Yes we can recone them. We have all the correct parts except for the dustcap. We will send out a blank one, but if you are good, you can pull the original and reglue it. Im sure I still have some of those 18" baskets collecting dust somewhere on a pallet... havent used them for OEM in a while. Let me know your zip code and I can get you a shipped quote for it. Thanks, Scott

Wouldnt have figured that given the coil and former size that it would heat up to that extent... Ill have to test with 70W of power to one on the bench and see what the thermal rise time is for it (Do it with DC as it would be a worst case scenario). Easier to test than pulling out the old thermo books...lol Thanks, Scott

Way more than a sore subject... but its working itself out. As for business... doing well, very well in fact. As mentioned above I am focusing the company on dealers and so far they have been loving it. We have picked up 8 foreign distribs and are working with 3 more for their opening orders right now. Fi gets lots of dealer inquiries and I have simply been pushing dealers away from Fi (as things are direct only with little room for margins) towards AA. They like the products and pricing and have been happy with things. Im sure that when the site gets going that things will pick up even faster from there too... Stupid site

Got the email and address. Ill change the next one to that. Thanks...

Let me know your zip and I can get you a shipped quote for one. Thanks, Scott

If we do... youll see it on the web when its available. We dont say much about what we are working on until its ready to ship. Im not one for months of spam and hype over products. Id rather it just pop up and be good to go.

30Hz will work. They also have an adjustable one with 4 or 5 settings (also with 30 Hz). Only issue with the Harrison as a stand alone is the shallow filter (12dB per octave). When used with some of the other amps with preset 28 and 25Hz filters (RF and Kicker) that are 12dB they work well as an eliptical filter. 2 Hz off from 32 to 30 will be good considering its 12 dB. Rather it be 24... but not the case. No one really seems to make a stand alone subsonic filter... easy enough to do, but nothing really out there.

No call from them yet, but Im sure I will hear something tomorrow. Seemed rather odd to me, but Im glad they found out the real deal. Sub will be finished in a day or two and we will get it out to you. Thanks for dealing with UPS and their BS.

Ill leave this one to others. I cant even remember what a 3000 is at this point motor wise... even though I am rather unbiased with my opinions

Tuning and the subsonic filter are key in most applications. We have people with more power, but know the limits and have things dialed in correctly. At the same time we hav epeople with 2000W tuned to 45 with their subsonic filters off or too low that kill subs mechanically when they try to play some ultra low bass tracks and the subs try to jump out of the baskets. Set up is key. I wish we had 20 more Nicks... he is small enough to send in the BTL crate (with a little food of course) so that he can tweak the knobs and dial things in. Then youd just send him back and we would shoot him out to the next customer Sorry Nick... one can dream

Im sure I got back to you via email for this one Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks, Scott

We normally recommend 12-16 sqin of port per cuft of enclosure. This is a general rule of thumb and is not set in stone. Obviously higher power higher excursion applications need more than a low power low excursion setup (which can use even less than what we recommend with little noise or compression). Between the two there is little difference. You wouldnt notice it as much as you might in radiusing the edges inside and out on the ports. Either one would do fine. Thanks, Scott
-
First one seems tuned too high... might be able to block one off for a lower daily tuning. But with the copper coils 1.8 cuft is fine. Only issue is that we dont know the tuning of that enclosure either Id hate for you to get something tuned to 45Hz and loose a good portion of the bottom end of things. We will gladly help you design an enclosure if you want to have someone else make it as well... although the last box is rather cheap. Thanks, Scott

We definitely can, but have you contacted SSA first to see if they can help you?
-
I dont know You would need equipment of one sort or another to do it. I guess a shunt resistor, a test disk and a multimeter could do it. But really you dont need it. I would calculate things the same as based off of the orignal versions (enclosure and tuning have nothing to do with the sub, only the final response). You might have a slight peak difference, but you would need to test for that for an SPL setup anyway. Isnt really an issue, but I do not have specs based off of the mods we made to your subs. Sorry. Thanks, Scott

SX15 kit in D1 or D2 with basket, gasket, and terminals would be $127 shipped to you. Yes the standard leads we use are the MT sized ones, bigger than the SE and SX leads. Thanks, Scott
-
Really looking at like 12 cuft as a minumum... Im sure you could fit that, but it would have to be built in the trunk.
-
Yes, as you increase port sizing or length you loose useable airspace in the enclosure. Rather quickly you hit diminishing returns and run into problems. 5.38 tuned to 35Hz isnt too bad. Since its done, Id run it and see how it goes. We can tweak things from there after break in and depending on what you want to change (if anything). As BKOLO4 mentioned, you could simply cut the port down to 4X21.5 and shorten it to the correct length for tuning and the new net volume with less port displacement as well... but try it as is first if its not difficult to do so. Thanks, Scott

icpurplepplalot..... $13.40 to ship the kit. Email [email protected] if youd like to place an order for one. We will get you taken care of. 1loudhnda... not too much we can do to an MT kit... we can change up the suspension, but the gaps are too tight to do anything with and we simply cant machine on it as it is already assembled and magnetized. Sorry...

Yes we can accept international credit cards as long as the name and address on the card are the same as shipping. We can not accept them through the site directly, but will have to process it separately. I believe I saw an email from you this morning and I will check and reply to it with the info on how to contact us or go about ordering. Thanks, Scott

Posted on other topic... got off the phone with them and they are still in the investigation/trace stage of things. But we have since started a new sub for you and will get it out when it is finished. Do you have another address that we can ship it too? Hopefully it will be a different driver as he is very suspect to me in siging for it. Thanks, Scott

OK... found the info. Extra $59.90 for a triple stack BTL18 sent via USPS priority (2-3 day service) with insurance and signature confirmation. Extra $35.55 for a 18" BL Thanks, Scott

Wakeup... Just got off the phone with UPS for your (and another lost package) to get an update. They are still running their trace and inquiry on the pakcage, but we have since started to build another sub for you and will ship it out to you when it is finsihed. To be on the safe side, is there another location that we can send the package to? Hopefully with a different driver as this one is suspect to me Danracer... Man, let me read back through this one and see if I can get all the info I need. Not sure what happened, but I do remember 2 conversations with Nick about a quote and forwarding that to you as well (I am 99% sure it was for you). Post back in a minute...
