If you are concerned about the weight/size you might want to stick with sealed. You could strap the clubs to the roof . (I now carry bungie coords with me everywhere). I'll tell you my thoughts on getting H/D or Lowes to cut your MDF- DONT. It makes it soo easy to load up, but they're always around 5* or more off, even though the saw is locked in correct. I have them cut atleast 1" bigger than I need so I can straighten things up, but whenever I let them cut for me I always find I'm a little crooked.

I really like the plain logo. Danger... not so much.

I've come to find that despite what many say the t/s parameters don't often mean what it's easy to conclude they would. I definitely think the BTL drops low, that's where it really shines to me is those teeth-rattling lows. For some reason when a shop owner tells me they compete but they don't know of RE, cactus sounds, ed, or pretty much anything but the major brands like kicker,jl,alpine, pioneer, etc, it hurts their credibility to me. They may compete, but I wonder how seriously when they only know of products their shop carries. I had a shop owner tell me I would've been better off with 2 memphis mojos, that I probably wasted my money. Then he sat in the car, and had nothing to say. I've had soooo many people tell me to shell out the green for JL, but I can't for the life of me see why. Everything I've heard from them has been good and looked good, but not special in any way to justify the price. I was cosidering one of the w7s, but you can buy 2 btls for the cost of the 13w7 and be much louder... it wouldn't make sense. I met a guy w/ 2 12w7s in his extended cab, and when he heard the one btl I had in at the time he was in awe. The major brands have some good products in different areas, but they charge more than they should because they can ride on the name. (Down w/ marketing hype!) As far as your honda, some of the people I've talked to w/ your car found good results w/ the sub & port facing back, or the sub facing up and ports back/or to the sides. If you have time before installing try to really coat the lid of the trunk w/ sound deadener. I like to cover all the surfaces, then fill in the corners/gaps of the trunk lid w/ expanding foam. It really keeps it from making so much noise- which you most likely will. Good luck!

That shows how well versed I am in some of these newer cars Could you tell me what this means (in bold)? I'm not familiar w/ the word. Thanks If that's the case though I'd think it'd be pretty easy, especailly compared to a trunk. I was pulling low/mid 140s from a 15" L7 on 1300w in my yukon. With less cabin space and a better sub, I can't see why not. Again though, just a matter of getting the design right.

The way the checkout is set up it sends you an email saying your conformation # and when it's going to ship, but with the payment pending. Since the site doesn't know exactly when they'll be finished building it and can put it in the mail they go in and change the date of delivery to match when it is really shipped out. Often it takes around 3 days for paypal payments to clear too. Anyway, that's how it was explained to me anyway. I know that wait feels like forever, but to me it's better than Christmas to see that UPS guy stuggle through the yard w/ a big package, muttering to himself how it's heavy.

I really liked that movie...

I learned something today- but unfortunatelly I can't justify $300+ just to get the grounds right.. I haven't found any coffee I like around here. There's a chain called 'port city'- god if that isn't the most ass coffee in the history of it, I don't know what is. Haven't found any local shops, just big ones w/ bad coffe and people sucking it up.

I think it's really in the training, but there are some dogs that are more agressive-as are people. I think many smaller breeds are more prone to bite or have mean tendancies, but they aren't as largely reported since there isn't as much damage to the person if an ankle-biter nips you. I have a border collie/lab mix that's very well trained, and theyr'e known to be good family dogs. She's as sweet as can be, but I trained her to bark at and chase strangers-as when I first moved here I was living w/ my parents and the house was broken into 3 times, and the sheds were broken into 4. Between everything that was stolen we lost well over $30,000 worth of antiques, electronics, and tools. My parents have some rental property I do the work on for them, and I have a maintenance business, so they not only took some of my parents stuff, they stole my tools and therefor my means of making $, which is so low I would kill them myself and call it justice if I caught them.</rant> I think that dogs just do what they are trained to, or aren't trainted not to. watch supernanny- the kids do what they want because the parents don't do what they need to, and the owner/pet relationship is the same. My thoughts on that.

As long as you're sure of the member ordering that's not a bad price at all.

Yeah, that really caught my eye as well. I think you achieved your goal, to me it looks nice because of its simplicity. It's nice that you have that cover for when you want to show off the stuff, but it just looks so nice to have it all hidden and clean. I'd like to do something like that, but I know it's not going to happen.

Yes I bought my btls w/ only 2k each (probably a little less) but now that a few months have passed I have the $ to get the 4k I wanted to give them. Overhead is nice, and sometimes overkill = just right * Just remembered, I originally bought the 1st 2kw amp for an alpine type-x (1krms sub) so I'd have some extra.
-
IMO you've got a good shot, but it's going to come down to the install. If don't hit it w/ the 30hz tune try switching out to a higher tune. *I just realized that the tc was a car, not the box-like one. With a trunk it's always harder, I'd make sure to put some sound deadener in there if you haven't. If you don't get it the first time just play w/ different box designs.

"cooling?" x2 I would've said the btls, but with full cooling. I would say the btls just for the longevity of not really stressing them, and possibility to put more power on later (maybe 2 sets of strapped 2ks?) Sounds like you're going to have a really nice system.

Yeah, didn't think it was something to put on the board, rather deal with you guys in person. Nothing major, sub still works beautifully, the terminal just came off the screw and was shorting out. Thanks for the help and quick response- again, customer service is A+++++.

Sent an email w/ the details. Thanks. Troy

Hey nick, sent another email

I don't think it'd be a good idea to wire it like that. Nothing sucks more than driving somewhere and meeting some people who want to hear your system, just to crank it up and have it go into protect. ("no, my system is great-just not the right voice coils for my amp.." never goes over good.) It may not damage the amp, but I wouldn't buy an amp that would cut out on me, and it simply doesn't look good when showing others (goes to the saying actions speak louder than words). What about 2 sundown 1500's, I'd contact denim for a price- and they're supposed to be good at 1/2ohm. 4 hifonics bxi1206ds would be good-they're around 200each nib I had 2 hifonics bxi2006ds that worked very nice- I think you can find them off ebay nib shipped around 330each. The soundstream 6500 can be had at a decent price I got a SS 10000 that was messed up and trying to get my $ back for (one of those might do it for you), and in the meantime hooked up a memphis 4k, your local dealer could get you a new one w/ warranty for around 1200. Really like the way the memphis sounds, puts out some serious power w/out taking up a lot of space.

Like nick said, you just have to try different designs. Why don't you take some pics and post them-maybe someone else w/ your vehicle could tell you their experience, but the best way is to try more designs. There can be hundreds of boxes made 'just for' a particular vehicle, all somewhat different yeilding different results. Just play w/ it.

I tried to post them for you from their yahoo addresses, but for some reason it won't let me. Just upload those pics to photobucket and then you can copy&paste the forum code.

"Will the whole world come to an end..." reminds me of chicken little- the sky is falling, the sky is falling

x2-the 15 Q seems like your best bet. If she wants to power it w/1500 all the time try a BL with the flatwind coil, if you want it to sound real nice try the copper coil. As long as you tune fairly low you should be fine.

It's a little hard to tell what the interior looks like from the pics, it doesn't appear to be finished-is it? The trunk looks very nice, like the amp flush mount. Looks like it should turn out nice. Some nice equip listed

Lookin good, throw up some more pics when you're done. I wish I could get some spare baskets somewhere, but alass, thats what I get for being in the country.
