btw great choice in sub for home use, someone did a review on it for his home and 1 of his friends said when they were watching jurasic park his insides felt funny..lol
-
you know if you have any i would love to see some vids of your system in action
-
thats a sexy sub, does anyone in what category this goes in? spl or LSQ?
-
ya lets says the sub you have is 500 watts and its a 4 ohm sub and the amp you have is a 1000 watt amp that puts that power out at 4ohms you can wire them together BUT you need to adjust your gains so that amp does not blow your sub OR you can get another sub thats dual 4 ohm wire them together and you get a 4 ohm load and then you can use that amp to put on those subs and run 500 to each
-
yes the amount of watts the amp puts out and the amount the sub can take have nothing to do with compability its the ohms..once you find a sub and amp that will run fine together then you have to set the settings accordingly so you dont blow your subs..because if a sub is 500 watts rms and the amp puts out 1000 watts there a good chance you will blow it..

so the 4 ohms with the 175w just means that theres less power? and the 250w at 2 ohms means theres more power? is it even nessacery to measure your system by ohms, or should you just go by the watts? or is there subs/amps or whatever that come like 100w @ 2 ohms and then a different one that can be 100w @ 4 ohms? ohms are very necessary because some subs run at 1ohm, some at 2ohms, some at 3ohms..so depending on how many subs you get and what ohms you have to get a amp that will play at those ohms...for example lets say you have 2 subwoofers that are dual 4ohms..meaning you can wire them eiter down to eiter 1 ohm or 4 ohm...so you have to find a amp that will power your subs correctly on eiter 1 ohm or 4ohm's

somewhat right, but its not all xmas..and just cause 1 sub has more xmax then another doesnt mean its louder..with those 2 subs its hard to say man they both have really good sq and both can get really loud..i myself am going with ssa because its new and not many people have them..so it gives me a chance to be different since there are so many people now doing the fi thing..so it just comes down to doing what others are or trying something new...because both will serve your needs.. -
oh no you dont have to worry the zx 2500.1 is a horse man..its put outs a little over rated somewhere around 2800 watts and its solid..i mean i could drop $700-$800 on it and not have to worry if i made the right choice..but in this case first option is sundown

what are your opinions on clifford alarms?
-
you gotta remember sometimes thats the only way they learn..they will realize you get what you pay for and next time will nut up and pay..untill then they will continue to think for $125 they can buy the greatest sub in the world....trial and error is all they need
