I recommend you get onto ebay and look out for an older RF 800a2 or 800.2. Its a class a/b, its clean, they usually bench around 1100MS@4ohm mono too. Great amps. Also see if you can source a Kicker zr1000, they do around 1400RMS at 1ohm and are built very well. Forget all this cheap D class crap

Dude, as Nick said, that box is frightfully wrong. Whoever told you to go for THE box? The recommended is 2cubes tuned to 28hz. You will not get the very best out of that woofer without giving it its right enclosure. Enclosures make or break subs, its a fact. Lets hope those AMG people know what they are doing!

hum - lemme think now. u are comparing 2 very different subs. like comparing a JL Audio 12W0 to an RF Hx2 for example - there is the world of difference between these speakers, least of all in weight, quality of parts, internal design, and most of all SQ. SPL wise its always difficult to make a guess as there are hundreds of small factors whihc together can contribute to a db here or there. but one thing is certain - SQ will be world's apart

more of a marketing thing than a mass produced woofer. i do know some were made, but not sure of the quantity. the SHP (the one below the LVS, thats what i think it was called anyway) was a good hard hitter
