i believe all public schools in florida now use 6.0 scale. and lots of private schools switching over as well. it mainly has to do with honors and a.p. course. like for example if i get an A in my A.P. us hist. i get a 5.0 averaged in which to public schools running the new scale is a 6.0, and then a B for me = 4.0, etc.. it fricken retarded. /discussion. lol

key word "if" but who knows, i can pull crap outa my ass like theres no tomm. just like my sweet talking skills of possibly receiving my grad present of coming out with a 4.2 gpa which is based on the old 5.0 scale instead of new 6.0 scale which is equivolent of around a 4.5 =]. i can see that new car already. but yeah we'll see what direction my camry takes me with sq, it so tempting to buy other audison lrx series amps to go with the 1.400 ill be getting till ur slow ass comes up with the 250.2 =] =] =] jk jk. but even though im tempted to sell the 100.4 and pick up a lrx 4.300 to match the 1.400 lrx, it stupid to sell it to rebuy it when u release the 250.2 in couple months. But i have some $$$ now jacob. ill pm u tomm about some subs again Peace yall. Mike-

if only i was heading in the spl direction like i planned on...... who knows if the sD1 v2's are a huge hit in the sq department like they're getting there could be a sq competition but there arnt as many comps for sq. Mike-

ha yea jacob has helped this youngin (me) im 16, with my system and with numerous questions and by feeding my car audio addiction with several amps all have been handled by jacob with great customer service. and when one 100.2 refurb went wrong with the same problem it had before when he got it to service it. i received a new 100.2 shortly after he received it. havnt had a single problem other than that once occurence with the 4 amps i have bought from him. 3 were used / refurbs but im down to the 100.2 and 100.4 on the front stage and it is audio nirvana to my ears. but i do find humor in me having more wattage up front then in the sub department. seeing how i replaced the 1000D with a us amps md22 which sounds very nice like sundowns as well, but i do miss the output of the 1000D in a small package. but it did sound a tad bit nicer, prob because it a class a/b bridged instead of a class d. but it pulling more electric current for sure.

refurb only means it was either using used or slightly cosmetically damaged parts that are in full functional condition in conjuction with new parts either replacing old broken parts on a used amp, or the amp was as i said slightly cosmetically damaged which is most of the time not a big damage, like maybe a scratch here or there. i bet jacob would send a pic of the cosmetic damage if it was important to you. im running a sae-1000D i bought in december but didnt install till late febuary. it going strong........... (knock on wood, jk) because i know all jacobs amps are built to last many many years, honestly if i actually sell a sundown amp, it going to be replaced by another. so right now im selling my sae-1000D proto to be replaced in 4-5 months by his new amp he working on still the 250.2. but if i wasnt going sq, i would pick up a used 1500D or refurbished 1500D knowing that it was built to outlast. if sealed properly and built properly and installed / tuned properly on a correct number of watts for ur driver, ull be surprised by there efficiency of amount of watts it takes to get em moving and wanging. only heard 1 ib setup at car show. some dude with 3 idmax 12s in rear deck off 1200 watts i believe and omg........ it was best sq and LSQ attempt ever heard. it was so beautiful sounding while being pretty damn loud. but he was a veteran to competing. forget his name. he had an altima i wanna say

well guys speaking of noise, i have lil story thats good and bad. i was in a situation yesterday where i was in slow lane on interstate doing about 65 and this younger lady in front of me was jamming along. we were on a straight away part of the interstate. She didnt notice but up ahead 3 of the cars up in front of her were slamming on there brakes to come to a complete stop. and she jamming along and at last moment just slamsss on her brakes and pulls right into the break down lane. Well because it was straight away and im in my 94 camry, (low with all weight of gear and it old suspension.) so i couldnt see in front of her. When she does this i immediately slammed on my breaks and looked to pull left but i was pinned in the lady in break down lane to right and 18 to left. so i was praying i could stop. i got the car down to around 25 - 30 mph before i hit the car in front of me in rear. Well after this happened and we all scooted over, the couple got out while i stayed in car. and they had a laugh when they looked at their bumper and when they walked over to me. Both cars were camrys, both cars felt a very bigggg hitt when we collided, noone was hurt, not a scratch on either vehicle. no dents, no broken lights or anything. i hit them with a slight turn toward my left so only thing that happened to my car was i guess there is a 2 layer protection front end collision thing where it will damage a piece of metal closer to light assembly and grille before it hits engine chassis and what not. this was bent slightly, but didnt affect position of hood, lights, bumper. it affected the grille which was .5" slightly up on the right side of my car. so i undid bolt realigned and it dropped down again. I happy that both people had zero damage, and i got off with nothing cause i no it my fault still even though lady in front was the real contributor (law sucks some times and is so wrong) However point im getting at is my big 3 wiring had a chassis ground around where the 1st layer of metal of front end was near windshield wiper liquid. And it looked fine. but for some reason now i have no idea why but it seems like my stereo has a bit of noise now introduced into the system. any idea what maybe might be affected by the accident. should i just go throught and retighten all connection? do u guys have to clean off your connectors ever from oxidation or bare wire or the ground spot? Mike-
-
it just harder to get to desired range, but honestly if u dont mind screwing around with crossovers on amp till u dial it in, then i dont see why 100.4 isnt sufficient, i use my 880prs in conjunction with my 100.2 and 100.4 crossovers for my 3 way front stage active + sub. mid bass - 80 - 12 or 80 18 works best, sometimes ill drop to 50 at 24 or 63 at 18. run it up to 400iish, have mid ranges hit 450 to 2.8 both at 18db and then i have tweeter passed at 5 @ 18. (cdts dont like low freq crossover point so 5 blends great. cdts hd642 what im running active except replaced hd-6 with IDcx4 type drivers. Mike-

great job on the deadening looks like u just got trunk floor and floor and firewall left keep it up. then foam if u bought some. if not then doooooo itttttt =]!!!!!!

how hard is it to cut lengths and resolder the connectors they provide u? i ordered 3x 4m karmas for my brother 350z, along with some idq's, dls iridiums, custom kicks by bing, =] should be nice. Mike-
-
honestly i would hitup the knukonceptz loc rca end connectors for 10 for 4 and buy some nice canare star quad and tech flex and have urself an unbeatable rca for around 25$

these i think was what he recommended to me for the subwoofer bridge cable when bridging like 1000D's or 1500D's using the coaxial cable they offer in same style. mike-
-
the real question........... what does jacob use. obvioussly he'd know which rcas have the most solid connection (excluding locking rca diy cables) i thought i remember him recommending the esoteric u can find at partexpress.com mike-

Looking for a sub that will work well in a small sealed enclosure.
theothermike replied to imhungnurnot's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
what he says is true, that why u see people who take the time to build a proper box for 2 15"s ported or bandpassed or something and because the enclosure is near perfect they are able to beat out competitors with 2x as many woofers, on 2x the amount of watts. Now in this case it is spl related, and i do understand other factors such as dampening metal and sealing everything up nice and tight is important, as well as power but u still understand what i mean. I agree with before statement wait till new mags are out. Mike- -
i like my kicker and knukonceptz rcas work great

I know many are wondering, What the 250.2 update?
theothermike replied to theothermike's topic in Sundown Audio
sounds like i found the class a/b amp ill be using for 2 idq v3's =] instead of 2 sax 100.2's of course was the other option =] either way it would been more sundown amps, but in case of taking up room, "less is more" -

How to hook up two alternators with different amp outputs?
theothermike replied to patented17's topic in Advanced Discussion
i have a 94 camry (92 - 96 all the same) and i have a 200 amp iraggi alternator. check ebay. 1st one broke but he payed for shipping back and sent a new one while broken one was on way back. had a new one up in a week after i told him about it going down. pretty quick. still inconvence but great guy. -
o better yet ran ib expose basket and such? but i have a feeling 4 of these would be needed for adequate cone area when running ib. mike-
-
wow these 8's with chrome baskets would look amazing with a inverted mount to them =]
-
ill throw the 3rd support for the final ruling that jacob gets back to work on the 250.2 as a great option for me to use that amp for some nice sq subs =].
