We normally machine the motors to a specific tolerence for each coil. As the coils do vary in OD, you cant stick a D2 High Xmax coil in the D1 gap. But with this option we machine things for the largest OD coil and this allows you to recone to any size without issue. On the ame note, a slight decrease in motor strength sometimes increases overall SPL with the BTLs for daily applications...less saddle shaped response curve. Thanks, Scott

We do ship to Canada, but we dont have a shipping guide in place for it... we are working on getting it going for products to AK,HI, and Canada so you can simply order off the site and not have to deal with emails. In the meantime, as mentioned above, send us an email with what you are interested in ordering and your address and we can get you a quote and the balance of ordering info. Thanks, Scott

Epic is Chads new company and is really starting to make some waves in the audio community. With some amazing products and stellar reviews, things are taking off fast for his new company. I have known and worked with Chad for a few years now and over that time have become good friends. AA was started with a focus in the DIY home audio community, but with the solid products and support that was quickly eclipsed by the sales to the car audio crowd. After a long run Chad had decided to bring his focus back to what he knows and loves best, home audio... and Epic was born. With that I had a phenominal opportunity to bring Ascendant into the Fi/FTIndustries fold and we changed the focus from the direct/net market to a dealer based one. At first it was a VERY gradual change and slow in getting things set up... but has been rapidly accelerating with dealers/distributors world wide and an ever growing dealer base in the US. Keep looking out for AA... we are stepping things up over the next couple of months... Thanks, Scott

Yep, they do... but as mentioned you have to do some silly stuff to them to get them to break. We are constantly tweaking things to ensure the best $$$ to performance ration we can. I definitley underrate everything to make sure that we dont have any issues... Welcome to the site Thanks, Scott

Ill reforward the email to you, but with shipping via USPS it is $107.60 Thanks, Scott

Yes, we made a running change to the full Fi lineup. Normally dont mention upgrades or changes as they are all backwards compatible. But it seems people noticed this one versus glue or machining changes. Thanks, Scott

None that I know of. But if you post up rough dims we will gladly design an enclosure for your application. Thanks, Scott

$25 plus return shipping. Need it recone at the same time or just repaired?

Yes, the D1 coils will fit fine in the D2 gaps. The D2 gap is the "universal" gap that we machine to. Not a problem on getting a kit for that one to match another... get new leads with the kit to match the new sub as well. Thanks, Scott

They do drop pretty well... but my main concern is that the GTO doesnt have a subsonic filter on it. Which is a no-no in ported setups. You can always pick up one of the Harrison Labs adjustable filters and that will help. They are like $40. Only issue is that the pair of HPs will be more efficient from about 10Hz above the single BL12s tuning... although the BL will be louder around tuning. Have you thought about porting what you have? Id love to sell a sub, but would rather you get what you are looking for for less if you can. Id gladly help design one if you have the space as well. Thanks, Scott

We dont have a D4 in copper... I do have a D1 in copper if you need a 2 Ohm load out of a sub. Yes, we can fit the AA covers on them as well Thanks, Scott

Nick you got this one under control? Ill call you this morning...

On its way to you on Tuesday. Should be there shortly. Thanks...

Its a little fun getting all the leads into each terminal, but the BTL terminals do have larger holes than the standard ones. We twist and shove all 4 wires into each terminal... really technical terms there;) Leave a slight bump (meaning dont pull them tight) for a slight bit of strain relief. Solder, and trim all the excess off the bottom. A little tougher to get into the hole, but easier to get things right. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks, Scott

Theyll take the 3.000 coils just fine. We have done lots of recones with those... Gaps are large as it is. $100 per kit plus shipping. We have D.7, D1.0, D1.4, and D1.9 flatwinds that work in the gaps. Thanks, Scott

If youd like to try that route first, no worries on the warranty being void. We are pretty lax on that side of things. If not, please send the sub in to: Fi Car Audio Attn: Warranty 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 Please include a sheet of paper with your name, address, email, and phone number in the box and we will contact you when it arrives. Thanks, Scott

Yes, all subs are looking like this now... and have been for the past couple of weeks. Its a running change and we normally dont mention much about them. Simply something we do to ensure that the best $$$ value is being had if we find something that works better. We are constantly testing and making small tweaks to things to ensure that the subs are as durable as we can make them. Thanks, Scott

Ill search emails to find yours... but we can shift the FS around no problem. But in many applications for SPL, FS isnt much of an issue. The reason we stack on more spiders is for mechanical durability for extreme power applications. Often shifting coils and motor strength in lower powered setups has more to do with the peak than suspension (90% of the time). What was the failure mode on the last subs? This will help me look in different directions as well. Thanks, Scott

I havent heard anything back at all. I will see if I can find the time to go to the main USPS hub today (where the claim was filed) and see what the heck is going on with things.

Tried calling with the number you gave me, but the voicemail was full each time. You have an email and should get one from UPS tonight as well... its on its way back. Ill try calling again tomorrow.
