I have a guy who competes who installed my last set up so i know the install will be good. but maybe ill do big 3, get a 300 amp alt and a kinetik 2400.

I am looking into purchasing a 15" DC level 4 XL or AA Mayhem. If I choose the DC, I have two wiring options. I have a 2400 watt amp at 1 ohm and 1700 at 2 ohms. How much difference does wiring a sub at 2 ohms make vs wiring it at 1 ohm? Would 1700 watts at 2 ohms be enough to get the DC going or should I just stick to 1 ohm?

I love SQ but I want to bump pretty hard as well. I like feeling it in my ears lol and having blurred vision when they're really goin! But what would be the difference in a 15 and a 12 besides more cone area?

Well I've tried to look up certain things and I've read that 15's can drop lower than 12's and 18's drop lower than 15's. I'm kinda new at all this I've only had one system before and it got destroyed in a wreck (two RE SX12's) but to keep costs down I'm just gonna go with a 15. And I've read that wiring 2 ohm gives a righter bass response. I would love some clarification on things things so I'm pretty much learning as I ask new questions lol but what do you mean by "output" in your last post?

And idk if I should do sub up/port back or sub back/port back

I listen to rap mostly and occasional rock. I like deep low notes which is why I wanna do a 15. I just don't know what the difference in sound would be between 1 ohm and 2 ohm wiring. I'm looking into getting a 2011 scion tC or another car around that size

So which setup would be the better route? 2 ohms or 1 ohm for the lvl 4XL? Or mayhem? How big of an alt would I need for 2400 watts? Or alt and battery

Ok, so I am trying to decide between a couple of options here. I have a Hifonics BRZ2400.1D amp but do not know how to properly upgrade my electrical for that amount of power. Ideally, I would do the least amount of upgrades as possible since these set ups can get pricey lol any help with that would be amazing! Also, I will either be using Fi Q 15's or Fi BL 12's (both dual 1's). I am leaning towards getting a Scion tC, but I am unsure if a 7.0 cuft box will fit in the cargo space without folding the seats down and if two Fi Q 15's or two FI BL 12's would be an overkill setup in the tC. I will not be upgrading the component speakers anytime soon so would I still be able to hear the words in the tC? The other vehicle options would be a Scion xB or even a Honda Accord sedan or civic coupe. I listen to like 85% rap and the rest rock and reggae and even some dubstep occasionally. I have been looking around online to find owner's opinions on the SQ of the BL and the output of the Q. My old set up was two RE SX 12's powered by a Hifonics BXi1610D on a stock 100A alt and nothing else. The goal is to be louder with equal or better SQ. I will also need to find a nice ported enclosure for these pups. For the cars, idk what will fit in what trunk so idk whether to do sub up port back or sub back port back. HELP!!

So, pretty much, xB would be the way to go for two 15's? I am not really going for horsepower, got a lead foot anyways haha but can anyone guide me on a decision about which of the two subs would fit my needs best? Bc knowing what setup I want will also help me decide which car i get. I have heard that the Q doesnt have enough output for a basshead but has nothing short of amazing SQ and drops reeeaal low. How about the higher notes? If I choose the 15" Q's, will they supply around the same or more output as the 12" BL's? And the BL I have heard it has amazing output still sounding ok. I guess, all in all, the real question would be will two 15"Q's "bump" as hard as 12" BL's and will I sacrifice a lot on the higher notes with the 15's? With the xB, I will be doing sub up port back with either setup. And how about electrical? I have never installed my own so I have no clue what upgrades will be enough :-/

I am looking into getting a pair of FI BL 12" dual 1 ohm subs for daily use. I will be using either a 2100 watt rms amp or a 2400 watt rms amp. Or, should I go with more power? I know for certain that I will be getting the daily, p chamfer and hyper pole options. I am unsure about the cooling, extreme lead and flatwind options. I have heard that the cooling option will decrease the power of the driver and also, that the flatwind coil is a no-no for daily applications. Is this true? Now, for the amp dilemma, should I go with 2100 or 2400? If i used 2100, I will not get all the above options I previously mentioned, just p chamfer and prob hyper pole. If i go 2400, I will get them pretty much fully loaded. I know these subs are beastly so I am unsure of which route to go. Whichever route I end up taking, I will be upgrading to a 220 amp alternator. Can someone tell me whether or not I should upgrade my battery (and which one if I need to) or should I just get a kinetik power cell? I am trying to go with the least expensive electrical upgrades possible. And with the box, should I do sub and port up? Or, sub and port back? The car will be either a scion xB or tC (2008 or newer). The cargo area of the tC has 12.8 cu ft. I also looked at one earlier today and it seemed to have enough room. My last box was about 36in long, 18in front to back and 15in tall for my RE SX 12's. I'm not sure what the box was tuned to as I bought it already built from the shop down the street from my house. The box for the BL's will be custom built to Fi's recs (33Hz and somewhere between 1.8-2.5 cu ft but I dont know how big I should get it built...and dont really know how to decide either lol and what about the batt? would I be ok with leaving the stock batt in front and upgraded batt in back near amp? And I dont even know what model batt to choose lol I plan on having this setup for a while so I wanna make it be optimal.

So, I will probably still get the 2400 anyways just so I can swang my dick saying I have 1200 going into each instead of 1050 when people ask me how much power am I using for them haha esp since not very many of my friends know too much about this stuff. If I get the xB, I will be doing subs up port back. If I do tC, I will have subs back and port back, or maybe even sub up port back. Any advice on the tC option? Would anyone have an idea of which vehicle these would sound better in? I am referring to the least amount of car rattle bc my last car was a 09 camry and there was a lot of rattling bc the entire rear deck was plastic. The tC's cargo area is not sealed away from the cabin so i figure there wont be too much rattle anyways. And also, with the battery, should I leave my stock batt in the front and put the new batt (prob deka or powermaster; although, I am unsure of which model of theirs to get) in the back near the amp?? And, like I said, I will be putting a 220 amp alt in.

I would suggest first monitoring your voltage for drops to see where you'll need the upgrades.. As for batteries it will depend on your car.. For a rear battery whilst leaving your front In would be either a deka 9A31 or a xs power d3200 Are those two better than the kinetiks? And pretty much, I would be good doing the big 3, 220 amp alt and either one of those batteries/power cells in the rear next to the amp? And what about the sub up port up/sub back port back/sub up port back layout??
