I ordered a 2x mainly because 1. They Shrink 2. I like them a little big But god damn, the 2x is pucking huge. I just ordered some t shirts and i ordered them in 3x because I knew they would shrink down, and brand new these things are a tiny bit smaller than FI's 2x

Search some of my posts...I have the same sub. I i have 1000w going to it. Alpine M1005. Am I happy with it? Yes very, however, I think im going to push it and get a slightly bigger amp. 1000w should do you fine though. Box wise, I think 5 cubes is to small, but check the sticky at the top that explains the box size for the BL. It will work, however, I am not that happy with 6 cubes, and will be going bigger..

Im sick of changing my mind lol.. Basiclly, I found someone else with the same jeep as me and he says that side firing is the best for ours because the port needs room to load, and it doesn't have the room it needs firing directly into the rear hatch. Any truth to that? How much of a difference is it going to make going from 6 cubes with 96sq/in of port area to 8 cubes with 128 Sq/in of port area? Can someone help me design the box. I mean I have the basic design down, But I need to know how to do the port. Cause I am lost.

Anyone else????? Port area...Will going bigger be better? 1000w on the 18...should i go to the full 16in per cube?

Well this is a Jeep WJ(Grand Cherokee) So the whole issue of needing room to "load" is BS? I mean with it firing back, its going to be about an Inch of space if that between port and door...

Most don't need to be sealed, like the ones you posted(Im getting the same) However, its a nice peace of mind to seal them up and it doesn't hurt anything. Z1 Silicone is used to seal boxes and these... However, the caulk you here about...is the same thing.. There reffering to Silicone Caulk...
