STis are overrated. Was not terribly impressed when I drove it (older model). It understeers so much more than you'd think and the interior is complete garbage. The Evo was better, though still not my kind of vehicle.

Why would you hate cats ? They take care of themselves, but take more work to train than dogs (they're also far less dangerous and destructive if left untrained). I've taught mine boundaries (i.e. not allowed in my room, so they sit at the doorway), how to fetch, how to sit, stay, etc. I can pour a large bowl of food and water and leave for a week, come back, and not have dead animals and/or barf everywhere. Nothing against dogs or anything (I loved my dog just as much as I love my cats), just don't understand the cat hate.

I would do the same thing. Brakes are far cheaper than transmission repairs. All the vehicles I own are manuals so I will agree to dis-agree. Maybe he's referring to downshifting automatics ?For manuals, I have never had any transmission problems in 12 years of driving.

I assume you're looking for advice for your own system. If that is the case, you can help us out by telling us what car you have, the dimensions of the space you're willing to dedicate to your sub stage, what amplifiers you have (if any), what enclosure you have (if any), etc. Someone could name some really nice subs, but they might not work in your particular situation.

Most of the women I know don't know shit about discipline at all. My GF, for example, coddles all of her animals when they're babies, then when they're old and still misbehave, she gets pissed off because they don't listen to her. Meanwhile, I try to train them when they're young and she gets on my case for being "mean." Her entire family is like that, half the animals end up given away or put down (because they bit someone). Most of the young mothers I know let their children do whatever the fuck they want and some of the ones who now have teenagers now are just completely lost. One of the mothers I speak of had her kid over at my place and he poked the dust cap in on my speaker, so I slapped his hand and yelled "no" at him. His mother got all pissed off because I shouldn't be punishing him because he "doesn't know any better" and I "could have broken his hand" and I "probably scarred him for life." Of course he doesn't know better, you haven't taught him shit, lady! The kid was like 5 or 6 at the time, too. We're not talking a 1-year-old here. It's no wonder our world is so fucked up.
