well im most certain the amp isnt putting out 5000watts because if it was it would be almost 3ft long and cost well over $500 used. thats most likely the peak power rating. you need to find out what amp and model then we can tell you weather its a good choice or not. I had just purchased a audioque 2200d amp that puts out 1200watts @ 2 ohms. you have a dual 1ohm so you either wire it to .5 ohm or 2 ohms. so try to find an amp that does anywhere from 1000-1500 rms watts @ 2ohms. hope that helps and great decision on sub choice you will love it

amen to that brotha, when i ordered my bl it was on backorder because of steel issues and i had got a little annsie but once everyone reminded me of how awsome fi is i calmed down and when it gets to your door which it will, you will be more then satisfied..i know i was . so just be patient it will come, waiting longer just makes it better when it gets there

so would a 70a alt keep both stock and hc1400 charged with sub hooked up and most likely lights on cuz i drive more at night, that is if i keep the sub at low gain, also would i be able to hook up my 4ch alpine amp also cuz the stock door speakers they have in the car are complete junk, im thinking either one or the other either hook up my door speakers and amp or hook up my sub and amp until i get bigger alt? but will my 70a alt do ok keeping the battery charged

lol at btl, gotta work your way up the totem poll someday ...might as well start off at the top of the totem poll!!
-
anybody else have any info on it?
-
So what kind of subs are going in that box. looks like a well built enclosure, very nice, I think a V brace would help alot to direct the air flow out.
-
yea thats what i was thinking but i didnt know if the 70a stock alt would keep both charged with a aq2200 and a 400rms 4ch, and yes it is a aq2200 but i will have it wired to 2 ohms not 1 ohm so its pretty much drawing just as much as a aq1200 would, i got the aq2200 so incase i ever wanted to upgrade to the btl i could keep same amp. so do you think with the kinetik in trunk with isolator and stock battery that my alt will keep them charged cuz i mostly drive at night delivering pizzas with my light on.

right now nothing is hooked up in my car, all just sitting in my room because my pops has my maxima now and he put his system in there
-
well my plan for my electrical is doing the big 3 tomarrow with 0 gauge knuconcektz then replacing the stock battery with a kinetik hc1400 and then a ho alt which im thinking should be plenty for 1200rms for sub and 400rms from 4ch. or i was thinking of leaving the stock battery under hood and putting the hc1400 in the trunk, either way im thinking would be enough cuz its no more then 2k watts

damn well if thats true then im out the game for a while cuz i just dont have enough money right now and i want to do this right . damn dinky honda alternators lol, i should start playing the lottery hahaha
-
so you bought from them before? they do have a great feedback score though out of 10k reviews. i dont see how it could be any worse then what i have now though. its just 400$ is ALOT of money right now and i have a part time job with a car payment lol. If only i was rich uhhgg hehe... any donations? hahaha just playin but if thats really true then i may just be waiting a couple months before i even hook anything up in my car, sad cuz i just had bought my fi sub lol

Hello everyone, ok so i had just bought a 2005 honda civic a few days ago and want to put my 12" bl and my aq2200 in it. The honda civic has a 70a alt (terrible yes i know) and a 500 cca 85m reserve battery in it. what im wanting to do is the big 3 which i have my 0g on its way to my house and then upgrade the battery for now because i need to save up for a 170a dc alt. Ok so what im wanting to know is what battery would be better but still fit in the stock location? iv looked everywhere and all i can find is a yellow top that is rated at the same as my stock battery. im only hooking up my aq2200 for now cuz my car wouldnt be able to run my mid/high amp also until i get my alt. im guessing it should be fine with the big 3 and a better batter with my aq2200 wired at 2 ohms seeing 1200watts. so does anybody have any battery suggestions for a 05 honda civic, or maybe would i be able to run a second battery in the back off my alt for now cuz i have a red top thats just laying around or would that burn out my alt? any suggestions would be great! Thanks FI

yea i looked at the xs on there its about $30 cheaper but its still 250$ shipped which is almost 80 more then the kinetik, i think im just gonna go with the kinetik because 250 for a a battery is quit expensive and it cant be that much more better cuz the stats are almost the same. but what do i know i havnt had experience with either haha. Im sure one i get the kinetik and the 170a alt with big 3 my honda will be able to run my aq2200 and my 400watt alpine pdx f4. just wish i had the funds to do it all at the same time.
-
its a tiny little battery so i hope whichever i choose kinetik or xs will fit haha
-
ill try and take a picture of it and show you just to make sure, but im probably gonna go with the kinetik hc1400 just because its $100 cheaper and the xs only has 100 more amps then the kinteik and the same 60 amp hours. funds are kinda tight, is the xs really that much better though?
-
no id have to get the standard polarity cuz when im looking at my battery under my hood the neg is on the left and the pos is on the right
-
sounds good my friend, so the question now is kinetik hc1400 or xs d5100?? the kinetik seems like it would fit better but the xs isnt far off i just dont wanna go cutting away at my new car haha. which would be better though
-
ok thanks for the source, and yes im going to be installing a volt meter also just to be safe, i will only be running the stock alt until i get the funds for the 170a dc which is a couple weeks, just dont want to put any strain on the new ride haha.
-
ok so if i get this xs d5100 will my stock alt keep it charged for now?
-
ok i found a kenetik hc1400 that would be the best fit for my car but it says that i have to buy from a local shop?? is that how everyone gets there kenetik batterys or can i order from there site? I dont understand it lol
-
9-5/16 x 5-1/16 x 8-15/16 in ok there is the real measurments, autozone made a mistake haha
-
no its not haha but i went to autozone and types in my car and went to batterys and it showed up a yellow top and a duralast and i went to it and those were the measurments it had for it, very weird i dont understand it.
