Thats true, The guy thats gonna build a ported box for me said I dont need SSF its a "myth" lol.. and im not gonna take a risk of destroying my subs because my amp doesnt have SSF You don't need one. Amps were made for countless years without them and subwoofers survived. As long as you're not wailing on them too far below tuning, you shouldn't have a problem. I'd run without a subsonic any day with any drivers in any vented enclosure. I did it all throughout the 90s, and sometimes even today, and never hurt a driver. It is a useful tool, but not a necessity. That's a very good point (unless your me and running over double the rms of the driver) Yes, but someone of your knowledge would not be stupid enough to do this in a possible unloading situation. It works, but if it's got voids it sucks, I only use it for low powered home sub setups.

Need Amp Suggestions

I wouldn't even bother putting a 15 in your trunk. A solid 12" will have more room to breathe. -
Myspace Drew?

You would probably hate riding with me. I have driven as far south as Virginia, I plan on making the drive to SBN next spring. We gonna roll down to elite summer nationals this year. Will be the biggest show I have ever been to When and where. I don't have a car but I could probably take a summer vacation.

Well whatever tune is safe to play rap music i dont care.. So will 35 work? Yes, 35 hz would be fine. Most commercial rap music doesn't have anything in it below 40 hz.

Case in Point - Daily commute, incompetent morons are the ones who are causing an accident or two a day on the major highways here causing serious delays and back ups, making my already 90 minutes commute 2+ hours. The snoody rich ass holes in their BMW's are the ones moving faster and smarter. So it goes both ways, but I feel the opposite of you. It could be due to growing up and working with arrogant people abound and being able to deal and adjust, while slow and stupid (or in this case incompetents) make me much more angry. Heck, the same thing goes for the audio business for me. I would rather deal with arrogant or snoody people then the incompetent idiots that bring down the quality of everything. Snoody rich assholes trying to cut in line when a two lane road narrows down to one causes most traffic congestion in Houston, so eff em You would never survive Boston. Boston is easy driving, minus the construction areas. NYC drivers are completely willing to hit you to get you to move.

how do you determine tuning frequency?

IF you find that link please post it, I can add it to my bookmarks. -
I want to see a picture of him signing over 4 saz-3000d's, 1x sax-100.4. 8 x 18" nightshades and his jeep.

I hate being jobless. It's exponentially shrinking my hopes to have a SS1-2 car built and ready for SBN 2009.

Honestly, it probably wouldn't affect things at all. I would toss a layer of sound deadener on the sheet metal before glassing, and glass it thick. You don't want your sheet metal vibrating any more than it currently is.

I couldn't deal with the heat, or the people. Both would drive me insane eventually. I know some nice Texans in Katy...

The cone is nothing special, it's basically the same material TC sounds was using on a lot of their OEM drivers.

1 or 4 ohms. with one amp (it equals- .5 or 2 ohms per amp if strapping).

Solving For Length of Vent or Port Note k values: vent has one free end and one flanged = 0.732 vent has two free ends = 0.614 vent has two flanged ends = 0.850 Where Lv = length of port or vent Dv = diameter of port or vent Dmin = minimum diameter of port or vent Np = number of ports or vents Vb = volume of box fb or Fb = tuning frequency k = end correction factor Sd = surface area of subwoofer Vd = driver displacement volume Xmax = maximum linear displacement of driver -
If it were me, I would get two sae-1000d's unless the price on the saz-1500d was still under budget.

You'll get there I'm getting closer, I have to overtake nick from Fi next, lol.
