This thread is going national! http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3880087 http://www.parkingenforcementforum.com/vie...6abbe67a46f2403 ^ This is the link to an off site forum, with all the story and pics uploaded to it. Cliff notes: guy parks car, forgets to put pass in window guy comes out to see car with boots and warning sticker Guy has wheel dollies, jacks up car, wheels it into his garage And a lot of other ****. Read the second link for the lolz! Here's a few pics. Here's some text, with a message the audi owner had from someone involved with booting it. EDIT: I figured I'd add some text so I'm not leaving everyone hanging. So here's the deal, as much as I'd like, and easy as it would be to remove the boots with my professional angle grinder it is against the law. It's not that I respect the law or generally even care about it , (I respect laws of humanity, not dumping oil, animals, etc, and therefor), but breaking the law is just going to turn nightmare. Not that I wouldn't, it's cutting them off isn't worth ~$1,500 or whatever amount they toss. They also photograph your car (with plate) during the citation, so I'm more then just a piece of paper floating around in someones citation book. The boot company is left in the dark Image , they don't know wtf is going on, haven't told them squat. Remember, I don't need to drive the Audi, as a matter of fact I was supposed to be putting her on blocks the day it got booted for work and keeping it that way. The HOA doesn't know it's gone Image , however, someone I'm somewhat cool with before this went down I convinced to get on the board and is on there now saw the Audi on dollies and did call me about it. So.....is he going to rat me out? So I called the HOA Community manger, and keep in mind this is not actually the HOA booting cars but a contractor...errrrr......wait a minute........Hitler didn't do any of the killing himself......not responsible......some one else did it....she's off the hook....oh wait, no, and, ....duh..duh...duh...I have a private meeting not only with her but the whole HOA board Image , who for all I know, know nothing about the dollies. -Blake Edwards, it's come to our attention you've some how managed to place your Audi in the garage, why did you do that? Response: -I had to vacuum the carpet. Guy who's audi called the people up: So I called them, a long conversion, so I'll try to remember it in order : Ring..ring...ring -HEY! ARE YOU DOING! (Happy!) -Uh... (surprised)...I'm doing alright...pause.....pause....pause.... -Yeah! I'm doing alright too!!!! -What can we do for you? -Yeah, I'm down here @ the Villaigo @ Tempe, you guys want to come get your boots? -Yes, I can be there shorlty. -Alright, I won't be home till later. -Sure, there will some one else working, what kind of car? -An Audi -Oh.........pause.....pause.......where is your car? -It's here, you guys want to come get your boots? -Uh.......so the boots are in your trunk? -No -So they are on the set of wheels in the trunk? -No -So you stole them? -No -So they are not on your wheels? -Yes, they are on my wheels? -Where are your wheels? -On the car -Where is your car? -I moved it -YEAH! I saw the picture you sent me, it's in your garage! -Yeah, there's somethings floating around on the internet, however I didn't send that. So you want to come get your boots? -Well, I'm sure your going to need to drive your Audi. -No -So you moved your car? -Yes -Had did you move it? - Image Image Image I've been working out Image Image Image -(He busts up laughing!!!)))))))))))))))))))))Ah, come on man, how did you move it? -Well, I saw it booted, ran down and picked up some Creatine, been taking it for 3 days, that's stuff works great! -(Laughing again) So, how did you move it? -I have my ways -Come on man, how did you move it? -I have my ways -Oh, come on, how did you get it in your garage, I've checked out that Audi before(<---------), I know you couldn't of pushed it. -Don't worry, I havn't touched the locks. -That's good. -I'll be home around 7:30 P.M., you can give me call me then. It's 3:30 P.M., tune Kiddies! Just as an update the original thread has been locked at 61 pages due to a court gag order of the OP and there haven't been updates since

Just as an FYI since i work for a mtx dealer and have a rough idea of the product line up the Jackhammer line is a sub par line setup for only circuit city.

I'm looking for the best way to make the audio inside quieter on the outside. if that makes sense... I want to isolate the sound so with the windows up you cant hear the music playing inside as easily. Right now im trying to focus on the midrange as that seems to be the "worst". I currently have the midrange in the stock location with damp covering 95% of both door panels. Right now im building door pods but the midrange is still going to be IB so that should help somewhat but not as well as a sealed pod. Do you think adding second skin overkill to the outer door panel would help at all? any other ideas?
-
nah sry im running it active i just refer to it as biamped sometimes. so only 2 channels are going to the mids.... i think its more power then that because right now is by far the loudest i have ever been. while i havent really bumped the gain on any of my amps that high its at least twice as loud as the same setup on a 801x passive (100X4)
-
lol i laughed for like 5 minutes *speechless*
-
i used second skin damplifier pro. single layer per panel and im running a ppi pc4200 bi-amped to CDT ES-07 midranges. no idea how much power it puts out
-
i just did both metal panels with the vibration mat and ive done nothing on the interior plastic panel. I was hoping/ planning on doing some overkill somewhere but its going to be a PITA no matter which panel i try to do so i was wondering/thinking if doing the outer panel would give help reduce noise inside the car and help reduce the volume of the music outside as well. Im thinking putting it there would do the least to prevent noise coming inside but if it would help keep the noise down outside i might as well do it. My cars an 06 so i cant really justify buying new weather stripping even if i could find some thicker stuff (wouldnt know where to look either) Id really like the crazy double weatherstripping ive seen on a benz but thats never gonna happen.
