Yay, weekend ! 4 days of hell ... They hired me to clean up the warehouse because it's in complete shambles; doesn't look like it's been organized in years ... It's going to take months to fix ... especially since, of the 4 days I've worked, they only supplied me with the tools I needed on one of those days. pucking retarded ...

Oddly addicting ... I can't seem to stop playing FYI, you need a lot of RAM ... Takes up 384 MB with 5 players halfway through the game ... I tried playing with 8 players and it was using up 425 MB of RAM and 3.86 GB of Page File by the 1600s (30-60 seconds between turns for my computer; 2500+ overclocked to 2035 MHz, 512 MB of PC333, highly overclocked GeForce4 MX440, overclocked AGP slot) This is the only game I've had that has stressed my computer to a point where it's noticably slow ... What sort of clock speeds can you get out of the MX440? http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1242"I'm frankly a little stunned at how well this card overclocked; moving from merely 270MHz/400MHz to 415MHz/713MHz is nothing to scoff at, especially for a budget videocard!" Mine isn't quite as overclocked (350/640), but it's been overclocked that much for over 3 years now, so it's proven to be quite reliable ... on the stock cooling, too ...

I'm addicted to Civilization 4 ... I don't understand why ...

He can't just expect me to come in on Wednesdays when I told him both during the interview and on my first day that I seriously can't come in on Wednesdays and he said that was fine; that he'd give me Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. But he told me to come in yesterday, so I'm not sure if he's expecting me to come in today.

Okay, I've now been phoning my work for the last 45 minutes and no one has picked up yet ... WTF ?

Don't even get me started on auto repair shops ... My GF's catalytic converter imploded 2 years ago and, instead of just replacing what was broken (cat), they fitted an all-new exhaust, new muffler, and even replaced the air filter (which didn't need to be replaced as I had just got a new one for it 2.5 months prior) ... Total bill comes out to $964 ... After checking over the bill, I see that they charged $30.61 for the air filter ... I took it out and it was the EXACT same filter I'd just purchased 2.5 months ago for $5.84 from Wal-Mart ... pucking con artists ... I went in there pissed off and asked to see the dealer cost on the filter and they absolutely refused to tell me ... Oh, and on top of that, they also charged for 0.1 hours of labour @ $79.50/hour to install the filter. I asked them about this, too, and their response was that they charge $79.50/hour when they work on the car after-hours (after 5) ... 8 pucking dollars to install a new, overpriced air filter that didn't need replacing and we didn't even ask for ... what a pucking joke ...

Last I saw, it was down to 88.9 cents/liter here, which is like $2.75 USD/US Gallon (quick guess) Been up for the last 30 minutes trying to phone my new job ... I didn't talk to the manager last night (he went home early) and am wanting to make sure he isn't expecting me to come in ... He said he'd give me Tuesdays and Wednesdays off for school, but he wanted me to come in yesterday despite that, which was fine by me, but I need Wednesday off to study. I find it hard to believe that no one is there when I would start in 2 minutes ... GF went in to work early this morning (she was gone when I got up at 7:30), so I can't even get there anyways ...

I've heard Nvidia's recent offerings in this field have been pretty decent as well ... I definitely prefer the 6000-series over the Radeon X series for standard cards ...

I just gave my cat a bath ... clogged the drain 3 times ... I've been having to vacuum every day or two because it's shedding so much ... If it continues to shed, it's going to get shaved ... My asthma is bad enough during winter without something shedding all over the place ...

That's terrible ... There are so many children with cancer; it's quite depressing, actually ... When I went to children's hosptial back when I was 15, they sent me to the oncology ward for testing because they thought I might have lymphoma ... There were dozens of little kids there; most of whom were hooked up to machines, were ghost white, and didn't have any hair ... My mom couldn't even stay in the room without crying ...

We mostly get rain here ... I don't even drive in the snow; too many retards who don't know how to drive in the snow ...

Got a new job today ... nothing special, but it pays more ... Unfortunately, it's a night job, so I won't be able to see my GF much ... but it should get me some extra $$$ for Christmas and, after I complete my courses in December, I should be able to find a job doing one of them for even more money, so it's not a huge deal ... My GF doesn't seem too happy about it, though ... I should start next Monday and make about $480/month (- taxes) more ...
