So with dedicated EQ's per channel, would you still put the crossovers after them in the signal path?
-
Would that be a better option? A dedicated EQ for each channel? Doesnt Audiocontrol make a 6 channel EQ?

Not in a trunk car...but I had a 4Runner in HS. I had 2 Image Dynamics 12s sealed. With the box facing back, it wasn't nearly as loud, so it sat about 3 inches behind my rear seat. But that's the only car that I've had that was like that. Most are louder with subs facing back, and IMO sound best when corner loaded.

nuthin wrong with that, just get a d4 woofer I have a D1 that would work... I'm more concerned with an expensive, off shore, unstable amp. -
Any update on the possible release of the next models of amps?

What about a 100.6 with gain pots only. -
Your sub will accept the other coil right? "Universal: This option gives you the choice to later chance the impedence of your voice coils. You can change from dual 2

A Q would be the most accurate, A BL would likely be the loudest, and a BTL, while also very loud, would allow you to add another amp later and get REAL loud.

http://www.cnet.com.au/downloads/0,2390303...0602997s,00.htm This is the cnet site to d/l it. Sorry if this has been posted before, I just found it and thought it was neat.

I also understand that the other site is considerably more useful to the car audio enthusiast.

It's called harmonics. Eww...they're bad harmonics. I dont think there's any way to record any of these tones anyway. I guess you could power the HU with a usb though. I still don't really understand the problem with a -12 db signal...as long as it's clean. The nch generated tones don't add harmony's...I'm pretty sure they're digital.

^ I think I offended some calc. professors yesterday. They were studying for a continuing ed class, and being that I used to do programming a lot I told them I used to make programs to do the equations, and that I could make them some if they wanted (genuinely a nice offer imo). They got upset and told me a program wouldn't help them pass the test, and that it couldn't do the math. ?? Whats the point in being rude when someone is trying to be nice? They can take all these classes and learn how to teach people, and then have no people skills to deal with their students?! Oh well, since college I've never had a situation where I couldn't look things up- that's real life, and I don't feel college prepares people fully for application of what they learn. Why study formulas and memorize them long enough to pass a test and then forget them? Why not teach people how to figure eqations out the same way you read a sentence instead of memorization? I'm sorry, I'll stop ranting- I'm just frustrated with some people teaching methods. As Jimj said, there most likely wont be an audible difference in amps. Everyone says the sundown line is very under-rated though, so I don't know how much of a difference there would be. I love the fact that everyone seems to have great customer service with them too. I'm considering switching to sundown myself. I got thru calc, stat and finite by programming my TI83... It's not about memorization...it's about using the tools available to accomplish the task at hand. I once used Google on an Access test because the teacher said we could use any resource other than other students.

Some cars sound best with the subs facing forward. Some cars sound best with the subs facing backward. Some cars sound best with the subs facing up. Some cars sound best with the sub box in a corner, and the sub facing the center of the trunk. The same goes for SPL. And you'll never know which is best till you try them all. (I found that there isn't a lot of difference in my particular applications...I can tell, but passengers can't...YMMV)

Thats cool! Thanks. Why do the ultralow tones have a lot of high freq info in them too?

How could the sub get "beat" and the former turn gold if the sub never saw 1000w? Scott could you help solve the mystery?

Do you really just go out of your way for people to call you a dumbass? It was a joke. I'm sorry you didn't get it. I vote Sundown.

Can't you just turn it up?
