Id say no. I personally dont like the fully laoded BTLs off that much power... how much space does he have to work with? Also, please note that those are rather strong amps... but they have a little problem in that the subsonic filter is preset to 28Hz at a shallow 12dB/oct. If you are tuned above 30Hz, I would advise you to get an add on filter to augment this... most have been using the Harrison labs adjustable F-mod with good results. Its a solid margin of safety for $35... given that with 3500W things can go bad fast under tuning. Thanks, Scott

Thanks for the order... had a couple BL 15s in the past 2-3 days so Im not sure which is yours, but Im sure itll be out to you ASAP. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

I cant seem to find a phone number... please either email so I can call, or if you still have the number please give me a call. Sub is done but I have a question. Thanks, Scott

HAHAHA... no kidding. Man I really need to get on all the search engines. We only come up when you type in "Fi Car Audio"... and not for anything else. Im a newb for that stuff... need to get someone to show me how. Although if anyone did decide to search a forum instead of asking the same question 400 times, I dont think that would be the go to answer it is. Being the brunt of a joke still creates site hits though

Bass Boom Bottom FI 15"BL in the Trunk..Video
Fi Car Audio replied to zaxfire69's topic in General Fi
Nice. Hows it "sound" when played at a normal level (assuming thats not a normal level)? Love the "passenger". Do they let you in the carpool lane with him? Keep us posted. -
Well I stick to my guns with ratings. Standard SSD is 800W... seem to do great with that. Flatwind hops things up to 1000W... "similar" soft parts to another sub I built for many years and those have always worked well at that. Now with the BP option, that changes things. We have seen 200-500W increases with that... Thanks, Scott

LOL... it was easy. You had a chunk of tofu attached to a string and I wandered off after it...
-
Still a solid score! Yeah those Qs and SSDs are gateway drugs for those in Florida. Not sure what it is about FL, but they all get hooked and step on up

Devildriver... didnt see you sneak in that response. NDA my friend, no one was to know that I work for you

Wow... havent seen that one. Terminals are normally glued on as well as screwed and are really a PITA to get off without breaking them if we need them off. Ill have to see tomorrow how close the inner packing box comes to the terminals and if they could have pushed on it in shipping (just a hunch). Options on how to handle it are up to you. If youd like it repaired or replaced, its a non-issue. If you think you can pop it back in place with some epoxy or glue, Ill gladly give you a "get out of jail free" card on a recone or any sort of non-warranty repair, send you a shirt.... Let me know what would be the most convenient way for you to have this remedied and we will take care of it immediately. Thanks, Scott

Funny thing is, I have dealt with Roger MANY times over the years. At the end of the day, realtively no one knows who Fi is and RE is a much bigger name. Im sure 99 out of 100 searchs would be for RE vs Fi, so it makes sense to put it. What can I say...lol

Fi is a direct only company. I will not have dealer/distributor accounts here. It would simply be impossible for a dealer to stock all the varieties of options/subs that we have. We like the direct approach with Fi. It keeps us closer to the customers and allows us to meet their needs better. As for pricing... these are far from "introductory" prices. I am not one for presales, introductory prices, or other things. I price things to what I feel is fair for the customer and for Fi as a company. Im not sure if you saw us start, but we kind of popped out of no where. We didnt spend months spamming the net. When product was ready to be built, we let people know we were there... of course that lead to a slow start, but Id rather be stocked and ready to roll, than take money and have nothing to ship. Coming up in Sept Fi has been open for a year... in that time we have seen an averaged 10% increase in parts cost, an bigger increase in shipping costs (which we include in the price as well), and other such unavoidable expenditure increases, but none of which have made it to the consumers prices. We try our hardest to keep things stable and absorb the increases as best we can. This is not to say that we wont ever increase prices... obviously if things go up continually, we will have to do something. But it will be relative to inflation, not random. Hopefully this sounds reasonable and makes sense... if not, well... I tried Thanks, Scott

AHAHAHAHA, um no. I used to own RE, but sold my half of it in Jan 2006. I am not affiliated, nor is Fi with RE.

Received my SX 15" recone kit today!, but i forgot to ask for
Fi Car Audio replied to fbi90909's topic in General Fi
We have customers pick up 2 part 15-20 minute epoxy from Home Depot/Lowes. Its what we use in the field for SPL recones that need to be run immediately after. It doesnt fume and setups up just as strong as CA. Its cheap and we dont have to worry about hazmat issues in shipping. Thanks, Scott -
Yes you can. The Brahma 12" 12 spoke is the same basket we use on the 12" Fi subs.

Scott: How much to recone Re Audio SX15 ??
Fi Car Audio replied to Roger.stone64's topic in General Fi
Yes, that did just change. The Fi coils are larger in OD than the original RE coils, and I no longer have the original RE coils for them (they can no longer be made due to a wire flattening ratio issue). But I do now have a D2 flatwind that will work for them (and is a little longer with more Xmax as well). Roger... I know I have an email from you somewhere... Ill try to find it and email you the price. Or, if you get a chance send one to [email protected] and Ill get one back. Thanks, Scott -
Im assuming you are in HI? Looking like $25 via USPS priority (the least expensive method I could find) plus $30 for it to be reconed. Kind of rough $$$ wise considering how cheap Chad used to sell them for... sorry

The SSD definitely has a warranty. Please send it back to us at: Fi Car Audio Attn: Warranty 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 Please be sure to include a sheet of paper with your name, address, phone, and email so that we can get back in touch with you once its received. Thanks, Scott

Checking to see if you received the email. I cant remember if it was sent last night or this morning. TUV is VERY tough on cars over there. Being from Southern California I spent my younger years building lots of air cooled VWs. Towards the end, Germans were heading to the US to pick up older ones as they were getting harder and harder to find in Germany due to TUV restrictions (a small rust hole through the floor gets your car pulled, and there are MANY restrictions on fixing things like that... heck its a VW they all rust ) Thanks, Scott

Yep we do... and its repaired and will dry over the weekend. I will add the extra dustcap to stick over the other sub as well (in an attempt to make them look similar). Thanks and have a good weekend.

No problem. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks...

The space you have will net you 8 cuft with a single slot port to one side that is 14.5" X 7" and 27" long (tuned to 30 Hz). Itll make for a solid deep daily setup. You can do a central port, but it will separate the box into a pair of enclosures vs a common one with a side port (for aesthetics you could do a pair of side ports as well). Do you need a cut sheet? If so I can get you one tonight. Thanks, Scott

Glad it arrived and is working well. Please keep us all posted with numbers and pics if you have them Thanks, Scott
