And now....The carnage... Calling for a new windshield tomorrow... But then what. The Glue I had on there was supposed to be like super strong. I think the big problem was I glued it directly to the window instead of the little peice they put on there(after it fell of three times) At least I know the glue is strong right? And sorry for no vids but I did one quickly and for some reason the file is corrupt...so ill get a new one AFTER the windshield is repaired. Its flexing really bad and i dont want it to shatter...

Good News and Bad News... Bad News: I will be building a new Box. As I didn't take into account the fact that the wheel wells keep it from sitting on the floor...In the back its not problem, but I forgot how deep the box was and that it might come in contact with them. Good News:THIS MOTHER fudgeER WANGS! Holy mother of all bass....I cant imagine having 2 of these, or even one BTL with a couple thousand Watt's..... I only turned it up real quick with the Gains set as low as they will go and no Subsonic Filter...As my fudgeing blank CDs dissapeared, and im waiting for the bitch to bring them to me on her afternoon break... jesus... Videos will be up later tonight...hopefully soon..

It means just that. The delivery date was say 3/4/2007 and something came up, either they didnt pick it up in time, it got delayed somewhere along the route or weather shut down delivery so the estimated delivery date was rescheduled to a later date

Well thanks, i appreciate all the nice comments. I have the bracing in now and ill probably start carpet later tonight. Use my half day tomorrow to set the gains, clean out the cargo area(Ie move out my Dual 12's) and move this monster of a box down 2 flights of stairs and out to the jeep... I cant promise videos as 1. Ill be to busy smiling to grab a camera 2. I have to install my Steering Wheel Control Adapter and thats a fudgeing job in it self...

As someone who has done alot of wood working, I'm not happy with it. However, for all free hand, i definitely impressed my self a little..... Next time, better be perfect or ill just rebuild again.
-
I got bracing. Turns out the peices I had were like 2/8 of an inch short...so I need to go out and get some more... It will only be getting 1000w or now..untill I can upgrade it. I love my amp setup and would have to change it to accomodate a larger amp. So for now 1000w it is..which is why i chose a BL instead of BTL

Very Happy with the box turn out. It was my first one, and I did everything free hand. Circular saw for cuts, and a Dremel to cut out the hole...I dont know how the hell the hole turned out so well cause i have the worst hands ever... Anyways, Planning on rebuilding it soon with the proper tools and maybe a slightly different design...(My Aunts Father in law is a cabnit maker and his shop is at my aunts house...so I have free range to lots of a tools, just didnt realize it untill a couple days ago)
-
thanks, I figured that but saw no holes So I got scared lol...
-
Ok got the cut out.. Now I need to know how the hell to install this thing. The rubber surround comes off(the part with the holes on top and bottom...So i pulled on it...and theres no holes through the basket..I dont want to go drilling through the sub so im wondering whats going on...
-
The sub yes...the amp no. Im 99.9% sure that that amp is only rated stable at 1ohm.... When was the order placed? You may be able to change it
-
thanks I lookked and didnt see them
-
Sooo...Didn't realize that this is recommended as a minimum(not sure why its not included then) and I would have gladly paid the 10 bucks to add this.... But I didn't know.. Anyways, What do I have to worry about without this?
-
Mead i think had a dual 18 setup
-
I gotta tell ya, unless this sub is completely fudgeed, I cant say Ill ever buy from another company again... The help you give is amazing. I absolutely love that. I knew I was at 96 but another calc said the minimum i should use for the subs specs was 104 so thats what I was worried about. Good thing I asked... Thanks Scott Hopefully ill see this sub on wed...assuming we dont have anymore freak Ice or snow storms that have been going around the last couple weeks...
-
So I checked last night UPS said Shipped, FI said shipped and its schedualed for next wed. I am very happy. But now Im starting my box build And I think Iv changed things a little.. I was running 6 cubes Net Volume. That was perfect for me as it just maxed out my the dimensions I could use...However, I think that in reality after displacements ill be down around 5 cubes... Is that enough? Or should I bump the box up to 7 net cubes? Any advice? Thanks

anyone?

18in BL Universal Going to Winans In Western NY... Sorry Should have put the sub in the first post. Heres what I have so far http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported...mp;Fs=&CE=0 To me the Total Port area seems a little short... Also, After doing some math my self, I get like 6.13 cubes, or close to that anyways. So after sub displacement I should have just a tad under 6 cubes... But I always thought that Net Volume was the total displacement Before taking into consideration the Sub and the Port...However, I got the 6 cubes+ Port Volume... Sound right? Whats your recommendation on Tuning...Someone recommended 32hz...sound right? I figure thats good cause I want SPL but I like them deep lows as well
