Both of those reasons are subjective. Please don't use subjective reasons to convince the OP to use something or another. i don't think they are at all. the sa 8 is not a beast? you tell me another company that takes care of there customers like sundown. Do you know what subjective means? are you for real with that question.

can't go wrong with the sa 8 and i cant say enough about the cs at sundown
-
i would go with the sa series for two reasons one it's a beast and two sundown audio is hands down the leader in customer service.

thats the sickest bone yard i've ever seen

Show me a video of an SA-8 mounted IB doing wonders. And no, not some stupid useless excursion video. By no means am I knocking the driver, but in general 8" subs don't usually make a lot of sense. A 10" takes nearly only the same space sealed or ported and has a huge cone advantage. There is no SQ disadvantage either and in fact a larger driver in general will do better at the same output levels as it doesn't have to move as much to make the same output. IMO it is a VERY rare application where the 8 is a better choice and this gets even more so when you are talking about a single driver. Obviously it is space that defines this, but again its a miniscule difference. all im stating is the fact that 1 sa 8 alone will pound it's up to him and the enclosure to take advantage of the little beast' i have 1 and i know what it will do It's not so much that the 8" will have poor output relatively speaking, it's that a 10" can be used in a box that isn't all that much bigger and will give more output. i can understand that it's just so much cooler when you tell people it's 1 8

it just seems like he's under cutting you and it looks alot like the e8 with a bigger motor ... and ? Noooob. You act like you know this industry well. Care to enlightin us even more? I haven't even seen the Skar sub, but if its cheaper, their is a reason why. But I'm sure you already know this, I'm surprised nobody is knocking down your door trying to get you to work for them. all i know is what i read you should try it sometime.kevin put it up this am you would think you would of checked it out before talking ish but thanx for your input. dude i got 1 sa 8 and i love it you want to hate be my guest. oh yea all i own is chevys so hate on that too.

-
it just seems like he's under cutting you and it looks alot like the e8 with a bigger motor ... and ? and maybe you could shed some light on why you would help him develop a line that is supposed to be better on the bottom and be a little bit cheaper than the sa line
-
i see kevin @ skar has got his 8 on the way and priced under the sa wtf.
-
i don't know about anyone else im ready for the x 8 pre order
-
If he has the space to go with a 10" or 12", why bother with an 8"... Better efficiency in terms of output and power. have you ever heard an sa 8 in a nice ported box? im guessing no or you would'nt be saying why bother.
-
sundown is coming out with the x 8 and thats gonna be a beast. i got 1 sa 8 in 1 cube tuned @ 35 and it's unreal.they get real low and for 135 how can you beat that
-
i think if you bought a sundown sticker with a wrinkle in it jacob would take care of it!
-
the sa 8 kills i only have one in my truck and it's unreal and the customers service you get from sundown is second to none.
-
i love this little sub and wouldnt let anything else go back in it's box
-
so my sa 8 stopped working last week when i pulled it out i thought it had burnt both positve and negitive leads. after i got back from a lil easter trip i was looking closer and it's only the negtive side and its up by the coil. then i found that the nut on the push terminal was backed almost all the way off. Is this something that would be under warranty or should i spend the shipping money on a recone. The sub is less than 3 wks old on a punch 6oo gain at 65% and i was still tring to break it in.
-
i cant get the pics up. i had it powered buy a punch 600. its a d4 down to 2 ohm and i had the gain a little over half no bass boost or anything. the box is around .75 cf tuned around 35 hrtz. i dont think i had it over powered . specs on the punch are 200 rms @ 2 ohm
