    Boxes : 12" Havoc

I know trhe math im just asking for clarification on whats considered the port. just the opening or the entire area inside the box thats part of the port....

    Boxes : 12" Havoc

I figured I was just checking. By port area that means like space inside the box that is considered to be the port right? Or just the opening?

    End of 0.5 ohm coverage

Well, one I never argue with Jacob, two, i don't wanna risk my integrity. So with that said, to run 2 amps at .5 ohm or even 2 amps at 1 ohm. What kinda of electrical should I have, Im lookign to upgrade next car to more then one 2400 and more then one 15"... HO Alt, and 2 runs of 1/0 and 2 2400s should be plenty right? Thats a lot of weight looks like im getting an SUV =) Two 2400s with a 200-300 amp alternator should do nicely. Biggest alternator you can find is advisable, *especially* if you intend to run them at 1/2 ohm. John is correct, at 1/2 ohm you can draw 220 amps of current. Ok thanks guys... I saw some Bstock for sale on ebay, im very tempted to pick an extra one up. Thats just a lot of work to add another 1500D to the setup... I believe im going to wait till i get the new car. Or what not. I wanted to just make sure I didn't blow up my car or catch it on fire, thats all. I hate being that kid who fudges things up and doesnt listen to people who know more... Thanks jacob.

Mar. 27, 2007 Payment To KLUVKUSTOMS Completed Details -$800.00 USD $0.00 USD -$800.00 USD Question, guys regarding this... I have 1 dd3515 and 1 1500d right now, with a stock ult and a 2400 in the trunk. Its running 1 ohm. I want to add another amp and run them both at .5, till i upgrade my sub stage to 2 AQHDs or 2 3515. Do I have what it takes to run a second 1500D of my electrical and have them both at .5 with out a hitch? or should I just wait and get the second amp when i get the additional subs?

    Final Got it.

Ive been planning and install for over 2 years swapping out different components and subs and wiring and batteries and even cars. But I finally landed a good job and was making money I decided it was time to treat my self. Back when Jacob started SA, I was excited to get the new amps and was even going to test .5 ohm, yeah that long ago, is when i really started to plan this system, well a couple weeks ago I finally got it installed by Aaron over at Innovative rides. It was a quick weekend install and I just wanted the major work done. I still have to fix the dash and finish the rear deck, but I wanted to post how happy I was that it was done and how much I have enjoyed the SA amps. I am running in my 03 VW Jetta GLI, Alpine IVA-W200 with ipod, 6.5 2way Hertz Space components which sound so amazing to me, its unreal. The 100.4 was a perfect match. I also have Hertz Coaxials in the rear for fill and sound dept, also used when watching surround sound dvd movies. For the sub stage I got a 1500D and a DD 3515. This system was a major improvement over my jl 500/1 and 2 jl 10w3v2 with type s coaxial speakers. I also upgraded and got a second battery in. I put a Kinetik 2400 in the trunk, and kicker 1/0 through out the car. I wanted the install to look as factory as possible besides the double din alpine deck. My hertz are all under the stock grills. The tweeters are in the stock positions as well and it sounds great. When to door speakers where installed they used baffles and hustmatted the doors twice over. Perfect. I looked on when the doors where done. Since the install was such a rush and i and the installer where busy, no during install pictures where taken. Im sorry. My ipod is connected in the console. I have not secured the battery casing yet and its not in place by a 2x4 wedge between it and the wall of the trunk... All being taken care of this weekend. As for this weekend. I will be gutting the trunk more and deadening and relocating the battery behind the box as to secure it better. The 3515 is in a dual ported box, in the trunk. And will be pushed closer to the rear of the car. I know you all are not even reading this and are going to look straight at the pictures so here are some decent 2 mega pixel pictures... Taken with my blackberry, this weekend I am doing some work on it and I will upload more pictures that are from a 10.1 mega pixel camera. Im sorry again for the poor quality its hard to keep cell phone steady I will get more pictures this weekend.

What u think of this hook up

Hey im new to this just trying to get suggestions He gave you suggestions. You were asking to be told specifically what to do. No i was asking what u would do if u were in my position Here is my suggestion to you. Go to the shop. Take a cd with what your going to listen to with you. Play it in the same deck, same amp, just switch different speakers. Listen to each type of speaker and figure out what your ears like. Remember its not exactly how it will sound in a car, but its better then nothing. IMO you can spend 5K on a component set that everyone says is awesome. But if your ears don't like then your out the money, so it who cares what stuff you do buy. Also some other points of interest, take more then 1 type of music with you. Also, play it low, medium, and hi, volumes see how the speakers handle it. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT MAKE SURE THE EQ ON THE DECKS ARE OFF and there is no bass boost so you hear more about the speakers and less about the deck unit. Hope this helps. I know it might seem dumb but its really what sounds about its not about the equipment in your trunk (GRANTED SOME EQUIPMENT IS KNOWN FOR BEING chit) but its more how it sounds to you.
