Pre-wash foam soak using deionized water, a concentrated shampoo, and warm water in my foam lance. After a thorough hand wash the entire car received a chemical decontamination. It is hard to see the embedded iron deposits "bleeding out" of the paint, trim, and even glass, but you can see remnants of them in the redish water on the driveway.

I'll ask him when he updates me tomorrow.

LOL! I don't have the time, patience, or equipment for this kind of work. That is actually a cleaner he uses to remove iron deposits from wheels. It is actually clear, but it turns red when it reacts with and neutralizes iron deposits. This is a good friend of mine who runs his own detailing business. He is sending me pics of progress.

So the new car is out for a detail and coatings. Full paint correction, windows buffed and coated, wheels cleaned, iron deposits removed, buffed and coated. Entire vehicle, lips, underhood, jams, etc coated... double coated up front, lips, hood, and mirrors. Interior protection added and deep cleaned, etc. I get it back next Sunday. Forecast for 9 days following detail? 8 days of fucking rain. First 2 days of detailing...

I can understand that. The Martins are more like a solid state and the Taylors are tubes. I prefer the warmth of a Taylor to the clinical Martin.
-
Nice.

My Scooby is currently at the detailer. Getting a coating job done. No more wax or worries... just blow it off with a leaf blower. My son loves the Taylor. I love the warm sound they have. As far as sub $1000 acoustics, they are among my favorites. I've heard some really nice Lunas too. Great choice! My son's favorite. He is currently saving for this guitar.

??? The AMG CL65 has a biturbo V12 and it's been around for quite a while. I did some brake work on one and got the opportunity to do a little... shall we say, spirited driving. Not nearly as much fun as I thought it would be, though.

Thinking about swapping my pool to salt water. I'm so tired of maintenance.

2017, new global platform which had me really interested. It's the Sport model, so it has the WRX suspension, brakes, torque vectoring, etc., heated seats, heated wipers, red stitched/black/carbon fiber interior. I got it fully loaded, with Eyesight (accident prevention braking, lane keep assist, cruise control distance maintenance, so it speeds up, slows down, stops, and starts with surrounding traffic... basically it drives itself), the Harmon Kardon system, with Android auto, apple play, etc. The car handles like a beast, in the snow and dry pavement. It is ridiculous in the snow. The interior is frikken beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice at all. I'm waiting for my son to be off my insurance and until the new global platform hits the WRX line to grab a WRX.

Hey, Neal! Been super busy lately. Things are still far from slowing down. But I had been talking on here about buying a Kimber for a couple years... Figured I'd share it . Add in the new MJs, and I knew I had to at least say hi! Bought a new Subaru and became partners in a local shop since last visit, too. Thanks! I may grab a few grips for it, just to play, but it has all the add ons I wanted. Carry melt, tritium sights, ambi-thumb safety, rosewood grips, front strap checkering, trigger work (crazy 4.5# trigger with near zero creep or reset, best I've felt on a pistol).
-
Thanks! Just grabbed it Sunday. I'm a believer. You have to try them on to believe it.
-
Uh oh... I also bought some Maui Jims. The lens clarity is unreal.
-
She only has 2 hands... that's barely enough for me.

The V10 is absurdly large. My wife has one... but she likes big things in her hands.

I have heard some CMPs, but never really got to play with them, but my recollection is soft. I left out some TC sounds and Eminence drivers. I honestly have not had the opportunity to play with any of your subs, Aaron. It's not that I have stayed away for any reason, just with my assortment of Brahmas and Kodas have kept me happy. I haven't bought a sub in better than 7 years. My youngest son could use a driver for his ride. Perhaps we can discuss filling his needs. We have nothing at all in the car at this point, so we are wide open with power, but I would like to stay sealed. I'm also on the fence about doing an IB manifold in my media room. Figuring on dual 15s opposed with ~250 watts at 4 ohms. Do you guys have anything that may fit the bill?

W6V1s were not all that. If that is your reference, you need to stop. Sean has forgotten more quality drivers than you have heard. We were around in the big design era, we understand driver technology and we have been around a lot more than most people. JL was able to take so much tech from the design of the W7 and implement it into the W6V2 design that made it a pure SQ driver, but it still obtained a parabolic bl linearity curve on DUMAX, and you could hear it. Sure, linearity was better on the V2s than most overhung designs, but we saw so many boutiques that killed it. With linearity, in the lower octaves, comes transparency. The W6V2 was still behind any XBL2 designs by Dan Wiggins, from the Brahma, to the Koda, to the Tummult, the ShivaX, the MaelstromX, and the TempestX. I would compare the W6V2 with Dan's similarly sized Shiva (12) or Tempest (15). Similarly we had the JBL GTI (not today's knock offs, but the monstrous dual staggered coil units), the original XXX (XBL2 driven), and several other drivers that realized linear BL. I'll run my Brahma V2 against anything for pure SQ with absurd output.

Are you unhappy with the W6 or the box? I love the W6. If I didn't have a collection of Brahmas and Kodas I would be running a W6. It has been a few years since I had my hands on one, but I found the build quality and sound reproduction to be exceptional... Their boxes, however, were not impressive at all. I have also always felt the W7 was overrated. Not in terms of build quality, but reproduction is muddy and bloated. It is nowhere near as linear and transparent as the W6.

MTD makes the big box store mowers. They are junk.

Great show.

Kick ass, bro!

I have an open mind and broad experiences. I'll try everything. I have tried a ton of odd shit, and actually enjoyed it. I'm not going to compartmentalize my food experience to soda water and sushi. My definition is in the dictionary. You don't bring culture with you, you enjoy it when you go there. What may seem odd to you, may mean the world to the citizens in the area you are visiting. Take off the blinders.

Sorry. NYC has more. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._cities_with_large_Polish-American_populations I knew Sloan NY had a big population by volume, and the Southtowns of Buffalo had a big population too. The Broadway Market is awesome for Polish food. Everyone in the Southtowns seemed to be a "SKI". You should see me old yearbook.

Yes, every city. Nearly every large city develops on major bodies of water, albeit a lake, river, ocean. You may not like the foods, but many cities have their culture, nightlife, foods, etc. I would much rather eat in Philly, NY, NewOrleans, etc. than Shitcago. Hell, even Buffalo has better access to a big lake, the Erie Canal (Canalwalk), killer local foods, and nightlife (bars serve till 4AM). I prefer Buffalo to Chicago, any day. Actually, Chicago ranks 5th in the murder rate, behind Baltimore, Detroit, Vegas, and DC, but my statement was gun murder, which it ranks #1. It ranks first in almost every gun related crime. Unfortunately, gun laws are relevant, in particular to people like you who don't own a gun. The less likely that a CC is in a room, the more likely an armed criminal will commit a crime... Hence, the reason Shitcago is ranked #1 in almost every category of gun related crime. Not sure what statistics I posted aside from gun murder, but those stats are from last year. This year is even worse, with more gun crime in the first 7 months than all of last year, already. It is not uncommon for over 50 people to be shot in one weekend (one weekend saw 64 shootings this year). Gun crime, regulatory nightmares, gang violence and average food may not affect your standard of living, but they affect mine.

Sounds like almost every city in the US. Chicago is a shithole, dude. It is the most liberal city in the US, it has the strictest gun laws, unemployment is rampant, gangs are out of control, gun murders in Chicago (which is #1 in the country) are equal to the next top 3 cities in the US combined. Shall I continue?
