I've got a single Havoc 12 powered by a 1500D. The box is 2.0 cu ft and is tuned to 33 hz. I metered at ~140 brand new out of the box on a TL in the kick panel. It was in a n 04 BMW 330Ci which is not a very good car for SPL. There is a lot of padding in the back seat which was up during testing.

Update...the Havoc seems to be broken in. Unlike the Q, which significantly changed as it broke in, the Havoc seems to be change a little less. I would say that the Havoc is more comparable to a n XBL2 XXX than a Q. Most Fi Q setups seem to be tuned to 30-32 hz. I had mine tuned a little higher (33hz...maybe 34hz when you factor in my box building skills) so I didn't have any issues with 70+ output. My only knock against the sound of the Q was that it is a little harder to blend into my front stage because of the increased top end. Whereas my XBL2 XXX 12 was very easy. The Havoc makes it easy. Conclusion....the Havoc does everything extremely well...this can fit into any system. Again, I would definitely choose this over the Q considering the price. I wouldn't necessarily run out and ditch my Q for a Havoc. I upgraded purely for promotion purposes. You get a little more bottom end with a little more refined sound vrs the Q. You won't regret getting either sub! The edge goes to the Havoc.

If you want more top end, a Havoc might not be your best choice. I say that because the Havocs play low at the expense of the top end. 3 Chaos12s ported might work out better for you. The Chaos series work best in small ported ported boxes. From my experience, they have more top end output.

Two in progress pics 04 BMW 3 series 06 Dodge Charger...its done, haven't shot anything finished.

You're an animal but that's pretty damned cool!

Looks great! I can't think of anyone that changes out more amps and subs than you! I also like the coverings on the amps. Is that a sticker or something? BTW...good luck.

I guess you can see the pics now? Its between the Havoc and Arsenal in power handling and price. Retail starts at $309 for a 10er and comes in a 10", 12", 15", and 18". The Chaos is rated at 800 watts. I've put an SAE-1000D on 1 and it takes the power very well. I like these subs, they have plenty of output and sound pretty good. The biggest advantage over the Havocs is the Chaos has a 10" version. AA recommends a .5 cuft ported boxes using a full 3" aeroport so these subs can fit anywhere. I crammed 2 10's underneath the backseats of a Nissan Titan crewcab.

This will be the official "Front Stage Inc" demo car...just waiting for my battery to come in. That HC2400 is too ginormous. I'm not sure if you can see this but the cover is kind of sitting on top of the amps. I'm waiting for some 1/8" lexan to put over the amps so I can use my trunk without messing up the amps.

Thanks...I do believe Jacob's first Sundown car was a BMW 3 series like mine. -
Update your sig Haha...glad you're enjoying your new Sundown amps! The1500d is a monster!

That's pretty impressive!

That will be insane. I put 2 Havoc 12s in a Dodge Charger powered by an SAZ-3000D. I thought the car was going to fall apart. Can't wait to see that install! Haha...I don't think too many people in this section care about a front stage.

I can see the pics.

I forgot. I had remembered as he was driving off. I ran down the street a little yelling but he couldn't hear me. The customer is coming back next week so I can snap some photo's.

The panel reduces the bass a little but nothing major. -

Thanks for the compliments! I don't keep the lexan on top of the amps...I just keep it handy. Plus, those amps don't get hot at all, maybe warm. I'm thoroughly impressed. My US Amps would get burning hot although they never shut down. Time to start tuning. -
This ended up in a sealed box...still sounded great!

IIRC, fuses are rated to blow at 150%-200% of their rated amperage.

Just got the new price list...retail is $650-$720. The Mayhems come in 12, 15, and 18" sizes. Power handling is 2000 watts. That is all of the info that I have. I hope to order some in the next couple of weeks (or days)...I'll post some pics.

I've had both...the Havoc is clearly a better sub. But is the Havoc worth the extra $$$? Not sure. The havoc has a little more output and feels a little deeper. Doesn't sound deeper...just feels different.

IIRC - 42hz was the loudest tone. I'm not sure if that was the true peak or if the system voltage starting dropping above that. I started at 35 hz for about 10 seconds in 1 hz intervals. So I was running it pretty hard for a minute or two. The car had a stock electrical system.

Just finished installing a Chaos 12 in 02 Ford Mustang coupe. Running off a SAE-1000d in a ported box. I forgot the exact specs of the box but its around 1.8 cu ft tuned to 34hz. Metered at 137.0 on a TL in the kickpanel. Sounds pretty damned good too!
