In reference to ScottXGTRs question "of those 4000 topics, how many are "A vs B" threads " meaning, that the answer would lie somewhere between 3 and 4000 topics... which would actually make a good question for a contest (although I surely wouldnt want to count them to know the answer). Thanks, Scott

Pezzaboi thanks for the nod in from the UK. Things are ramping up there fast. BILTD, less typing more sanding

more than 3, less than 4000. Hmmm... excellent contest

Still trudging along. Now its the hurry up and wait game for everything else to come in.

More to come from that thing. Chris just added more power to the subs... its meaner than ever. But no where near done yet. Chris might have more info on his site at www.missinglinkaudio.com as well. Thanks, Scott

I know those amps well in regards to BTLs... how were things setup? Run them in high voltage over high current. What do you have electrical wise to power it? If you have both amps, I would run them. Not an issue with the pair, but you will simply have lots of clean headroom for transients. With things to 11, and the settings up, I could see it being a problem quickly.. but if dialed correctly, I could see it working fine. There is no need for that much power to them, but since you have it. One concern is that it was louder with 1 amp vs 2... I definitely want to know what the voltage was sitting at under those conditions. That one normally doesnt add up even with compression coming into play. Thanks, Scott

Hard to beat that deal. Im sure youll be very happy with the setup. Thanks, Scott

I think Chris moved the Q to his HT setup and has a larger setup with Havocs in it now. Thanks, Scott

Did you get the email from Nicole? Not a problem, we have you covered.

No more 08 BL motors. While we still have some top plates and back plates, the magnets we used on the BLs were unique to them (25mm). We use the 20mm version on a dozen other motors we produces, and have fazed out the 25s. We can make either a few triple stacks or double stacks with the 20s. New BL is a solid step up from the old ones... so not a lateral move or waste of $$$ if you have to go to the new ones (and most know Im far from someone to push a sale if its not really worth it for a customer) Thanks, Scott

As mentioned above, if you are only going with those specific choices, the pair of BL18s will be louder. Not much of a difference with those amps and BTLs either... until you really feed the BTL more power. Thanks, Scott

Still working through the machine and tooling for cone bodies (as we are doing it all in house). And I hate to say that the 22 is not at the top of the list right now, but we have several other big projects for OEM going that are taking front stage right now. 22 and other variants will come when some of these other projects are squared away. It wont disappoint... Thanks, Scott

fifufme... OK, now I know which sub it is. Motor is back together and Im sure itll be out to you tomorrow or Thursday. Ill forward a tracker via UPS when it goes. Im not sure what the deal is with cracked magnets. We have been using the same supplier for MANY years. Nothing seems to have any sort of correlation outside of fiq15pwnsnoobs, which does interest me... where do you live? Im wondering if it is weather related. We have a current total (since we have been in business) of (4)Q, (3) BL, (2) Old BTL (3) New BTL. Which while I hate to see any failure of a part that we cant control, there has been no correlation between batches of magnets, sizes, or anything else. So 2 in one location is definitely of interest. If this doesnt work out for you, send it on back and we will take care of it. Thanks, Scott

Whats the name? Ill check on it ASAP. Thanks, Scott

You could still fit the system behind the back seats if you wanted. Sounds like our AA Hummer with 13 2400s and (6)15s. You can do 2 18s per side and port in the middle for a daily driver. We have the H2 tuned to 28 Hz... Chris wanted it to play ultra deep and wasnt as concerned with an SPL score. With the amount of power he has on them now... its brutal. Id also run the A6000s in high voltage mode. Everything is happier with that. We have a little under 30 cuft if I remember correct... shouldnt be an issue to run 7 cuft per BTL18 after port and driver and still have plenty of back wall to mount the amps on. Thanks, Scott

Definitely sorry to see that happen. Seems like from your comments that the magnet was cracked when you took it out of the box... directly lends itself to a problem with UPS in shipping. I wish that we would have know about this as we could have made a claim with UPS to get the damages covered. They must have been rather brutal with shipping as they are crated and have plenty of foam... damages are exceedingly minimal with this method. Please get the sub back to us at: Fi Car Audio 5480 Cameron St #108 Las Vegas NV 89118 Please be sure to include your name, address, phone and email so that we can get you squared away ASAP. As for the other sounds and issues... seems to be directly related to the damages that occured via UPS. Thanks, Scott

IB3s were new when that was put up there. I have so many other little things on the back burner... who knows. We have had an IB2 and an SQ2 for a while collecting dust. Just doesnt seem like either would be monster sellers. Dont want to get back into the X series. Just didnt fit with Fi, although the reworked version sells like crazy for AA. Thanks, Scott

Subs are 10lbs heavier than the last version. Most likely the labels were done before we had them entered into UPS for the new weights. More trouble than its worth to void a label, email the customer to tell him that the new labels and weight are for the "new" version and the emails that will go back and forth from there. UPS will charge us the correct weight and its a non-issue... You will be getting the new ones Coding is done, but so is my time here today. Ive forwarded things home and will get it finished when things wind down at home. Mondays always leave little time for anything that isnt related to kicking products out the door. thanks, Scott

Working on the 15s and 18s now... hopefully in an hour or two itll be up. The carbon fiber looked bad Working on another version of things. Hopefully soon for that one too. Thanks, Scott

Info for all the options is in the tech section too. Thanks, Scott

Not an issue any longer as we switched to the integrated lead pack a few months back. It simply adds another set of leads to each side. Thanks, Scott

Our designer over in the UK is working on a couple of things for us. He will get our shirt logos for the "city" and "vegas" shirts in sized formats to me soon as well as a couple of other new ones. Working on an uploadable database for customer vehicles as well.

Shipping guys were in a good mood when they packed your order. Normally they only give out a couple of stickers Stickers will be up on the site in a day or two as well. 4", 12", and 23" width Fi logos, "www.ficaraudio.com" in 32", and a couple of other smaller variations. Got the grey shirts with black logos on the site on Friday and they are selling well... as are the girls black tank tops, which I was surprised to see how many sold over the weekend. Didnt think those would move until summer time. Thanks, Scott

Actually... they are ready to go and have been since I pulled things off the site... just havent had enough hours in the day to get things edited pic wise. We are running final day of TS params for long term test too. With family out of town as of tonight for vacation, Ill have a few more hours to get things done. Coding/logic for new options is done as well. New BL comes with the Pole Chamfer as standard and uses a copper coil as standard now to. Options of cooling, hyper-pole chamfer (extended pole chamfer for increased compression ratio for cooling and comes standard in the cooling package), flatwind coils, ELW is now standard too with 4 sets of leads like the BTL, and we are adding more logo color choices for the dustcaps as well (chrome, candy blue, candy red, engine turned aluminum, brushed aluminum, and fire). Sub price goes up a little, but considering the motor is larger by a good amount, and the PC and ELW are included... its actually about the same with those options added in. Since we do more of them we can offer a better price. Shipping does go up a little too as the sub is almost 10 lbs heavier. Thanks, Scott

Some of the parts simply wont fit... nor would they beneficial. We can beef things up on the sub more if you need us to. BTL and BL suspension is far too stiff for a Q motor to support it with useful specs. Thanks, Scott
