Is 18 guage wire enough for highs and mids?
emperorjj1 replied to bmr4life's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
lol ya but it looked quite a bit different. Assuming ur looking at a sine wave tone its exactly the same over and over. well the music was less then half the size and very rugged (meaning instead of a noticable sine wave it was a bunch of random blah.... u could sorta tell paterns with the beat but very different then tones) -
lol all yall are crack heads... gotta get my new subs itching aaaa cant wait

maybe its just my srpings (very stiff) but i didnt notice a difference putting 2 15s, 2 kintetiks and the heavy dual baffled box im with m5 here... i can see your point and all but whats going to happen when u spend $$$ on the new setup and it does the exact same thing as before? if your springs are sagging then they will continue to do so now if you sorta want to swap anyway but weight savings would be an added bonus then go for it but i dont see that as a good basis to swap equipment your happy with

What's the name of the company/guy who made those transmission box
emperorjj1 replied to oldschool4life's topic in General Audio
well from what I've learned from Pete he has came up with his own spread sheets by trial and error...what he knows is way over my head...He's shown some pictures of a few and I have no idea what they mean lol. Well I see it like this...50 bucks isn't much really for a nice design. I mean if you want a particular response and bandwith...paying 50 bucks and building it once and hearing what you wanted is better than building multiple enclosures just to get the response and output you want. correct. Im not in anyway involved but 2 guys at the shop are always trying t line stuff and i think 1 of 4or 5 designs they did ever worked. So assuming a sheet of wood per box (also a few got carpeted and one even bedlined) it adds up a bit more then buying a design.... it really depends on the person thou because even a poorly built box isnt worth completely nothing. Knowledge doesnt come off a tree -

cool... thanks that would be awesome. cant wait to see the hertz audison stuff in action. im stoked about working at their newest dealer. I sorta have a feeling if i can bust my ass and get my car done i would be the demo car for hertz and second skin. (assuming i go all the way with hertz midranges not just the midbasses)

NEW LAW!!!! (important read) everyone please
emperorjj1 replied to scizzle's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
FYI for whoever posted it there was a city that was trying to get a law against sagging pants below a certain point. Never herd much more of it thou. Im unsubcribing from this thread (hopefully i can) because this is nonsense. IMO the 2 extremes are both retarted and something in the middle would be the most acceptable -

emperorjj1 replied to scizzle's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
from my experiance all that means is you need to invest in second skin. I Still have more i need to do but i love people not being able to hear me much more then they do -
maybe im asking the wrong question then. The whole reason i choose said midranges is because those are the ones ive been able to hear and i liked what i herd. Also the reason why im going 3 way is because i prefer crossing the midranges sorta high and i end up missing quite a bit frequency wise. Unfortunately ive had limited exposure to 3-4" speakers so im really unsure when it comes to them. So i can i assume if i were to get a hi energy 4 or ES-04 they would sound similar to the bigger drivers? What do you think neon i know you've had experiance with the hertz line. Any reviews? I also sorta stopped being as shy as i am currently with drivers and went ahead and ordered the HV-200 8" midbasses. I cant wait to test them and hopefully they are good drivers.

herd alot of good things about hybrid but never herd a single woofer. 9 bills is a big investment for something ive never herd.
