What are you talking about? That is enough power... I said "thats not much power" of course its enough, but ive seen others running (4) 8's on 3000w+ all day, and (2) 8's on 1500w, jus sayin you might not get all (4) 8's full potential with only 375 rms each, just do 2 8's or 4 8's on a bigger amp, thats what "im talking about" just trying to help
-
thats not that much power for (4) sa-8's,>>>> ill be giving my sa-8's 600-750 rms each, why not (2) sa-10's on 1500w?

Great work so far man, that front stage looks pretty intense, i like the subs too, i remember a few years back i had (2) 12" infinity perfect subs on a 1200w class d amp, i loved their sound , great ""SQL"" sub, and very puuurty too, BTW i hope you eventually put like 1 mllion pounds of sound deadening in that trunk, or its gonna rattle lik a mother F !!!!!! keep up the great craftsmanship, im def tuned in for more -

Amazing install brother, from the door pods to the quad 18's whole thing makes me so Hawneyyyyy, you are very talented, ive been drooling over your truck as well ever since i saw it on the "tahoeyukonforum" i remember talking to you over there a while ago my name was "DIY_DAD" unfortunately i had to sell my HO due to losing my job and gas prices here in so cal are now around $4.30 / Gallon for 87 octane, i loved my HO and always hoped for something amazing like yours, so keep up your amazing work, and keep your beautiful truck shining, BTW, .....i havent seen crunch amps since high school, and never really cared about em, but since your install i knew you are intelligent and researched these crunch amps, and i guess they are amazing quality and nothing like the old garbage crunch stuff, where did you buy them, any more info on them would be greatly appreciated, thanks man, much respect................Todd -

Hello friends im in the mood to buy some midbass drivers soon, and would like some opinions, im looking for a 6.5" specifically, and in the future it will be run off of either a Sundown 100.4D or a CDT 4 ch amp, both are around 100-110 rms x4 @ 4 ohms, here are the (2) different midbass drivers im currently looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/2-CDT-Audio-M6-6-5-480-Watt-Max-Mid-Sub-Bass-Drivers-/120608723861?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item1c14d71395 and>>> http://cgi.ebay.com/CX64-V-2-IMAGE-DYNAMICS-6-5-4-OHM-MID-BASS-SPEAKERS-/120608722859?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item1c14d70fab Any opinions on the 2 would be much appreciated, BTW they will be going in the lower doors in custom pods, Also any opinions on another 6.5" midbass for around the same price and power range would also be appreciated greatly, thanks for your time

Well being an 8" sub lover 4 life i usually would say get the 8's butttttttt, those 8's dont look too great, i mean for the $30 for a pair of 8's, just seems a bit cheap, i would say get 1 12" and port it on a lil amp and youll be happy, and BTW this is coming from a guy who LOVES 8" subs!!!, just dont like those cheap ones, i dnno if this helps, maybe im just tired and rambling again haha

Is this a good buy? 2 RE Audio SX 10's & 2 AudioPipe apsm-1300
MR_8 replied to lildragon45's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Im not too familiar with audiopipe, but IMO they look extremey overrated and not that great, i always go by " you get what you pay for" so 2 amps for dirt cheap, probably means your getting cheap overrated amps, just my 2 cents, it just seems like such a downgrade going from a us amps amplifier to audiopipe, yuck, anyways just my opinion but i say keep the RE's and get a quality amp on em, good luck -
Nice work so far, im droolng over those mids, nice speaker choices, cant wait to see those 18's
-
Put the better speakers up front , for sure, in my opinion rear staging is worthless, for me im all about front stage, all sound sounds crappy from the backseat anyways, and up front all the rear speakers are drowned out by bass usually anyways

Sorry i am just so excited like a kid on christmas, they were waiting for me on my door when i got home from the gym, mannnnn these things are soo beefy, i own some DD 1008's and thought nothing else could touch them until i opened these up, they are built like a brick shithouse! my wife couldnt even pick 1 of them up, i cant wait to break them in and then cause some chaos, btw im going with a sundown 1200D, but still need someone to build me a box im horrible with that stuff
-
Im selling 1 of them to my friend, but my other one is brand new, never used, if anyone wants to buy it lemme know its a DD 1000 series 8" svc 4, make me an offer
-
I bought 2, i got kind of worried when they were selling out so quick, so i bought them right away, how do you guys suggest breaking them in, im kind of a noob, my thought was to wire them in parallel (2) dvc 4's to 8 ohms each then wire in series to a 4 ohm mono load giving them 400 rms from the 1200d just to loosen up the cone and spiders etc, then after 2 weeks wire them to 1 ohms mono to get 1200 rms, what are your ideas, btw i wonder where in CA this argent audio is, i would love a cstom box built specifically for these beast but for now just a universale size, because im gonna sell my chrysler 300 and try and get a newe Audi a4 1.8t, then build a custom box once that car is mine, was thinking of building thema box for the audi where the vents would be lined up with the rear seat arm rest as a "blow through" thatd be sick, any ideas or suggestions are welcome,BTW when i figure out how to do pic uploads ill take some SA-8 vs. DD 1008 pics

i am building a setup for listening only, no competitions or anything, running (2) sa-8 dvc 4's, i was originally thinking of a sundown 1000d, which i felt was enough, but everyone i see with sa-8's is running either a 1200d or 1500d, is it safe to run these larger amps for daily abuse on the subs or is the 1000d going to be enough, thanks for your advice
