I would tune it to around 32-34 htz for daily (since most songs really don't get lower then that) that should be a nice box for those 2 15's (9 cuft) I'd go with roughly 135 square inches of port area... Yes imo the BTLs will be able to handle those amps... I highly and i do mean HIGHLY recommend you take a look at your electrical Steve... I would suggest at the very least upgrade the bat under the hood and get two batts (one per amp) for the sub amps.... If anything shoot for a HO alternator (which i recommend a iraggi HO alternator about 300amps would be good)... A poor electrical can end up damaging your expensive hard earned stereo system...

Very good stuff there ///M5 Could you explain (or give an example) of using the offboard xover like a bandpass ? would that be like say the sub channel would be set around 100hz on the offboard then when you get to the amp the amp you could set at around 60hz LPF and 20hz on the SSF... how would the rear and fronts along with the offboard xover be used like bandpass...?

Helotaxi this leaves me with a question I understand your example to a TEE If the crossovers on the amps allow for this type of crossovering (spelling LOL) (as the sax-100.4) would it be advantageous at all to get a stand alone crossover like an audiocontrol 6xs....?? I guess what i'm asking is If my amps have crossovers on them (merlin md.1d for subs and sax 100.4 for front stage) then is there an advantage in adding a crossover like an audio control 6xs or a four.1 ? If so why (Sorry i really want to learn what you guys have to offer in regards to car stereo so i do enjoy the occasional explanation of why) If not how about an EQ ?

Steve that depends on the amps output... meaning if an amp is only stable at 2ohms then you would get a dual 1ohm BTL if they are stable down to 1 ohm then yeah the dual 2 ohm would suffice... So with the BTL's i'd say that would run you on the high end both BTL's would be around 1 grand that leaves about 1200 for an amp if you could spare another 600 I would highly suggest 2 saz-3000d man (i believe they are going to be going for 900 one around there).... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7900 Read up on them bro i promise they slam.. If you go to maui head up to 3 ponds.... it's the best F**K spot in the world... it's these waterfalls that fall into these 3 pools that are no bigger then a one of those large scale walmart pools.... Some good amps that put out 2K each? i'd lo0k at some sundown saz-1500d (i know it's not quite 2K but they are pretty damn good amps at 1,500 watts a piece)... Contact Denim or SSaudio they are authorized dealers here on the forum... I'd also look at possibly a few memphis or kicker amps.... I'd also look at the Us Amps Merlin md.3d you can contact Flakko on these forums for a good price...

This is a single 10 right ? If so maybe drop the box volume down... the 1.9 is on the high end.. I'd personally look for a 1.1 or a 1.0 volume box (after all displacement) tuned to 30-32 hz and only about 15 sq inches of port area.... with 2K on it it should really get a moving man the BL will like that amount of power much better.... that 1001bd is pretty serious enough for it though..... with an enclosure more suited for the BL it should really make some noise Sub up port back is the most ideal sounding to me (especially if you got a hatchback).. It'll put up some nice numbers like that...

For you ? I like the Aero port idea and for your enclosure it would be probably more practical then a slotted port (due to the shape).... plus aero ports have less restrictive openings and less friction... Mind listing your box specs along with the BL options (if any) and the amp and wattage ?
