i need my ns-1s!

I have a XS-D5100 up front and 3 Deka 9a31s in the trunk. Is this bad to mix and match? Will the XS drain the dekas?

I got an 04 GMC Sierra and wanting to put my system from my car into it. I have 1 XS battery and 3 Dekas. I am considering 1-2 more batteries (prob 1 xs). My question is I've been researching HO alts for it and I think the biggest ones in stock for my truck is the sp320 and the xp390. I'll be running close to 7K watts on 2 18s. I know I'll be drawing over 320 amps of current. Is the 320 plenty? or should is the 390 more in the ball park?

ordered my d3400 yesterday, should be here today.

although the 390 is a beast, i consulted with dc and they said the 270xp is plenty for my 7K watts. I'm ordering mine soon!

see, man, thats what i'm pondering on. thats a big jump. the 270 xp is-what-20 or so more amps at idle. so then 270 will be the max i get out of this one at about 2k rpm and 390 is the max for the 390 xp at 2k? So with a battery bank of 4 in the back and 1 up front, will i benefit greatly with choosing the 390 over the 270xp?

no, ill be just competing in 1 street class and occasionally in drive-by (measured 6ft outside the car) for 30 seconds. 470 is alot for 15 amps!

the only problem with that is meca doesnt allow dual alts in street class. so i gotta stick with 1 alt and need to know the best one to get.

So the xp 390 is my best option? or is there a better option alternator that DC has?

O.K. thanks. I'm taking these out of my car as I'm putting a new set-up in my truck. So I want to transfer the batteries to my truck. Which series should be in the engine bay and which one is the cab. As far as 3100 and 3400.

I have 2 3500s and they are the best amps I've ever had. I've been buying amps since 96 (my rookie year, lol) starting with power acoutic, but mostly kickers. By far these are the most efficient, power houses I've owned.

No, to be honest, I dont know how 2 do that. My main goal is to break 150 in the lanes. I want to put terminals on the outside of the box, so i could wire it back to 1 ohm for daily use. I dont listen to it above 1/2 volume anyway on a daily basis. The only time it would be wired to 0.25 would be for a burp. Easiest way to to do the wiring is to use threaded rod and wire each coil seperately then you can wire it on the outside of the box how you want. There should be some topics here on SSA measuring box rise. Ok, thanks for the info.

I have 2 ns v.2 12's D2 and 2 3500s strapped to 1 ohm. How ballzy must 1 be to strap to 0.5 for 0.25 each? Would there be a good db gain?
