I get pissed about the warranty work too. Sucks. Same here. I mean who keeps receipts for years? J for anything lifetime I doSorry Ishould have indicated my sarcasm there. I already learned my lesson once. J Sadly I still have receipts for stuff I bought in the 80s. I keep all owners manuals and receipts.

I won't tell you that it takes me about an hour and a half to tune them up. Hey bud, how is your neck doing?

Never gap a platinum plug... never. I wouldn't use Lucas in oil unless there is a problem. Zinc additives are beneficial, but steer clear of others. I use BG's MOA on every other oil change. Motorcraft Synthetic is perfectly fine. It does not break down any more quickly then any others. I do run Marvel (1/2 quart in the gas tank, 1/2 in the oil) once a year. I usually do this ~500 miles before the oil change is due. Most fuel additives will provide better cleaning, but today's fuels are loaded with cleaners. I do like the fact that Marvel will clean and lubricate the major fuel system components (like the fuel pump and injectors). Seafoam is also an excellent cleaner. I use it in my bikes, mowers, tractors and small engines once a year and use it to clean the injectors in my cars/truck (under pressure) every 30K.

I found some for >$20 for my Asus. I always have 3. 1 at work, 1 at home, and 1 in my truck. Sure they are Chinese, but they have lasted a year now.

I suggest ONLY Motorcraft on your motor. I suggest a tad bit of anti-sieze on the threads. you are NOT going to have fun. you have to pull the fuel rails and everything to get to the plugs. i would HIGHLY suggest you put new coil packs in at the same time so you only uave to do it once. No, you don't have to pull the rails. From what I have seen, I agree. I just didn't know if I needed special rules for the spark plugs. Special grease or what ever. The 5.4 takes a different plug (2 piece) and make sure you use some pb blaster (allows plug to break free easier) and then blow the hole out with compressed air. Take your time because if you break one, boy they can be a bitch without the proper tool. Silcone dielectic grease on the little boot at the end of the coil. The 3 valve motor uses the 2 piece side electrode, not the motor in the Expy. Ford has a bulletin about the plug removal on this so the plugs do not pull apart. Let engine sit for several hours to cool, turn all plugs out 1/2-1 turn, use a non-evaprorative carbon cleaner (I like Sea-Foam) and pour 1-2 tablespoons into the hole and allows to soak for several hours, then remove the plugs. The carbon cleaner breaks the side electrode free from the buildup that creates the issue.

Best turbo timers in my opinion use an exhaust gas temperature sensor. But I see no reason for that not to work. Come off the high-way, use engine braking and your EGT's will drop crazy fast. My sled will drop from 1300 to 400F in about 10 seconds. Of course there is a LOT less mass. I saw some drag sleds racing the other day and thought about you. One of the guys on one of the quad forums drag races sleds in 600 and 700 classes. It is amazing to see him jerking the skis off the ground 2-3 feet easily.

This snow is a fukkin nightmare for me. I am glad you will get some joy. I'm just pissed. Yeah, well my little guy got sick so guess who has to stay home? First fucking snowfall of the winter I am in town for and I can't use it. Booooooo... I'm sorry man. Somehow he turned around so fast he went to daycare. Burned a tank and a half of gas. And broke an a-arm ending my day and season. Amusing since I bought new A-arms yesterday. Plan was to sell mine and not lose $$, but shit happens when you pound ditches. EPIC snow.Good that he got better. Bummer about the a-arm.

Weird that the screen is non functional. They aren't going to include "broken" in a sales pitch.

It really was a good time. We got my son running up and down some serious hills. When we first went out he was anxious about it, and didn't want to hit some of the hills. By the time we were coming back we couldn't keep him off them. We showed him how to get some air at the top too, which he ate up. He loves catching air and there isn't a whole lot more exciting then getting air at the top of a 50 foot hillclimb. We ran all over the place. Lots of places right near my house that I had no idea about, and he said he knew a lot more places right near here. Next weekend we are getting a party of about 10 to a dozen people and hitting up some more spots. Should be a good time. I am thrilled that these new neighbors moved in. I am tired of stuck up prick ass neighbors. That's sweet. Most of the stuff we ride doesn't have much for jumping, but the occasional step up out of a wash arises. Last weekend we had a group of 10, and holy shit was it dusty. I hear you about the dust. I suffered because I was in the back, and the lower part of my lens kept popping out of my goggles. so the shit was getting in my eyes. Fucking piece of shit goggles... I looked at that before. But this time I bookmarked it. Thanks.

You should. It would give you something to do when you can't ride your sled.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Sounds fun--bringing a camera? I brought my phone. Took a few pics. We started at about 10 and rolled up onto the trailer at 5:30. We did hill climbing, trail riding, drag raced at an old abandoned airfield, tore it up in a quarry, hit some riverbeds, jumped... oh, and we stopped for gas/drinks twice. I am fucking tired, but we all had a blast. My buddy has a 500 Scrambler with the 560 Athena big bore kit. I kicked his fuckin ass in a drag race. My TRX450R, Tommy's 500 Scrambler, and my son's CRF230F on one of the woods trails; My son doing some riding The top side of the quarry we rode in today A little further off into the distance you can see the water. Apparently they hit a spring and submerged a bunch of equipment in there, including a crane. We rode down to the water, pic forthcoming Said Water: Just my filthy ass bike. I was covered in mud when I got home, my hair was full of mud clots. It was a killer 7 and a half hours of riding. We really covered a lot of ground

Going for a long ride today. My neighbor's father knows of an abandoned quarry that people have made an MX course in. It is 5-10 miles each way worth of good trail riding to get to it too. I have to go out and adjust my suspension like NOW.
