So my "GF" tells me she doesn't want to do the long distance thing anymore, that she's not in love with me anymore, and she's been thinking about getting back together with her ex-BF from high school ... Obviously, I wasn't very happy, but I said whatever, if that's what you want, there's no point in fighting it ... Next night, I get a bunch of messages on my MSN while I'm sleeping, so I get up to check what's going on. It's my "GF" trying to get ahold of me. I ask her what's up and then she starts going off on me about how my friend Kristina was talking to her earlier that night about spending the night with me, etc. I had no idea she even had anything planned, but that didn't stop her from thinking that. Not that it should matter to her since she just said she wanted to end our relationship. Anyways, next thing you know, she wants to plan a camping trip for our days off this coming weekend, so I say fine. Next morning, I reserve a campsite and pay $60 for the 2 nights and tell her about it. Then Kristina phones me up a couple hours later and asks me if I want to spend the night at her house tonight. I said sure, that sounds fine to me. I told my GF I wasn't going to be on later tonight and to e-mail me if she wants to tell me anything, then she starts getting nosy, so I tell her that I'm going to spend the night at Kristina's place. She gets pissed off, obviously, but when I ask her if I'm her BF, she says no, so I said "then it's none of your business where I sleep, now is it ?" and said bye and left. Spend the night drinking, talking, and having a lot of fun with Kristina. After she passed out, I started feeling really guilty (no, I didn't do anything with her) and I couldn't sleep until like 4 am. Woke up at 7 am, waited for Kristina to wake up, which wasn't until 9, and told her that I had to go to work. She asked me if I could pick her up after work so we could hang out, I said sure. I go to work until 7, pick her up after work, and go to my place. I told her to make herself comfortable and watch TV while I have a shower. I have a shower, get out, and she says, "Let's go for dinner." Go for dinner, hang out with some of her friends, etc. until I just got home now. Go on MSN, few angry messages from my "GF" which didn't make any sense, so I open up my message history. Yeah, while I was in the shower, they were e-catfighting over me ... I then open up my e-mail to have her tell me that she doesn't want to go camping this weekend and she's going to go hang out with her ex-BF instead. Waste of $60 getting the campsite plus I just made my life more stressful than it already is ... Yay Well, anyways, Kristina wants me to spend the night at her place tomorrow night, too ... I don't know if I should try to patch things up with Ms. "I don't want you as a BF, but I don't want you to be with anyone else" or just say fvck it and move on ... I know it seems like an obvious choice, but truth be told, I still love my "GF" ... and, although Kristina is considerably hotter and we get along much better, I just don't feel the same way about her as I do my "GF" ... I should just drink until I can't feel feelings anymore ... Let the liquor decide what's best for me ...

Well, finally got to hang out with my best friend for the first time in a while tonight and man, did he ever make sense of things ... I feel a hell of a lot better about everything

Now they're just a depressing reminder of how you've wasted another year of your life, your GF left you and moved away, most of your good friends moved away, you don't even really like your new friends, and every day you come home to an empty house and an empty bed ...

A couple of my friends (twins) had their birthday party today ... One of their friends ordered a pair of shots; flaming sambuca ... One of them forgot to blow the fire out before he took the shot and burnt the shit out of his tongue ... It was awesome ...

They look fine on all of my widescreen TVs (I don't own any non-widescreens now ) ... Plus, with the modern consoles, you can run in HDTV formats, so the picture quality is much better. LCD looks much better than LCD projection, IMO, plus you can wall-mount them, although they do cost a fair amount more. Make sure you get one with an ATSC tuner for future compatibility. I picked up a 26" Toshiba Widescreen HDTV several months ago for $399 ... Heavy SOB (91.5 lbs) ... Cable quality could be better, but DVDs and PS2 look very good ...
