Anybody used Rainbow CS series ?

If $800 is your budget I would check out the Profi Line. CS 265 Profi CS 265 Profi Vanadium CS 265 Profi Vanadium Cross They're a step up from the Germaniums. Warm and detailed and the tweets aren't bright (harsh) at all. The cross comes with a silk tweet. But if you want to save some money, pick up the Germaniums. You won't be disappointed. Just a suggestion.

I haven't dealt with the CS but have with the Rainbow SLC's, Germaniums and the Profi lines. Is their a budget that you're willing to spend? The SLC's are about $250 for a set and get decently loud. But if their is no budget then you could step up to the Germaniums or Profi lines. Profi lines get loud and the mid bass is super punchy. But if their are shops close to where you live that sells rainbows I would def go and check it out. It all depends on personal preference and install also.

Never heard the IA comps. Are you just looking for the mid bass or a whole new comp set?

Need some new door mids and tweeters.

Like what everybody else said SELL and add more to the budget. From personal experience add another 150 and pick up the Rainbow SLC's or even the SLC Kicks their pretty good all around. Tweets are not to bright and mids pack a little punch. Just saying from personal use. Yyyeee

Aloha Argent Audio. Wanted to see if you've done any box builds for a Toyota tundra crewmax. I'll be removing the whole plastic wall behind the seats and relocating the jack to a different area of the truck. Don't want to lose a whole lot of leg room so I'm thinking of making the box the width of the backwall. If you've done any let me know because my measurements may be a little off but not by much. Vehicle Make and Model: 2007 Toyota tundra crewmax Direct of Box/Subs: forward Sealed or Ported: ported Number of Subs: 2 Brand and Model of Subs: sundown sa10 Max Dimensions: 48"L x 24"H x top depth 5"in x bottom depth 8"in (max) Port Color: black Flush Mount Ring Color (if flush mount is chosen): black Carpet Color: Black Zip Code for Shipping Quote: 96793 So I was thinking about 2.5cf tuned to 32-33hz would be the smallest recommended for the two. But if you've done a box build for a crewmax in the past what would be the biggest box I could put back there without losing much leg room? Thanks and sorry for all the questions. Need to start rolling on this project soon.

Hey Andrew I'm gonna scrap the idea of putting the box behind the seats. I just want a regular box. I'm looking to run a single 12 or 10 depending on what I can get out of the box in cubic size total. So here's what I came up with for measurements: Width: 18 - 19 in Depth: 17 in Height: 14 - 14.5 in Let me know the outcome on these measurements. Thanks

Oh that would be good!!! I'll re-measure also to see if I can get a little more. Thanks

does the ssa xcon really avialable on 10?

So any word on these? So many choices to choose from, haven't decided yet.

Ok so the port would be at the bottom of the box facing forward and the subs would be mounted towards the top of the box? I was thinking of having the port on the side of the box on the bottom with the subs mounted towards the bottom. I haven't bought the subs yet, just wanted to see if this could be done. If not then I'll probably just run a single 12 with a close to optimal Size box. Would a single 12 Icon be more realistic in terms of having a good box built to spec? Thanks
  12. Should try looking into Rainbows SLC's. There about $250 or u can step it up to the Germanium but there cost is about $500 if u can save up a little more. I would also recommend the Profi lines but they're really expensive. Heard all three and the SLC's are really good for the price. The Profi lines are unbelievable, mid bass are really punchy and the high's are not bright at all. Very well balanced. Just a suggestion.

    600w FCON Prototype

Right on!! I'll be waiting for these or if the icons will be released before these then I'll just spend a little more $$$.

    OPINIONS NEEDED!!!!

haha I know I'm one of those indecisive guys. I should be able to run the xcon if I were to take up the whole area behind the seat the box would net 2.3cft. Also isn't the mounting depth .5 deeper than the dcon?

    OPINIONS NEEDED!!!!

So I'm starting my next system build that'll be going in a Toyota tundra crewmax. So far that I have lined up is: Pioneer AVH4300 Rainbow Germanium 6.5 comps up front ARC KS125.2 or ARC KS300.2 for comps ARC KS1000.1 for subs I've been out of the seen for years now and I need some advice on selecting a pair of subs that will compliment the front stage. My old setup consisted of MB quarts and an single Alpine Type R 10'. This old set up was in a Tacoma. So I'm limited on space but I'm willing to give up some leg room. I'm not looking for SPL Competition nor SQ but a median between the two. Also being out in Hawaii (Maui) very limited to selection so I'm going to be doing this off of peoples opinions. So I narrowed down my choices to: 2 10' DC LVL 3 2 10' IDQV3 2 10' SSA DCON 2 10' DD1510 Will be wired in parallel to 1ohm. So pretty much these are the choices because most of them can be run in a small enclosure ported or sealed. Maybe not for the DD. I can listen to the IDQ and DD at one of our local shops, but the other two (if I do pick either) will be going in blind. Oh and please no recommending type R's either, I had one and liked it but would like something that doesn't sound muddy. Thanks

    OPINIONS NEEDED!!!!

alright so I might scrap the idea of the 2 10 dcons and just throw in a single 12" Xcon. just wondering if anybody is running a single Xcon and if they prefer it over 2 10's?

    10" ICON???

Will this be back in stock anytime soon? Just wondering and will a 1000 Watt amp power a pair? thanks
  19. strictlyhist8

    10" ICON???

alright cool I was just looking at the specs and seen 1000rms so I thought it was the minimum to drive the sub.
  20. strictlyhist8

    10" ICON???

    alright thanks

    OPINIONS NEEDED!!!!

all right guys thanks for the input. I'm going to pull the trigger on the d cons soon. I was wondering when I do order two, does it take the the week to build two of them or do they build one at a time for a order? So it'll be two weeks for both of them. Sorry for all the questions.
  22. strictlyhist8

    OPINIONS NEEDED!!!!

ok thanks guys. I narrowed it down to the IDQ or the D CONS. With the ARC KS 1000.1 would that be overkill for either subs? If so maybe I should down the amp to the ARC KS 500.1. Also what would have the better output between the two? I'm looking for something that'll get loud decently, hit the lows and sound good doing it.
  23. strictlyhist8

    OPINIONS NEEDED!!!!

ok so I just measured the room behind my seat and these are the dimensions: Width: 48.5 in Height: 24.4 in Bottom Depth: 8.5 - 9 in Top Depth: 5 in So I hope to get better responses on this set up. Either sealed or ported. thanks
