Looks great. I know how my one 12 sounds and I can not imagine sitting in that truck. Nice work!

ok, with you saying 12.5v is a bit low for resting voltage. I got an XS power D5100r in last week and I read the voltage when it got here and it was at 12.5. I put it on charger over night and it was charging up to 14.5v. When I would take it off the charger, it would drop back down to 12.5. I am using a CTEK Multi US 3300 that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Do I have a bad battery?

Ok, I got a package from Don the other day and started deadening my doors today. I started with the passenger side first. I applied the CLD on inner doorskin outer door skin, cut the ccf and mlv and glued them together. I made small square cut outs for the clips and only a few of them will engage and clip to the door. I'm so damn frustrated with wrestling with this thing, any ideas? Maybe cut the squares around the clips larger?

Thanks Don and everyone else. I took a nice break from it and think I have figured out where the rub is. A few months back I replaced my 3" factory mids with some 3" JL coaxials for temporary use. The JLs mount differently and because of that, there was a little bit of added depth, thus making the door trim harder to get on. I will be taking the JLs out because my new front stage is bought so this will be a non issue soon. I just hope I didnt make the peg cut outs too big after having these issues. Thanks

Thanks guys, it's an 08 Infiniti G35 sedan. I'm going to take another stab at it today. I'm thinking it might be too thick in some places. I will report back.

Does your interwebs not work until a certain time?

Just D1 from what I saw

oh thats some bullshit, I saw it for like 125, put it in my cart and it changed prices

I agree and thought the same thing when I received my sub back in August. But since then, it appears that they are taking steps to improve the packaging. The OP's was a lot more protected than mine was. There is progress.

BTW nice looking sub

UPS at it again. My Xcon looked worse when it arrived. The driver was flipping it over and over from the back of the truck, to the driver's compartment. I heard the whole thing from my door. THUMP.....THUMP.......THUMP....THUMP

Do you guys have any of that Shok wire? Or are you waiting on it too? I need some 0 ofc to run batts.
-
Ok, what's with the reverse polarity deal here? What is the benefit? I'm guessing I would have to wire the 5100r different from the 5100 when running it as a second battery? So the black is actually the +, and the red is actually - ? Is the point in this so you can wire it in series?
-
Thanks guys. All I need is a second battery, then the build is on. I'll start a build log when I do it.

Well, it is here and I'd say it was WELL worth the wait. Had a tiny scare just looking at the box because it had a slight lean to it. But it was in the very best condition that I have ever seen a UPS box delivered. I can honestly say that I have never been more impressed by the craftsmanship of a single sub than I am with this one. This thing is a monster at 60lbs and is only a 12. I have an amp to put on it but by judging by the stiffness of it, lol, I dont know how it's going to be able to move this thing. Here are the pics, sorry if they are too big. The only flaw(I'm OCD BTW), but nothing major. Tiny chips on the magnet

Im pretty sure since its in the pictures wired up plus its in his signature as well. Well, I didnt see an enclosure in his pictures so I figured he was just testing it out. I also didnt care or think to look in his sig.
-
Will you be running that BC2000 on it? I just traded my amp for a BC2000 to run on my DP12.
-
Yeah I know. Until now, all I have ever seen were stock pictures on the website. Now people can actually appreciate what it looks like.

08 infinity g35. I was thinking of simplifying things and going ported. I have a db drive pt2000.1d which ha supposedly been clamped at 2300 at 1 ohm. But, the amp is jut a little too big for my trunk and I want to go with something with a smaller footprint. I have it for sale or trade on ca.com but will keep it I I need to. I had an aq2200 that I sold off when I got this and I miss that amp already. Oh yeah, the sub is a D2

Thanks! pictures really don't do this thing justice and I can't wait to get this in my car. I honestly don't know if I want to invert it or not cause both sides are sexy as hell. I still have some things to do to get the car ready, but I will eventually have a build thread. My goals are somewhat a low frequency response and I prefer for it to be clean as possible. I'm just not sure which type of enclosure I'm going to go with. Regular ported, a tapered t-line, or a real t-line. I've been kind of indecisive on this for damn near a month. Anyways, thanks for both compliments!

lol, what a disaster. I wonder how many of them were returned later on due to them bricking out. Thanks man

No worries, we knew that due to the strong response to the sale there was a chance things would take a little longer, but at 30% off, I think the few extra days is worth it. Shipping company depends on the product really. As our build house uses UPS, Sundown/SoundSplinter uses FedEx and it varies down the line. But due to stories like yours, we have had to jump our production costs to start doing the internal crating on the Xcon's like the Zcon's. I am really hoping that the weight increase on the Icon's is not going to cause us to have to do it for them too. It is a seemingly non-stop barrage at shrinking our already super slim margins. I fully understand that and it really sucks for you guys having to change your packaging. But if people took pride in their work(UPS), then there would never be a problem. I've worked in the freight industry for 17 years, and I have personally seen the crap these clowns do. They are mainly a bunch of kids on the dock and they have zero respect for anything. They literally play basketball with boxes, drive their forklift up on top of shit, through shit, and just really don't give a F. If not that, then they are LAZY. They wont get that ass off their forklift to get a pallet, and put the freight on said pallet. Instead, they drive their forks into or under a package to move it down the dock( either way, it doesnt matter to them). I can only imagine the loops you guys have to jump through to get a claim paid off. I know all about that here recently. Thanks again Aaron, and I appreciate you guys' hard work.
