a big thing. It isn't all of what makes a sub efficient. A suspension that is soft enough to allow a lot of movement without too much movement, a super light cone etc. A long voice coil with a very linear throw followed by just enough power and enough (but not too much) motor strength. And that is all very general. If you want to design transducers you need a lot of schooling and patience.

I think you'd be better off going with the 7000 watt model. Like you said, for the cost of this 4000 watt model, they could simply double up on 3000D's and have more power available. I think the 3000D is holding its own in that wattage range. If you offered something to compete with the Stetsom 7KD or Cactus Sounds 7Kw, I think you'd be much better off. the problem with that is that very few people buy amps of that size and I get the feeling that Jacob wants to enter into the market that is dominated by the likes of Zapco and Arc Audio If you look around, there are quite a few people that have bought 4x 1500D's or 4x 3000D's, they could replace those four amps with either 1 or 2 of the 7Kws and maintain efficiency and space. The market is there, however the product is not. A lot of people won't touch Stetsom for daily because they have been known to be burp-only amps. how many average customers buy 7kw amps? not very many Jacob is focusing on his core business the guys that walk into the shop and have X ammount of cash to spend and they want a quality piece such as Zapco and just cant afford it I understand that, but with the 3000D already in place I don't see a need for a 4000 watt amp. For daily, I don't see a whole lot of people looking for 4000 watts. For competitions, they could use two 3000D's for the same price and have more power, both for burps and continuous (bassrace), than the 4000 watt offers. I think a 5000 or 7000 watt amp would be the better move. Regulated Power Supplies= better for bass race. The amps will put out a much more consistent amount of power even as your vehicle voltage is dropping.

Zapco DC reference 650.6

I'll do my best next summer to get the car out to as many people on the east coast as possible. Representing Audio Obsessions and SSA. I also have a project in the works for the rest of my supporters, it will be built around the same time as this car. -

I have an 08 Jeep patriot that will most likely be seeing a Hybrid Audio Legatia L8/L1 pro combo up front and a single sub in the rear. I have been weighing my options and I am curious. I am going for a stealth install, so basically you will see the amp. I'll be using the factory 6 cd head-unit so my options are this amp, an h701/rux-c701 combo or a rockford fosgate 360.2. The sub section will be one 8" sub seeing 360 watts at 4 ohms. Which option would you go with if your goal was awesome sq from a stealth install using factory head-unit, factory mounting locations etc... -
Hybrid Audio Technologies Hertz Image Dynamics Horns Morel Dynaudio Focal Mb Quart and than there is the best option: Processing + HAT or your separates.

Nick, I think he hears coil rub... Idk maybe they got damaged in shipping.

Zapco DC reference 650.6
audio-neon replied to audio-neon's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
As previously mentioned I have a few friends in the local area. I'm not bashing Hybrid audio, but I will be looking for a true SQ car for those speakers. The Elate's 20hz bottom end on the woofer makes a sub not necessary and I like to support all of my car audio friends as often as possible. If it wasn't for Adam and Audio Obsessions, I wouldn't be where I am today. -

audio-neon replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
yea, I could always play with a couple of them myself. My sad update is that the jeep patriot will not be seeing a dedicated subwoofer with the fronts I picked out (besides my front speakers will reach down to 20 hz.) -

I'm going subless. So the zapco 650.6 will be perfect. My entire sound system is going to be composed of morel elate 9 3-ways. 20-25k hz covered and all in factory mounting positions as well. Now I just need to start saving up the dough. -
Damping Factor/Slew Rate/Muddy Sound Question

A great mid-bass option for your budget is the MLI-65 speaker from Mach 5 audio. 36$ for a pair iirc. -
Sorry, I caught up on some reading. I don't know what the coupon codes are but you probably still have to email SSA for them.

Time to upgrade the electrical system
audio-neon replied to Smondo17's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
H/O alts range from 280-600 for most cars.. Some of the newer computer controlled alts cost more. Ohio Gen is normally on the more expensive side, but I have yet to see one fail from poor production.
