I would do Stereo integrity subs or obsidian they are great for the price and I used them both in Home audio applications for music performed great! -

Whats the ohm load if you wire eight dual four ohms drivers? I know four of them ran "series/parallel" is 2ohm load. Would that mean adding four more in the same wiring configuration make it a final load of 4ohms?

The same as series parallel It would look exactly like that 2 sets of 4 wired in parallel (black to black red to red) of the end of the chain. This is the only way to wire eight of them (two pairs of four) wired in a 4ohm independence?

I you dont want compactness. Check out ebay and buy a refurbished or used desktop tower. If you have a hdmi hook up on your tv just buy a 12ft cord and boom! Hooked up for 300 and less -

The zcons are a totally different monster compared to xcons. They do prefer the bigger boxes but a little bit below 3 isn't so bad. I would go with a slot port save a little bit of space. Always could invert the zcon if you are able.
