b00sted replied to irvin productionz's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
dont think so... its a 91 civic the only thing my alternator has is a plug with a bunch of wires going into it... and then a stud with a wire that goes to the battery. -

alright so i have a cheap walmart wet cell battery under the hood.... now i bought i xs power d3100 to run my amps off of in the trunk.... can i wire the 2 batteries parallel together or should i just run them seperate to the alternator ?? if i should run them seperate how should i do it ?? i wasnt sure if i could run them together since one is a wet cell while the other is a dry cell. i wanna run my cars electrical off of the walmart battery and the amps off of the d3100.

awesome sounds good thanks bro -
are you talking about the BTL N2 or N3 ?? yes the N3 is a SPL only sub and made for competition... the N2 from what i read is a daily sub with a mix between SPL and SQ ... just like the ZCON i say run the BTL N2 in a 6-8 cubic feet box tuned to 28-31hz... that shit will hit LOW.

As far as batteries I am not a big fan of Kinetik. This is just from my experience with them so don't write that in stone. A lot of people have had good experiences with them. So that being said Kinetik uses the wattage that the battery will support as the item numbers meaning the HC2400 is said to be able to support 2400 watts as an extra batt so from what they say 1 of those for each amp will be fine. I would personally buy 3. XS is well known for their product but just as an FYI the D3100 is said to be able to support 4000 watts as an extra batt. These depend on your budget. NSB makes some really strong batts as well as Remy batts which make the Deka 9A31's so those are options also. DC Power would be my recommendation for your alt if you can afford it. They're great. I have 2 of the 270XP's but only have one on my truck right now (still waiting on the bracket for the 2nd one) and it is charging 5 XS Power D3100's with no issues at all (one under the hood and 4 in back). While driving I don't even drop below 14V with 5K running on it. So yes I would definitely recommend DC for your alt but all of this is based on your budget. Speaker wire: 8 gauge or bust. awesome thanks for answering my questions you ever have any turbo questions let me know lol -
