1.) so wire everything up, amp batterys ect, then before i start the car up i install all my fuses. 2.)and is there anyway to aviod arcing? i mean it happens all the time when i remove the ground of my battery to remove my headunit or anything that will have to remove it i always see a spark... any soultion and im assuming that what arcing is right? that spark when i touch the wire and complete the circuit -
Does my box look right?
knockinthastreetzof608 replied to knockinthastreetzof608's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
well i apologize for making it so complex i never thoughed about that, i was using a program my father friend had on his computer when i was designing the box 1st time so its probley, does have faults and the issue was space in my trunk its goin to be ina mustang its horrible to make it fit, but box is done already and it was to big in height so I AM A have to sawzall the trunk alil bit to make it fit, so i dont ill be able to get another 1cuft or 1.5 in it, while still having room for 2d3100 and an aq3500d1 sundown100.4, and the reason for the question on the box is because i forgot who else i showed this too and they told me Your peak port velocity should be 38 m/s at 33Hz. This is still a little high for my subs, so i just wanna see if it would be a big difference on output in different frequiences, again im new at this so if im getting wrong info let me know im just trying to gain as much information as i can i realized there alot of science and math on the world of car audio and im willing to learn everything to obtain my goal thanks and sorry the long back story -
((2 * 250.3125 * 10) - (0.159230769 * 2 * (12^3)) - (30.830229 * 2)) / (12^3) = 2.54299074 cu ft. That’s with port, sub, 45s and skeletal displacement taken into consideration. That makes the box tuned to around 34.02Hz if the math is correct..... let me know guys, what you think it is for 2 dc audio xl 10"s powered by an aq3500d1 in a 1ohm load, think my tunining is to high? still able to hit the lows you think? i wanted to be able to play normal music as well since its my daily driver 1st real build so im just taking everything into condsideration since this box is built already just waitin on my other d3100 to come monday

no the 12volt postive will go to what ever you want to read your voltage at, black ofcourse your ground, and the blue on it is the remote turn on just like any other 12volt product like you would stick your remote wire to your postive on your amp, just wont work that way, and i do have power to it i put my power to the postive sie of my battery and the black to the negative side of my battery thanks for trying to help though -

the blue remote? if so since there only 3 wires to it then no it was not.. but i dont see why that could be a problem since it only tell it when to turn on or off, like if i set it up without the remote wire wont it just never turn off? -
im just about to order my xs power batts. and when i was finishing up my checkout there an 24 standard shipping which i understand, but there an 50 extra fee for more shipping from ssa

ssa store shipping as well?
knockinthastreetzof608 replied to knockinthastreetzof608's topic in SSA® Store
THANK YOU GUYS! i was just kinda of confused on how everything was orgainzed on the checkout, also one question are you guys goin to do sell the new sundown pro audio mids? thinking about buying a couple -
i would honestly go with welding cable its cheaper on the price, and as for how many runs i just ordered 2 group 31 batts. from xspower and im doin two runs 2+ 2- and i think that will be fine, and as for distance it all depends on vechical, for your truck i wanna guess around 16ft from front to the back, could be wrong though you can always measure and add alil more, better to have extra then have less and then be stuck without

knockinthastreetzof608 replied to knockinthastreetzof608's topic in SSA® Store
i only ordered 2 battieres, so is there an error? my total came $661.96 ig the issue i dont fully understand on is why i got charged with shipping twice, once from xspower for the standard 24.99 flat rate shipping(which i understand) and then another one entitled ssa shipping for another $50.00??? -
