    187 replacement

He said to me that I must wait at least one month untill the new line comes out. But the reality is that the IA website is not actualized. They need to do something with that.

    187 replacement

Someone here en PR that is an "authorized dealer" told me that.
  3. I was wondering if I could use metal L brackets in the inside or outside the sub box the reduce the vibration or flex? I saw the wood ones, but those take space inside the box and my box is quite small and I don't wanted any more smaller.
  4. 2.8cuft ported. Quite small

    Don't know which 15" sub

Better: more reliable, good performance ""SQL"" type of thing. But forget it. I'm going with IA. I found the box recomenndations here and they also go from 2.5 cuft to like 3.0cuft. So it works for me. Thanks!!

    Don't know which 15" sub

RE Audio recommends a ported box from 2.5 cuft to 3.0cuft. My box is 2.89cuft, so I'm good in that regard. But I dunno what IA said about that because the web site do not tell anything about the 15" 187.

    12" Dcon

Ok, small wood blocks...but: how many of them?? Thats the problem

    12" Dcon

Like I said, I change my plans and I want to know if a 2.5cuft ported box tuned to 35hz is a good box for a single 12' dcon. Too big, or ok box? Tuned too high? I'm going to send it 400wrms.

    12" Dcon

Yes, my amp have a sub sonic filter. on off set at 35hz
  11. Hi guys, I'm from Puerto Rico so my english is not that good, but I want to try to communicate with all of you. I know this questions is ask sooo many times. But I want to know your opinion on this. My car is a 1994 Corolla, the amp is a Soundtream Rubicon 400.1 mono, and the sub would be in a .75 birch ported box, about 2.89cuft including port area and tune to about 38hz and I listen to a lot of hip-hop, electronica, and rock(not at high volumes). The 15" subs I been looking are: Mmats P2.0, IA 187, Treo Tsx and Mtx TR75. All of them dvc 4ohms. I want the best ""SQL"" possible because I know that with just 400rms I'm not going to reach high SPL. I want decent sound, but as loud as possible. Thanks!
  12. I have power limitations, just 400wrms via Soundtream Rubicon 400.1 CEA compliant. I friend of mine told me that with that power, is safer to tune the box 35hz. Thats the lowest he could go with the 187 due to the 2" vc. So I want to know how big the box could be for 1 12" 187 ported and the tuning.

    Ported box for a 12" 187

So a smaller box allow the sub to "soak up a little bit more power"...I do not know that!! Thanks!
  14. Ok, so I have power limitations. So could I be able to get good sound from any subs in this site with that power or I just wasting my time and money? I'm better buying Kicker, MTX, Cerwin Vega or something like that?
  15. Cygnus

    Any subs here for me?

Yes. The only think I want to know is that 400 wrms from the Rubicon, would be enough power for the entry level subs like( and is a damn example IA 187)? I want to know is they need more that that to sound decent. And I want to go ported.
  16. Cygnus

    Ported box for a 12" 187

lol man take it easy, relax. I mentioned that sub like and example. Ok, chill
  17. Cygnus

    Any subs here for me?

Hi guys. My car is a94 Corolla so I think I could not go more that 2.5 cuft ported. My amp is a Soundstream Rubicon 400 wrms at 2 ohms. My budget, well, I want to sell my existing 15" sub box for paying my new box. So the olny thing I need to "search" money for is the sub. I'm not going to pay more than $250 for 1 12".
  18. Cygnus

    Ported box for a 12" 187

He said that my amp could not be able to sustained those lows notes for daily driving. The highest tunnig for that sub is 33hz, IA wesite, so I want to go with that tunnig, but he want 35hz. By the way, he is going to make the box because I have 0 skills inthat area lol
  19. Cygnus

    Ported box for a 12" 187

oK, thats what I said to him. But he still saying that the recommendations are for more that 400 wrms.
  20. Cygnus

    Shipping to Puerto Rico??

Do you ship to PR? My zip code is 00959-5153.

    Subwoofer comparison

What about a DD 500? I know the price here for a SSA Dcon is like $125. But did they ship to PR?? If yes, how much $$?
  22. Cygnus

    Subwoofer comparison

Yes, is a 400wrms cea. What about a Kicker L3? Or maybe a SSA Dcon?
  23. Cygnus

    Subwoofer comparison

Ok ok ok. So, which 12" you guys recommend for me? You know my amp and car and I'm not planning on change them.
  24. Cygnus

    Subwoofer comparison

But, OK means that it could sound pretty decent. A larger enclosure will sound much better, I know that. But do you think that a good 12" would sound lauder and overall better, than those subs that I mentioned in that particular box?
