First off let me say i'll be totally honest and say i had very low hopes for this sub, as the previous owner had already told me what he thought about it. I bought this sub for the price of $40 dollars form him without a dustcap, contacted Scott and he was kind enough to send me a dustcap for the sub. I tested this sub in a in a sealed off trunk of a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro The test Equipment was: Alpine 9835 kenwood entry level 6.4 coaxials Kenwood entry level 6x9s All speakers inside cabin running from deck power Sub amp MTX 500d ( i know its over the RMS of the sub, buti honestly wanted to see if it would take over the RMS and the only other amps i have are 2k RMS and above) The box i decided to build for it was a ported enclosure consisting of 1.3 cubes net 19sq in of port and tuned to 33hz. The first listen was in the camaro, and i was very curprised at what i heard. I putin some 38 special (classic rock) and the sub was very responsive to the quick drum beats of the rock genre, Next i tryed Journey - Who's crying now i honestly myself as a "high dollar sub owner" couldnt believe the amount of sound coming from a little cheap 10, it was very acurate and loud for what was playing. Welli thought to myself, "well it sounds great on rock music, i bet rap is where it falls off" well it surprised me once again, it went though the whole Young Jeezy album (The Inspiration), Bass Mekanik - Quad maxximus-,and E-40 - my ghetto report card albums with flying colors. the dustcap did rise just a bit over room temp but i was slamming the crapout of it over RMS. my only letdown, is that its not loud enough for me, buti think its more just me being used to more, i cant expect the world out of a 350RMS sub. through the frequency ranges in the Camaro setup it seemed to shine from 30-48ish hz, over and under the volume was slightly decreased but not enough to make me frown upon the sub. Overall for my personal listening if i was looking for a 10" substage i would seriously consider this sub if you want somethign clean sounding for a great price, $119 i believe is what Scott told me they go for. If you want somethign loud i would say either buy multiples of these or look higher up in the Fi library of subs.

Over the last 2 days i have been working on a box for my 18 XXX, well the owner of the Q and i decided to try out the Q in the box, it's specs are as follows 6.4 internal net 30hz 110sq in port it cleaned up the sound of the sub alot IMO but i lost about 15 percent of the volume, also the sub wasnt really able to handle as much power, had to run at just about RMS rather then the about 1400 that the Hifonics 1606d gave in his box. heres some pics of the box, i would have took some of the sub in the box but kids didnt permit me to stay out playing long as they were acting up.

just noticed , sorry this is in the wrong section, can a mod please move to the correct location.

looks nice, oda probably double baffled and/or used some bracing in the box. also where i live i cant have amps all in the open like that, but the score seems pretty nice for a 1k RMS single sub, good work.

if your asking about price the AX3000de (discontinued) i believe retails at around 3 grand
-
so if i am to run an ax3000de, what would be the ideal alt? 300amp or 220amp would be enough? if you can afford it 300amp, but also make sure to upgrade your wiring and batteries as well

looks pretty decent, id expect alot from 6K RMS + though

Alpine 9835 kenwood entry level 6.4 coaxials Kenwood entry level 6x9s MTX 4212 speaker amp Sub amp MTX 500d 1.3 cube 33hz box was basically somethign i bought in order to check out another Fi sub (previus experience with Q 15s and 18s) and to put together somethign cheap for my father somethign to listen to only have pics of the batt terminals, RCAs sub and box but its something. Well today i recieved the Dustcap for the Fi X 10 i was going to write a review on, (thanks Scott) and went out to the garage to glue her on so i can get some listening in tomorrow. Welli get out there and my CA glue is rock solid, i havent used it in probably a year so i guess it was time for it to harden up. So i guess i gotta wait now til i can make it down to Hobbytown or somethign to get some glue, as i dotn wanna play it at all without the dustcap because that wont be a "fair" review. Thanks again for the dustcap and the decals Scott, i'll be sure to post up my thoughts when i get it together finally lol. Also whats the price a Fi X 10 goes for normally so i can know what to assume for the price.
