Trying out the new Apple Safari for Windows ... Thoroughly unimpressed. It's much better on a Mac, that's for sure. Web pages load a lot faster in both Firefox and Opera, everything looks funny, it doesn't maximize properly, some of the sites/forums I regularly visit don't display properly, etc.

Thanks guys

After I got home today, I went to the grocery store to pick up ingredients for tacos and, while I was picking up some ground beef, the guy at the deli asked me if I wanted some free chicken. I said sure and he loaded up my cart with 3 whole, cooked chickens Free chicken FTMFW ! Now to enjoy some wrestling and chicken

Did you try scanning with Ad-Aware and Spyware Doctor as well ? http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_instal...hl=en&gl=ca

My attention is very piqued. So you can get the new one for around $750 total? I'm selling my old computer (sans the graphics card, PSU, and 320 GB HDD) for $500, the rest of the upgrades are going to cost about $750 ... I got my 8800 GTS 640 MB for $270 and 320 GB HDD for $100 back in December, so technically it brings it up to about $1100 CAD after taxes, shipping, etc. Still pretty good ...

If all goes well, I should be selling my computer at the end of the week ... Purchased for $630 after taxes (and upgrades) in April 2006, selling for $500 June 2007 ... In other words, it cost me $10/month to run it ... Current gaming computer: AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ (2 GHz) Stock Cooler MSI RS482M4 (MS-7191) Motherboard 4 x 512 MB Corsair Value Select PC-3200 DDR Memory Foxxconn MicroATX Case AcePower 520 Watt Power Supply (Keeping, selling with original 400 Watt Hipro PSU) XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB Graphics Card (Keeping) 200 GB Seagate 7200.8 ATA100 Hard Drive 320 GB Seagate 7200.10 SATA2 Hard Drive (Keeping) BenQ DW-1650 DVD Burner Lite-On DVD-ROM (Keeping) Windows XP Media Center Edition Next computer is going to be: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 CPU (aiming for 3.5 GHz on air, will probably be between 3.2 - 3.4 GHz) Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Tower Cooler + Scythe S-Flex 120 mm Fan Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 rev. 3.3 Motherboard 2 x 1 GB OCZ Platinum XTC PC2-8500 DDR2 Memory Gigabyte Poseidon Case (Black) Silverstone ST50EF 500 Watt Power Supply XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB Graphics Card 320 GB Seagate 7200.10 SATA2 Hard Drive Lite-On DVD Burner (Undecided on exact model) Lite-On DVD-ROM Windows Vista Ultimate OEM I'm moving my AcePower 520 Watt PSU that's in my current gaming PC to my media center PC and the Antec 350 watt PSU that's currently in my media center PC into my bedroom PC. The AcePower is a nice PSU, but it just doesn't have good enough voltage regulation for me to feel comfortable overclocking with it. Also, the Silverstone is a lot more efficient, which means less heat. After selling my computer, I should be able to complete the upgrade for around $250 after taxes and shipping ...

Things I learned from that video: 1) Women are retarded. 2) Women suck at fighting. 3) Fat girls wear sweaters when hot girls wear bikinis.

Okay, well, date #2 never happened ... Her recent ex-BF suprised her at her new job w/ flowers and apologized for everything he ever did, blah blah blah, and now they're "trying to work things out." Serves me right for being a pussy and not kissing her on the first date LOL In other relationship news, I got back together with my ex ...

Went out on my first date since the break up tonight ... We both had a good time, good conversation, watched an alright movie, etc. but I just couldn't bring myself to kiss her at the end ... Sort of ended up in an awkward "Soo ...." moment ... then she brought out her camera and wanted to get a picture of us together where I probably should've kissed her there as well ... Weird thing was I didn't do it because I felt guilty ... Oh well, we still set up another date for next week, this time a little more intimate, so I didn't completely screw myself over ...

Eh, the longer this goes on, the more it benefits Canada's economy, so I vote stay until it's over ...

Well, I was over visiting the GF this weekend, sight-seeing in Vancouver with her and I was beginning to get really annoyed with my Canon S3 IS. Not that I dislike the camera, it takes great pictures, but carrying it around for 8 hours is a pain in the ass ... So, yesterday, I decided to pick up an ultra-compact to carry around with me. I found a wicked deal on a Sony DSC-W50 for $133, picked up a used 4 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo card for $20, and got a case for $4 ... All in all, pretty damn good pick up for $160 ... I've only played with it a little, but it seems to take decent indoor shots, although it took some adjustments to get good exposures indoors at night ... The movie mode is fantastic, though. Bar none, best movies from a digital camera I've seen.

I've mostly been using Opera over the last 2 or so years ... Excellent browser with tons of useful, well-implemented features ... The ONLY features I wish Opera had that Firefox has are: Real-time spell checking Real-time search Both those features are really useful. Also, I can't say I've ever had Opera freeze on me ...

w00t, my employer is now contributing an additional 50% for my RRSP this year (was 25% for 2006) and they also increased the pay-out for short-term and long-term disability (66% and 70% of my average wages respectively) and my life insurance.

Got my first credit card yesterday ... Figured it was about time I started building up some credit ... Also, I've got a 1-week vacation starting Friday

*WARNING - THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS SPOILERS* Saw Premonition w/ the GF tonight (long story, got back together, I know, I know). The movie sucked ass ... So many plot holes, so predictable, such a bad ending ... Do yourself a favour, save the $10 admission, and rent The Butterfly Effect and/or The Mothman Prophecies. It steals concepts from both movies, except it's a lot less interesting and a lot less entertaining than either. Oh and Ford heavily invested in product placement with every vehicle being a Ford and one of the main characters working at, suprise, a Ford dealership. Oh yeah, I love the PSA from Ford at the end, too, showing how reliable their cars are when you need them the most. Some of the plot holes were so blatant, that I even commented out loud about them. Basically, the wife (Bullock) starts the day on Thursday, where she takes her daughters to school, later finds out her husband died in an accident, blah blah blah. Then she starts experiencing days from other days in the week in random order. Anyways, you find out that her daughter ran through a plate glass window on Tuesday and was horribly cut up on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday ... But, miraculously, her cuts disappeared for the opening day of Thursday !!! LOL I can't sleep ...

You give people too much credit ... The majority of people are oblivious to their surroundings and the effects of their actions ...

Weak, got called in to work on my day off ... This sucks ...

Meh, already made my decision ... Besides, she has a kid ...

Organizing an apartment takes way longer than expected ... I've been slowly chipping away at it for like 2 weeks ... I have a day off today and I really feel like I should get this done and over with, but my friend wants to take me clothes shopping and then go see 300 with her.

Anyone remember when Ice Cube used to be a gangsta ? Now he's just some shitty b-rate children's movie star ...

Just realized clocks go forward tonight ... Working on Sunday is bad enough, let alone with an hour less of sleep Been saving up quite a bit of money ... Depending on how much money I have at the end of the summer, I may buy a new car or a house/condo ... I've been trying really hard lately to only buy stuff that I absolutely need or that I will use on a regular basis. I'm also only buying new electronics when my old ones break ... Good job on the break up, Tom ... My ex wrote some pretty nasty stuff about me in her blog after I broke up with her, too ... Weird thing happened to me today ... A girl I know asked me if I wanted to go see her BF's rock concert (she's dating a guitarist), so I said sure because she got free tickets ... I went expecting that she invited all of her friends, but it was just me and her ... It was very awkward to dance with her when her BF was on stage watching her grind up against me ... Although his band sucks ass, so I guess it's just karma ...
