LoL NO, if its professionally done you should be above 14.4 volts even with the sub hitting its hardest. Its all about making sure you know what your doing before attempting something of this magnitude. I thought it was a 12 volt industry What do you mean 12volt industry?? If you have the proper wires, alternator and battery/batteries to power your amps you will see 14.4 volts or above depending on if your alternator can be manually set a different voltages...

What if its sundown? They say that their amps will handle .7ohms, But will the dual 2 ohm BTL n2 handle .7ohm in parallel since its 1.4 ohm per coil???
-
I have a question, I'm gonna order 1 Fi BTL n2 18'' fully loaded brand new 2011, would the dual 2 ohm coils be able to handle being wired to parallel .7 ohms? I talked to sundown they said that their new saz 2500d will handle a .7 ohm load producing 2800-3000 watts but I will set the gain with a o-scope ( I just want clean power) I'm worried after watching this video and you guys say that the woofer should not be wired under 1 ohm for daily. In my setup the BTL will be in a spec 6.5 ft3 minimum after bracing and port. 270-300amp h/o alt, o awg, big three, 8 awg woofer wire. Fi ALL DAY Thank you for your time

Does the SAZ-2500D come with a remote bass knob? I cant find any pics...
-
Thank you yea I saw these specs and saw it said wired remote but just wanted to make sure that it was a knob remote.

I cant really afford anything better but Kenwood X595. I love how they have 4volt pre outs. most company's dont have this.
-
Cool just wanted to make sure, I'm gonna go with the sundown instead of the Rockford T2500-bdcp(sinc the Rockford's subsonic filter isnt adjustable). Just wanted to make sure cause I didnt want to have to control the sub using my Head unit lol

Need advice choosing a Amp
audiophile144 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'm getting my fully loaded Fi BTL N2 18'' soon. I'm still not sure what amp to get without overpowering or under powering the BTL. Do you think 1 Rockford t2500bdcp would be too much for it (it put out 2500watts at 1ohm and 2 ohm)?? Or also im thinking about getting 2 rockford T1000bdcp's (which puts out 1000watts at 1ohm or 2ohm) and hooking up one amp on each coil on the BTL. Let me know what you guys think Thank you -

So which amp would you suggest from Rockford's power line?? or amps?? -
Bro don't listen to haters, If your thinking about 2 10'' type R's, would you consider 2 Fi Bl's?? The BL's will hit harder but only if your set up is professional, electrical , box , amp , etc. and if you cant afford 2 BL's just get 1 BL 18'' fully loaded

I Love all the Rockford power amps but I do really think the T1500bdcp will do the BTL 18'' justice?? I'm in a predicament : ( -

For electrical I have all Rockford wiring 0awg for big three and amp, 8awg for sub and amp connections, 270amp dc power alternator. I have all the parts ready for install I just need a few more things before I start the build. I just don't wanna hurt the BTL and then have to recone : (. -
BMW H.O. Alternator advice/help
audiophile144 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have a 2000 Bmw 528i, I've been looking all over the net for a ho alternator and I cannot find any. Does anyone know of any top notch companies that make or custom make h.o. alternators for bmws? excluding nations alts and power bastards. -
Hey guys I'm getting my plan's ready on my btl n2 18. I already have my amp to power it(hifonics for now). But I'm still deciding on the box plans. I'm doing a ported box tuned to 33hz. I want to do the box perfect and to spec but I'm having a hard time calculating the bracing and how thick I should make it for safety. Any advice would be appreciated thanks for your time

I Have a 2000 bmw 5 series. Here is the setup: 1 15 BTL n2 fully loaded powered by a hifonics 2000.1 All under hood elecrical will be done with 0 awg ROCKFORD FOSGATE WIRING. Stock alt. (I believe it is 160amp) Either the stock batt or kinnetik batt upgrade will be used Do you guys think that the cars electrical will be able to handle it? gain will not be set to max.. I jus wanna be able to make car alarms go off with the BTL hhahaha Thank you for your time -

Yea I your right I checked the hifonics HFI 2000.1 and it only accepts 4awg. I'm gonna get the BRZ 2100.1 instead cuz it accepts 0awg and 100w extra is nothing since the amps arent 100% efficient dont you think? -

I might do a batt but if its in great condition then no Big 3 100% For the gain I know the sub can handle the hifonics amp 2000rms but its probably not even as powerful as they rate it but I'm not gonna set it to spec for gain probably a lil under spec Whats wrong with hifonics? For the price its great $300.00 for a 2000.1 thats what im getting for and I've used crunch amps , hifonics lil bro company , the crunch hit nicely and cleanly. I'll look into welding supply thank you. I can get a RF kit for $120.00 it comes with a anl fuse holder and 20 ft of pure copper 0 awg its Immaculate copper. You don't think 1 15 BTL N2 on 2000rms can set off an alarm???? There's better amps out there than the hifonics, especially for that sub, if it were me I'd upgrade to get the most out of that sub. FYI the amp will have nothing to do with how "nicely and cleanly" the sub will hit. Amps have very little affect if any on sound quality if thats what you meant when you said that. When you're looking into an amp the only things you should really worry about is if it puts out rated power and will be durable. I've known someone who had one and it did neither, but thats completely subjective and irrelevant. Anyway that alt may be 160 amp but at how many rpms? I doubt it does that at anything below 4k but im no expert on this. I'd definately get a better battery and maybe even a second one. To answer your car alarm question.....I wouldnt worry about that lol just worry about if it will meet your needs. Good luck man I cant really afford anything other than the hifonics, ill have a 2 yr warrenty with it and there descent amps. Idk about the alt I need to check and make sure I might call bmw and ask. I understand. If your on a budget db-r does have sundown refurb amps which would save you some money. You should be alright with that hifonics but I would definately upgrade at least your stock battery. Most ppl running that much power use a second battery otherwise you could be starving that amp and it may harm it. I wanna get a new amp jus to be safe, I was looking at my stock batt and its 90ah. I calculated how much watts the system is with everything(1840 cuz amps arent 100% efficient) and I will need 128ah to supply everything. So I'm either gonna get one extra kinnetik hc 800 or kinetik hc1200 to add to the stock batt to make 126ah or 140ah(with hc1200) parallel. Or jus get one monster kinetik hc2400. What you think?? Is it bad to have more ah than needed im pretty sure its not cuz everything is fused. -

yea checked on parts for the 5 series and for the alternators it said the 160 amp alternator that they were selling is built to exact bmw specs. -
Hey crazyman , I'm getting a 2000 bmw 528 or 540i. Could you give some advice or opinions plz since your a bimmer lover it looks like? I'm gonna be installing 1 15 BTL N2 powered by a hifonics 2000.1. Do you think the 5 series will handle it with stock h/o and jus 1 batt? I'll be running 0 awg rockford fosgate wiring to underhood electrical and amp wiring. Thank you for your time

I love the box , good work bro keep it up.
