  1. I went out to my car today to run the big 3 and realized that the hot wire that runs from my alt to the battery is a plug not a regular wire like most cars... How do I run that now? The car is a 94 dodge stealth r/t

    question about big 3...

I'm pretty sure its a ground, the wire is black and it doesn't run up through the plastic to the battery... I'll get the meter out tomorrow and see if its a ground or hot..

    question about big 3...

I'll get some pix in a sec but there is a ground that comes off the alt and that has a nut holding it on and then there is the plug where the hot goes into

    new setup for new car!!!

I just bought a dodge stealth and I'm having a box built to take up where the spare tire is and I'm gonna be running a Orion hcca 15.2... My problem is amp choice... I've been looking at the hifonics bxi2006d but I'm not sure it that would be enough power for that sub... I'm tryin to stay under 300 for an amp because I still need to by a HO alt and all my wiring... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

    new setup for new car!!!

Yea your correct I'm more focused on having a loud dd, and as far as the box specs all he told me is its gonna be 7.2cf and he's gonna resin the inside of the box and all that good stuff.... But I didn't want to buy another alt to put on and then turn around and buy an HO after that so I figured just buy an HO and put on and not buy the stock 90amp... I just want something that's gonna be louder than what anyone has in my town...

    new setup for new car!!!

Well I'd like to have 1500-2000rms to the sub.... its gonna be my dd but id also like to be able to hop into a local audio comp when they have them... I'm pretty confident that its gonna be pretty loud already with just the enclosure and type of car its in... And I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need the HO alt because my voltage already drops when I turn my blinker on lol

    new setup for new car!!!

It all depends on what a HO alternator is gonna cost... I believe the year and model of my car only has a 90amp alt so I'm gonna have to do the big 3 and alt... You guys know of a place that sells the HO alts for cheap lol...
