They're also for ugly people ...

I knew most of those ... But this isn't anything new ... The education system gets dumbed down more and more with each passing year ...

4 cans of pop = way more sugar than a Crunch bar

That's just women in general

I know how that goes ... I've got wicked acid reflux and Crohn's Disease ... I can't eat anything sugary before I go to bed or else I get acid reflux. Spicy foods are out of the question w/ Crohn's ... I dislike coffee, so I don't know what that does to me. My doctor recently put me on an acid reducer (Zantac) because I'm off the medication that conflicts with it and my acid reflux has been considerably better. Tried looking into that ?

Get a surge protector ... I'd advise a good one, but even the cheap ones ($6) are better than none at all ...

There's barely any caffeine in pop ... 355 mL of Coca-Cola Classic has about 10% the caffeine of 250 mL of coffee.4 cans (1.4 liters) of pop = 100 mL of coffee I'd say it's more likely the sugar that kept you up ... PS - 4 cans of pop is crazy ...

I'd say they're decent for budget equipment ...

This swear-filter pisses me the fuck off ...

I know Unions often have the upper hand and end up pushing the company to pay them probably more than they deserve. My dad works at a mill where they have almost 1200 employees and the average pay is almost $70,000/year ... Just doing some quick math, that's $84 million on the payroll for a small-town (20,000 residents) pulp and paper mill ... Reducing average pay by $1/hour would save the company about $2.6 million/year. I don't know what Steve's situation is, but it is possible his company is just unwilling to give that extra $1/hour ... or benefits ... or whatever ... because it would save them a lot of money. As you know, in this day and age, it's all about the bottom-line ...

Unions have their upsides and downsides ... Better-than-average pay, job security, medical benefits, etc. being the upsides. I know my dad wouldn't be making $100,000/year if he weren't in a union. Of course, it really sucks when your union goes on strike when you need the money and it's arguable that the job security has made some workers lazy. What happened to Steve ?

I prefer morphine aka sleep at the push of a button ... Mmmm, morphine ...

I'm going to guess that's it's because of the snow ... Extra weight (ice & snow), increased rolling resistance, increased warm-up time, increased air resistance, etc.

I started keeping track of my GF's car's fuel economy in the last few months. Here's a screenshot of the Excel program I made up for it ... Note: My license expired on July 1st ... 90% of the driving prior to that was done by me. My GF has done the majority of driving since even though I renewed my license in mid-July. As you can see, there is a large discrepency between us. She has a 1990 Chevrolet Sprint w/ a fair bit of miles (rebuilt engine, though) ...

Downloaded a 7 GB Porn DVD off a newsgroup last night ... Woke up in the morning and noticed I'd run out of space Deleted some stuff and tried to continue, but the posts had been purged. I figured I'd be alright because I was only missing 5 files. I ran QuickPAR to repair it and it ended up being 5 blocks short (5 blocks !) ... t3h gh3y ...

Went Golfing yesterday ... Played like absolute garbage, shooting a 47 on 9 holes Sadly, the only reason why I even made a 47 was because I kept making putts when I was doing poorly ... Then, when I was actually hitting greens in regulation, I was 3-putting Just another example of my completely inconsistant play ... We were also there for 30 minutes after our tee time because they forgot to call us ... When I went up to see what was going on, they accused us of being late and never checking in (we checked in 20 minutes before our tee time) ... Then, I asked to see the guy who I checked-in with and he said he thought we went home (WTF kind of response is that ?) ...

I have not read about any problems with the new VW's other then the SUV one...I forgot the name. Hyundai is cheap, and has the 10 year 100k warranty. I agree that they are not on the same playing field as honda or toyota but again, cheap, with a great warranty. He only has 1.5-2 years of school. By that time he mentioned that he would be looking into something else. My last opinion. Around here (Dallas) used BMW cars are going for fairly cheap. ~15k for a lightly used 3 series with <50k miles. Just another thought. Just because it has a 10-year warranty, it doesn't make it good. They are also the most stringent company I've ever seen when it comes to warranties (my local dealer, at least) ... My best friend's mom's 2002 Elantra started rusting last year ... so, you'd think it would be covered under warranty, right ? Nope ... Why ? They claim it's because she scratched the paint, so they refused to cover it under warranty. She has an ongoing problem with the Check Engine light coming on and her car suddenly losing power. She has brought the car in numerous times (at least a dozen) and it stops doing it for maybe a month or two and then starts doing it again. Sadly, I could also recite several other cases with Hyundais as well.Hyundai's 10-year warranty sure as hell wouldn't give me peace of mind considering my personal experience and some of the stories I've read online ... Though it appears to vary dealer-to-dealer ... My Hyundai dealer = chit ... Pretty much all the new VWs have had serious quality control problems, not just the Touraeg/Cayenne ... The New Beetle was listed as one of Consumer Reports's 5 most problematic cars this year.
