buddy has a pair of polk 6.5db components and im running the polk 6.5mm components same setup style and its very hard to hear the difference. Mine get a little louder but not that noticeable. my 2cent on the subject about the price various performance aspect.

Isnt that bad if you have 12volt batteries running anything that high? would you have to switch out batteries and run 14volts? -

My recommendation is crescendo been so from the start crescendo 3kwp -
dont blow your fi bl's they can take power but the crescendo can also deal alot of power.
