I was pretty sure I sent you a PM? If you didn't get it my mistake, I'll send another. You shouldn't have to wait 4 months on the Expedition, maybe a month or two at best. Are you located in SC? I've seen some Nemesis guys at the Sumter shows and I could even bring it to you and install it at a show if you'd like. I'll take this to PM, but I definitely will have a bracket soon. Kryptonitewhite, I thought you were selling your van? I still don't have a donor vehicle to make a bracket for you, but believe me as popular an SPL vehicle as you have it is on the list when I can get one made. Troy

Thanks again! Side firing sounds pretty good. I have to get the current amp and rack out to have enough room to rear fire, but I didn't expect it to sound this good as it is. I'm going to see which way sounds best, but as is really does some damage. Sorry I meant to send you a link to the thread or email a few pics but I've been super super busy. I'm excited to buy a new amp but at the same time sad to get rid of this one as I like it a lot- and the work to remove all that wiring is depressing! Different setups peak differently and all that jazz, and you can't compare the cone area difference between my last setup and this single sub, but this sub sounds moves parts of the car 2 21s did not. It just has so much authority on low notes my steering wheel moves, and my front wiper jump around a lot more. This sub has the tonality I was missing with the Wardens. I gave it a good listening to and I keep getting happier. I don't have enough play time to say it's breaking in, but this sub DOES NOT need 5kw to get loud. If the TSNS was a little more affordable I can definitely see it being an excellent match for a 2000 watt amp. It just keeps getting louder as I throw more power at it, but with not wanting to wire above 4 ohms it's asking like little Oliver, "Please, sir, can I have some more?" I have a long time to give a more in depth review of this sub, but since there isn't much info out on it I will write up some now. This sub looks fantastic, I wasn't sure if I would like the CF cone, but it looks absolutely killer. I want to inverse mount it so the basket and motor don't get missed, but the CF is also too sexy to hide. My hand is sore from holding it up at an angle with 2 fingers while I seated it in the recessed hole in the box, so it has enough weight it isn't a good idea for people concerned with stuff like that. There's the common misconception that if a sub is rated 1000 watts you must give it that, and with it's 5kw rating I'm going to say that isn't true for this sub at all. It looks like it will have no trouble taking gobs of power, but it plays with little power exceptionally well. As far as sound it has a deeper tone to it that I would expect from an SQ driver. For rap and C&S music I would strongly recommend it, but for metal with a lot of kick drums I really feel the need for a better front stage to keep up with the really fast kicks. I keep saying I'll post more later but I'll post more after some more listening.

Thanks everyone! Dictator head on over! I'll be mailing this amp out come Monday though so after that it'll be around a month before I get the new amp installed The 1 sub moves a ton of air, way more so than I expected. It normally takes 150db+ do move my sunroof open, and after a short period of time my sunroof was open. Not saying it's doing over 150, just that it's flexing the bejeezus out of things for what it is! It seems to have a deeper sound than I'm used to if that makes sense. I'll post a review tomorrow after a bit more listening.

The original BTL was meant to be the SPL driver, but a LOT of people have been using them almost entirely for music. It makes perfect sense to make the newest BTL sound better for daily use, while still handling the thousands of watts people want to use. For those still wanting the original goal of SPL the N3 is now an option. If you "dont have a system to be LOUD" why don't you look for a sub other than the BTL, the SSD or Q would still be amply loud and sound good doing it.

His Build Log I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's around 50Hz tune, and those scores were around 55-58Hz from the tl screen shots.

what does it take to get 150dB @ 25Hz?
tejcurrent replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in General Audio
From someone mentioning IB I was thinking they might be- but with 16kw I wasn't sure. BTLs would make a lot more sense in a vehicle when shooting for good all around output. I couldn't agree more on using a ported box or wall. -

The links in your sig to your build aren't working, but I would do a wall in your astro, or 4th order. Again I can't really see your equipment list in your build, but 4 18s and 16kw should be all you need. Why not try a normal ported wall instead of IB? This thread got long quick, so I haven't read all the posts, but what Fi subs are you using on 16kw? 4 BTL 18s with about 24ft net tuned to 30Hz should really do well for you from my experience- but install and enclosure will seal the deal. You admit your last setup didn't do what you want, before you drop a few thousand on new vehicle and setup why not buy a box design from someone and spend a few hundred in wood? Best luck either way. -
Multiple alternators can exist on the same circuit, it just depends on the vehicle. Many newer vehicles have the alternators voltage regulated (or in part) by the vehicle's computer. Often when adding multiple alternators to newer vehicles you must use the additional alternator on a separate circuit. Most older vehicles like yours do not have these issues and it's a simple add on where both alts can be connected. Chances are for your power needs you're best bet is to get 1 high output alternator and a few good batteries in back.

My tour in 07 was really amazing, also seeing how down to earth the guys were, and how modest the process was. I'm sure it's grown since then but still. Just the bit I talked to Scott it was obvious how knowledgeable he was, it made me realize how little I know. It changed my perspective on things a bit I guess.

Been trying to track you down- feel free to email when you get a chance but I should have something for you very soon. Troy

157.x sealed, 160.x in the kick with 1 h/o alt. After installing the bracket he had a sub go out and reconed it but was having a few issues with the recone. I think with just a little work he's going to be doing 160 sealed. He gained quite a bit going from ~11v to 14.5+ volts from what he was saying.

As soon as I can get an explorer to work on I'll check on what I can do and pm you I don't see many Tundra's, so it may be a while till I get my hands on one. I'll PM you when I get started on one, but it may be several months. Yes, I should have one for you in a few months.

By any chance do you think these will fit a 307? I'm not sure, could you email me a few good pics of your engine layout- with a few clear pics of the way the belt is run? I have at least a dozen brackets I'm trying to get in stock right now, once I get most of those off my plate I'll do a bit more testing.
-
Does that fall under the may fit 01' Astro 4.3 V6 but not advertised until you see one bolt on? I am 99% sure it will not fit due to how different the layout is. I am DEFINITELY working on something for you though! It may only be a dual bracket in a few months, it may be sooner, it may be more alts than that, but it will be designed specifically for your vehicle.

Just an update since I've had quite a few emails on what's new lately. Some of the brackets I'm going to list MAY fit other engine sizes in the same model vehicle (ie 4.6v8 in expedition vs 5.4) but I haven't tested it yet so I'm not advertising as such until I've seen one bolt on. These kits will come with all the necessary hardware to install. Times listed are when I expect to have a run of brackets ready to ship. -Here is the deal- Anyone one willing to pre-order before availability will get a discount for writing a review. You must write a short review with at least 2 pictures of your final install, and post in this and one other forum. Simple enough, the discount is $50 off the price they will be available for in a few weeks. That's 20% off many brackets. 02-06 (maybe newer models, I need to check) Trailblazer/Inline V6 - Dual bracket - 4 weeks. 02-06 (maybe newer models, I need to check) Trailblazer/Inline V6 - Triple bracket - 8 weeks. 03-06 Malibu 3.8 V6 (03/07 fit not checked on 'classic' and new body style) GM SUV style AD244 large case conversion - 3 weeks 03-07 Malibu 3.8 V6 (03/07 fit not checked on 'classic' and new body style) Dual bracket - 4 weeks 03-07 Malibu 3.8 V6 (03/07 fit not checked on 'classic' and new body style) Triple Bracket - 8-12 weeks 05-09 Impala 3.8 V6 GM SUV style AD244 large case conversion - 3 weeks 05-09 Impala 3.8 V6 Dual Bracket - 4 weeks 96-03 Blazer 4.3 V6 -Dual bracket - 4 weeks 96-00 1500, Tahoe etc 350 - Dual Bracket - 4 weeks 96-00 1500, Tahoe etc 350 - Triple Bracket - 4 weeks 98-00 1500, Tahoe etc 350 - Quad Bracket - 6-8 weeks 92-95 1500, etc 350 - Dual Bracket - 6-8 weeks 92-95 1500, etc 350 - Triple Bracket 6-8 weeks 92-95 1500, etc 350 - Quad Bracket 6-8 weeks Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi - Dual Bracket - 4 weeks Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi - Triple Bracket - 6 weeks Late 90's Early 00's F150/ Expedition 4.6 V8 Dual Bracket - 4-6 weeks Late 90's Early 00's F150/ Expedition 4.6 V8 Triple Bracket 4-6 weeks Late 90's Early 00's F150/ Expedition 4.6 V8 Quad Bracket - Under development, may be a few months. 5.4 F150's dual/triple bracket will be as soon as I get my hands on one. 5.9 late 90s early 00's Durango - 8-12 weeks 1986-97 Nissan D21 "Hardbody" Dual Bracket - 8-10 weeks Late 80's 350s- 12-16 weeks I should have dual, triple, quad, maybe 5-8 alternators since there's just a ton of empty space. Demand will really determine how many will go on there. I'm sure I'm leaving a few off as I'm really just taking a few minutes to post this and have to get back under the hood of another truck. Keep the requests coming - I am listening and working on things. I plan on one for the Astro/Safari as soon as I can get my hands on one again. (Kryptonite and several others please don't think I'm not working on it.) The bracket for the blazer will not fit your 4.3. BanginGMC I haven't forgotten your request I just haven't found a vehicle to use for the bracket for your truck. I'm also working on some really cool custom machine stuff that will allow the use of even more alternators on some vehicles with the room - namely suvs needing 6+ alternators.

You should have an email shortly. Troy

I currently do not have an alternator available, as I am focusing most of my efforts on multiple alternator brackets. I may have something within a year, but I want to do extensive on-vehicle testing before releasing anything. I will have a dual/triple/maybe a quad bracket available for the 5.9, though I'm not sure on fit for the 5.3. I'm checking out the vehicle tomorrow, and if all goes well it will be 2 months or less on the bracket for the first production run. The additional alternators will doubtfully use a similar case, they will most likely be modified AD244 alternators. Troy

I posted some pics of your last build on the site: Installs

Looking great, as said before how do you compare the neo to the Gen 2? Yeah the snow last week delayed things a few days, but as soon as my late order of parts comes in your kit will be on it's way.

I emailed you earlier today, but yes there is a 170, 220, and 240 for your vehicle. Pics and prices aren't on the site but will be soon- I'm expecting a lot of new inventory within a month and I'm holding off on updating until then. Feel free to email me any time. Troy

What did you put on the front of the wall? That's really shiny, if that's paint you put a lot of effort in that! Looks great, if you don't mind I'm going to take a few of these pics for the site.

4 ZCON 18"s, fresh out of the box

Very very nice looking. x2 what is power looking like? -

From my experience dual 250a alts will keep your voltage between 13.5- 14 volts with that amount of power + any of the vehicles systems like a/c, lights ect. If you are comfortable with some voltage drop in the 12v area just one h/o alternator and a couple good batteries will be fine. I would recommend adding a 3rd battery, and upgrading your alternator. Since you said you're looking for daily use I'd search for something with good idling output. Also 2 runs of 1/0 power and a run or 2 of ground would be the minimum wiring I would use from front to back. -
From the vid- "Brand new ZCON for your ass" made me lol. Looks like a great sub, can't wait to see more.
