sacramento...so north cal i suppose? i dunno i'm canadian so what do i know lol and steve, that was indeed a very sick video. times like that sure makes all those hours of building/designing worth it
-
dry fit out of the car you cam see that its about an inch off..but its no biggy(top left) floor done covered to reduce rattles so close to the top...yea i had to use the 1/2" to make it work all mocked up glued and screwed and caulked
-
thanks guys. i will continue working on it today in 3 hours after school here is a 3D rendering of what it will look like when complete. its 6.4 after port/sub displacement and is tuned to 35 hz with 93^2" of port....however i may drop the tuning a little lower. we'll see...
-
oh, i just took this...you guys should like this one... btw, i bought my amp from SS Steve, from British Columbia..which is where i got the sticker
-
hey guys, im a noobie to this forum. a lot of you probably recognize my sign name/this build. here are all the pics as of now. well i have got all the wood cut other than the top and the inner port wall. other than that everything is going well. i am waiting for my 1" baffle for the sub to dry..then i can work on the mounting system for the sub(you'll see). here are some pics me screwing sub to 1" baffle. the perdy sub in the baffle. the gap was fixed btw floor piece done. the toughest part as of yet a view from inside the car my bud holding it in place the half inch bolts to mount the sub into the box bolts through the 1.75" thick baffle ass shot side profile right frotn piece attached to sub baffle all together now

yea it should be slightly stronger hehe i am very supprised how closely i built the carboard one without having an 18 to use as a reference. haha and the amp is an a2400db and will be running at 1 ohm..so about 1500 watts. And yea, it sure is an 18
-
haha yea i made that abotu a month ago...reason being is to see if i could fit this sub. it gave me a good idea of how it would fit and really helped a lot. and to my supprise is quite accurately to scale.

Well after two weeks checking the post office everyday, it finally came lol. my first thoughts of this sub is my god it is huge...built like a tank. it is pretty damn heavy to say the least. i have never owned a sub larger than a 12" so as you can imagine i am very excited to have this. thanks for everything Scott and the rest of the guys at FI. Im not sure there is a car audio company out there that can match your customer service, and of course top notch build quality for an affordable price. here are the pics i took so far i will start a build thread over in the build log section too.
-
hey scott, thanks for sending me an email to check if the sub arrived. i guess i will just respond on here since you probably wont recieve the email i sent for a while. the sub didnt arrive last week so i will post on here with pics when it does arrive

i would first find out how much space you have...then you should be able to get a better answer. otherwise, unless one of the guys on here owns the same car we have no numbers to work with. but if you can dream it, you can do it...to an extent atleast lol. if its going to be realy close i would do a lot of preparation...perhaps build model subs? LOL

i am actually in Canada, but i guess it would be the same deal then...well in that case im sorry about that guys i didnt realize i wouldnt recieve a tracking number. sorry for wasting your time lol and i am totally fine with shipping usps, because saving money is good. thanks NDMstang65 for clearing that up
-
im not trying to be rude or impatient...but perhaps when you speak with scott NDMstang65 (i assume you will to take care of it through him) if you could ask him to check his e-mail. that would be great, thanks
-
maybe because i spoke with scott on the phone when i ordered, by credit card...he forgot or something? i dont know...
-
