well my vmoda silcon jacket snapped a lil bit about half way through. there case sucks, it creates a pretty big kink and since the silcon is fairly thick and rigid it snapped, cable is intact but a little electrical tape helped. i couldnt use heatshrink because i couldnt get the heatshrink tube to fit past the headphone jack. and i wasnt about to cut the cable. I went ahead and wrapped the cable in techflex in hopes to prevent this problem. i will post pictures when my camera comes home from bro.

another suggestion. just thinking out loud here. would be if you come out with a small tweeter amp. that does like 30 x2 or 50 x 2 @ 6ohms(or 4). that would be really cool. but i guess there is not a demand for them enough to throw it into production

space for a 6.5". but i dont mind do some glass work being i have 2 gallons of resin just sitting here :/

Sense you are doing tweeks on the amp, ever consider getting rid of that bass boost all together?

Neil, I have a set of ID CD1 mini pros on the way i plan to cross them at 1k. You say the sdx7 is decent from 7-800 on down. will i see a big spike if run them from 50-1k? Eq should help?

ok i read some more. if i get the Pro. i wont have to eq as much as if i had cd1e(since the cd1e is peizo driven). so i think i will get the pros, and play with them. and if need more processing i will buy one.

I have an opportunity to buy either. full bodies or mini. I am planning to go full. but my question is: 1. Is it worth the extra money to get the pro instead of the cd1e? 2. Will i notice a significant difference? I plan to use a passive crossover that i will make (from schematics the ID tech gave) but will be EQing using my eclipse cd7000(7band peq). iirc i can only use passive on the cd1e and not the pro. correct? I dont think my deck has a fancy enough dsp to handle the pro?...or am i wrong? thanks. oh btw id like for them to play down to 1kish. my mids are hertz hsk 165s if it matters.

I think you didnt read my first post entirely i got the schematics from the ID tech. It will be far from "off the shelf"... it will be an inline passive just for the horn. the mids will be controlled actively through deck.

yeah thats what i thought . i know the cd1e can be ran on the passives with no issues. but the pros will have disputes.

New, I've liked Classic Records' 200g re-issues, Simply Vinyl's 180g, ElusiveDisc, MusicDirect...but be prepared for sticker shock at some of those places. i collect vynals too, but they are older. i was asking about new albums coming to vynl?

I am going to be real strong on this opinion of mine. Mdf is heavy, mean on blades, and to cheap of a quality material... meaning it doesnt screw well at all. thankyou, and yes its still very much alive, the enclosure was rattling so i carpeted the bottom of the box to stop it from rattling i will have to make a video of it to show you all. only thing that really rattles bad is the trunk lid(which is unavoidable) & the rear deck. the rear deck is annoying me big time. I plan to purchase some rattlepad and damplifier soon. stock is dash mounts, however mine doesnt have those stock tweeters, there are dummy plates there. I like them in the pillars. They seem rather high to the eyes but any lower it sounded as if the sound was coming from steering wheel instead of mid windshield. I must admit after more listening I definitely need to get more power to the mids(well mainly the lower end of the mids) to bring them alive and to pull the stage further forward.
