After almost a month with no bass, I'm finally ready to build an enclosure for the 10W0s to fit my car ... Not nearly as fancy as the one I designed for the GF's car or my C10a enclosure (which I lent out to my best friend's GF and has suspiciously gone "missing"), but I believe it will sound good ... We'll see tomorrow night whether or not I've lost my touch

I showed a few of the other computer techs at work today and they were laughing for real, just as I was ... Good times ...

Someone calls at 8 am and I have no idea who it is: Some guy: Hello David, how are you today ? Me: I'm alright Some guy: You sound tired, did I wake you ? Me: Yeah Silence ... Me: Hello ? Me: Are you fvcking kidding me ? Who the fvck phones at 8 o fvcking clock in the fvcking morning for with no good fvcking reason ? And I know it was a fvcking telemarketer because no one who actually knows me calls me David. To you telemarketer and telemarketing company, I hope you live a long, depressing, disease-ridden life and die a slow, painful death. I hope you lose your wife/GF, I hope you lose your children, I hope you lose any friends you may have, I hope your closest sibling dies in your arms as you cry asking god why he's doing this to you, I hope you develop huge painful, scarring sores all over your body that last for years and leave you hideously scarred for the rest of your life, I hope you lose limbs and are left relatively useless, I hope you lose your senses, so you can no longer enjoy anything and, finally, and most importantly, I hope you die before I do so, if I ever find out who you are, I can go to your funeral and take a huge shit on your casket as they're lowering it.

Woke up @ 7 am this morning to a hammers pounding on the roof ... I guess they're putting the finishing touches on the apartment's rooftop ... I understand the desire to work on a roof early in the morning but ... it's 7 am ... people want to sleep Oh, and no vomit this morning

I'm beginning to think it's not healthy to drop 18 lbs in 3 days ... Ugh ... Can't stop throwing up ... I think I might go to the hosptial tomorrow ... On a more positive note, my GF is coming on Tuesday for a couple days ... Yay ... Downside is that, every time I talk to her, she never lets up about wanting me to move over there ... I know she's going to be on it the second she gets here ... Before she moved, I told her that she was going to end up being broke and was going to miss me and was going to ask me to move over there within a few months ... All came true because I have the gift of foresight ... Oh wait, no, just common sense ... I like being with her, but I'm not one to put myself into situations where there's potential for disaster ... and this is already a complete disaster ... Haha, I know, just leave her ... easier said than done ...

budget is $400-$450 max... i have looked around all kinds of web-sites and all kinds of classifieds in forums and i can't come up with anything... right now i can get a brand new Dell desktop that is reallly good for $500, so i want to stay below that, cuz im gettin a used laptop... Right. Don't buy a used notebook if you don't have to. I just have issue with Dell - but it's just me. As mentioned, a Core Duo notebook is definitely going to be the best bang-for-the-buck choice. However you are going to have to spend a few hundred more dollars to get there. Think around $700-$900. The best advice I can give you is to not cheap out on a notebook like you would a desktop. Notebooks are much more difficult, or impossible (besides RAM, fixed disks) to upgrade and generally you will keep them for much longer than a desktop system. Make an investment and get the best computer you can reasonably afford. You're not alone in having an issue with Dell ...Buying a used notebook is usually not a great idea ... x2 on what Effendi said, when you get a notebook, you should get one that can do everything you need it to do now and what you will need it to do for the next few years. It isn't something that is easily upgradable, nor is it something that's easily fixable either if you get one that uses cheap-ass parts. I'd say that, unless you can come up with another $200-$300 for your budget, that you shouldn't even bother getting a notebook at this point in time ... If you cannot afford to get a decent one, you shouldn't even get one at all because it will just be a waste of money ... If you're set on only spending $500, then I'd just go with a desktop ... If you already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and printer, you can get a half-decent rig for $500 ...

Actually, Centrino "technology" has 3 requirements:1) A "speed-stepping" CPU such as the Pentium M, Core Solo, or Core Duo 2) An Intel motherboard 3) An Intel wireless network adapter At this point in time, I would go with a Core Duo processor. They get just as good battery life but give better performance (MUCH better performance in some applications) at a small premium. Refurbished ... laptop ... Think about that for a second ... Now slap yourself for considering it ... As for the Celeron, it's the worst processor line ever ...

Today was great ... Hectic day at work, got in an argument with the head boss, that was great ... My friend got in a huge car accident last night, totalled his car, he's in the hospital right now with non-life threatening injuries but his friend was airlifted to Vancouver with possibly life-threatening injuries. My friend was completely at fault (took a corner too fast, single car accident) and only has $300,000 in liability, so if the worst happens, he's screwed for sure ... He bought a Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo back in April, which I knew was a bad idea. In fact, before he even bought it, I bet him $100 that he would crash it before the summer ended. Unfortunately, I was right. Within a month of owning it, he lost his license for 2 months for dangerous driving. In addition to that, he's crashed every car he's ever owned, but the fastest car he previously had ever owned was a 135 hp, 2900 lb Toyota Celica ... Putting him behind the wheel of a 320 hp, 3800 lb Stealth wasn't a good idea, obviously ...

Well, I went out to Burnaby for the week to see my GF and got back last night ... After the camping trip we had a couple weekends ago, we got back together and decided to do the long distance thing. I had a lot of fun this week and it really seems like our rekindled relationship is going well. It's just too bad that I'm here 90% of the time and miserable without her except when I'm going out with other girls, which I can't do now that I'm back together with her ... Morals and long-distance relationships are gay ...
