You may want to do some more research before spending a lot on your system. Let's start with your max dimensions for your box and then your budget for the whole system.
-
What do you have? I have a d3100 and it hates bass.
-
Pretty sweet. Is this the black edition?

Those are some great shots. This setup sounds great, especially for what it is.

$450 amp budget, which way would you go?

^^ All good points. I know a few people that run under 1 ohm daily no problem but there are definitely things to consider before doing it. -

I know they aren't bad but they aren't top notch that's for sure. -

Flatline FL-1 would be better than those Hifonics. Edit: @ 0.5 on good electrical. -
mids and highs amps

or run the 6's and then add tweeters. -
Agreed...I'm interested. It did a 57.7 @ 49 hz with at least the driver window open. This vid is 2 weeks old.
-
Cool I don't think I ever knew that.
-
I've never heard of a limited edition bl with a 4 in coil?? I don't think a 4in coil would even fit in their 12 spoke baskets. I think the basket is extra, how did he ship the sub?
-
His bass knob is legit Sweet vid I can't wait to hear it. There is a vid of it doing a 57.7 @ 49hz with at least the driver window open.

Of those I would go with the SQ-1200 which used to be audio que if you didn't know that. As already said you can only run it @ 1 ohm or 4 ohm being a dual 2. You will be fine just running it @ 1 ohm right away but like also mentioned upgrade the big 3 to 1/0 wire. I had cooling, p chamber, and the extra spider on mine and it was pretty nice. It already had internal leads I'm pretty sure.
-
That's pretty sweet I've actually never even seen those.
-
I would go with two extra diehard plats instead of one xs Or any two nice group31s really

I'm waiting on my wire to come in so I'm trying to map out how I'm going to wire it up. 1998 Ext f150, 2 15 ufo btls on a saz 3500 for now, eventually 5-7k, Audio Technix ofc 0ga and 10ga just for background info. This will be my first time running my own wire so I just wanted to double check this would be sufficent for my build. I would like to avoid cutting a hole in the floor and since I had a couple holes already I figured I'd use them. The holes are the mounting holes for my back bench that I took out. Obviously the carpet will be cut away completely and the area will be sanded/cleaned up. I'm thinking use a bolt (with or without washers idk what is better) and have ring terminals on both sides. Inside going to amps or batteries and on the underside connect the bolt to the frame with a couple runs. Or would connecting it to the frame not be worth it? There is 1 hole on each side total of 2. I'm not sure if these pics will even help but I wasn't sure what would haha. Underside in relation to my frame And the other hole. (that amp will not be mounted there) and the other underside I know this is asked a lot so I apologize but I just want to make sure this is a good ground and not just a ground that will get me by since I will be upgrading power later. thanks.
