We have had a couple of packages returned from shipping CA lately. Dont need shipping issues. Not too mention that people fume up CA all the time and kind of make a mess of things. We have found that telling people to head on over to the HD/Lowes and pick up a tube of epoxy works better. It has a very thouough cure and we havent had any issues with people reconing or repairing with it. Not too mention that it is what we use in the field to have a through fast cure to get a sub rolling again ASAP in competitions. Thanks, Scott

Yes, I do know those subs (as well as all the other current ones). We rated them at 1000W RMS (Id uese 800-1000 with them). So somewhere around there would be fine. 135sqin (depending on how it is oriented) will kill of 2.5+ cuft of enclosure... really bringing you into diminishing returns. Going back some to about 100sqin will be a little mroe realistic and end up netting you about 7 cuft at 35 Hz. Should work well with that.

"DRU" noted... sorry Ill change it as well. Chad, twisting my arm on a public forum will get you nowhere...lol. OK nevermind Ill add them for everyone then Ill call you in a little bit Shawn, but email me with a list of the "others" I need to take care of for this shirt order... thanks.

You can send the sub in for repair, or I can send you out some lead wire and a dust cap to replace it with yourself. What enclosure are you running and if it is ported, where is your subsonic filter set? Well get you taken care of ASAP. Thanks, Scott

OK.... back and sorting through all the emails. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE A SHIRT FOR THIS PROMO...] To everyone that helped, many thanks. To those that havent received a shirt yet, let me know and thanks for the patience. Scott

I think I got you on email on this one already... Thanks, Scott

I am not 100% sure on the ETA on the mids. We change a couple of small things on them and that has added a little bit of time. AA is focused on getting the subs out first (and trudging through the comedy of errors in getting the first run of new parts in and rolling). Then we will move into the mids, then comps and lower line coaxs. Thanks, Scott

The pair of 15" SSDs will be louder than the other two options. But they will eat up quite a bit more space as well. If you can deal with the extra space being used, then that will be the loudest option of those mentioned. Thanks, Scott

Burps are using sine waves, but you used a sine wave "sweep" from 10 -100 Hz to try and find your peak. On a TL it should have sampled long enough to find a good peak value, but then again, it might not have. Do you remember what the loudest frequency it was during the sweep? Thanks, Scott

Plenty of people manning the fort, but I really didnt have an easy way of getting to emails for orders (and I dont allow others at the shop to take care of the email/order side of things with customers). Looking over the build log, your sub is done, and will ship on Monday. I was unable to "update" the build log remotely due to security measures with our processor. I am now updating all orders as well as diving head first into the 300+ emails from last week. Sorry for the delay Thanks, Scott

Gladly send you out a new set of leads and a dustcap. Please send me an email to [email protected] (you might have already as Im currently going through the 300+ from being MIA last week). As for heavier leads??!?!? BTLs use the heaviest stuff I have reallly run across. Ill send you out a couple of different things and then we can go over the options with them. Thanks, Scott

Looking really nice! Please keep us posted when you get a chance to finish it up... and get a little more time with the sub:) Thanks, Scott

Hmmm... not sure what or where that one came from. I mustve sent out a recone kit for something as I havent had any of those baskets in my posession in a long time... Thanks, Scotts phone

Im happy with my sealed SSDs in one of daily apps. They sound great and give me plenty of output... your mileage may vary Thanks, Scotts phone

Depends on what year version HC it is. Some I can change with Q coils, others can only use the HC coil (which I stock). Thanks, Scotts phone

WOW! Makes me wish I had something loud and low. But for some reason I like them quiet and lifted Thanks for the link. Ill keep an eye on this one. Can you have it finished in a couple of days...lol Ill be in FL shortly. Thanks, Scott

Sure... I can tweak things even a little further along in that direction as well. But for most IB apps... displacement is king. Shoehorn as large of subs as you can in there... I had a pair of 15s in an Accord IB for my wife a few years back. Sounded clean and played decently loud for having 95% of the trunk useable. Thanks, Scott

good mids/highs speakers and componenets
Fi Car Audio replied to truckaudioman's topic in General Fi
While I normally would agree... finding (or fitting) a single mid/midbass that can keep up with the sub section he is thinking about simply isnt going to happen. A pair of mids usually isnt much of an issue if on the same plane and close together. I cant think of any install I have done where it has been an issue, but I could see where it would/could be. I am finding more and more people that are foregoing a spot on sound stage for more output. It is tougher to get them both. At that point having good clean sound Id say for this install is more important than a razor sharp sound stage. This is one output oriented. -

A wee bit pricey with the Rainbows. Im fond of the AA 6.5 mids, but we wont have more of those to go around for a little while. For the money, they simply cant be beat. I use them in just about everything. I really like Kickers ss30 tweeters. They are some of the nicest I have heard and used in a while. It seems that the good old Vifa car tweeter is now discontinued... Seas got rid of their good one this year as well... -
Manilla folder is the standard... add tape in even layers at multiple points if it is too thin. Either electrical or scotch. Cheap and easy. Get it snug, but not so that you have to really push on it to get it in... or often it wont want to come back out.
